Here. From a player who hit masters in 3 months starting june set 9, all you really need to know is to try having a strong board and a good spot throughout the whole game. Now that sounds cliche, but just make sure you're picking the right augments that are suitable for your CURRENT board. Don't go picking the true damage augment or some shit because you think you'll be playing it later or ascension because you think you'll be playing it later when it doesn't fit on your exact board/comp. Pick augments that compliment your board. If you don't know what to choose, go to tactic tools and look up the stats on 2-1, 3-2 or whatever stage it is. Try not to pick augments that are dogshit and above 4.50 when you're deciding between 2 augments and don't know whats better unless it's very good in your situation. If you pick an augment thats like 4.7, and you place 5th that game, it's probably cause your augment in some scenarios. Make sure early game you're building up your econ. You're either 3-1'ing it for a 1 cost reroll. 3-2'ing it for a 2 cost reroll. 4-1'ing it for a 3 cost reroll or sending it on 4-2 for a 8 comp composition. So stacking money early is very important. This includes win streaking. It's helpful to build a strong board early on and streak early. if you cant, look to make econ and maybe perhaps open fort and then look for a board on 3-2 to streak on stage 3. The more gold you have, the more you can upgrade your board = win. Other than that, make sure you're scouting and abusing postioning/countering positioning yourself and make sure you aren't playing shitty builds/comps. Check your items to see if they're good, watch streamers see what they build or head over to tactic tools and look at the delta in items of your champions star levelled. negative mean it's good and buildable. If you're playing the meta and not playing greedy, and building the correct items, you should be fine. Low elo is pretty easy, nobody uses their head or brain there. Just pay attention, try not to play stupid shit and don't go rolling to 0 for no reason. Keep your gold, stack it high and level at the right times Also, one more thing to add, don't play contested comps. Unless you're sure you can beat them out, if someone is on country, don't play country unless you already have units yourself or the spot is more favoured in your spot. That's the quickest way to lose, get jebaited and blue balled. You don't wanna die like that. And if you're really freaky, on 4-2, you should be looking at people to see what 4 cost chosens they're playing. There's 10 in the pool. Meaning you should be aware of how many chosens are gone that YOU want so you can make calculated rolls and estimates on how your board is gonna look. In low elo this may not matter too much which is why im adding it last, but in high elo it's very important. You can build good habits early, u might get cucked 1 game cause of this tho. it's important to see how much of your unit is out the pool before rolling. It's also helpful to look at people's items early game. That dictates what they're gonna play because your items lock you into comps. Good luck

Obviously Econ augments will look terrible for edm jax if you’re filtering on 5 edm jax 3, you’re assuming the combat augment Jax players always hit edm headliner Jax 3 and all edm units. Taking a lose streak augment last patch was one of the most consistent ways to get enough gold to stabilize and spike on 3-2 and then send it on 4-1
Looking forward to that updated econ guide! It's my weakest stat (even if just by a little) and I haven't really gotten used to the new streaks and such
S+ on comp and execution, S on flexibility, but econ augments and items are a measly D, B and D and im plat 1. Honestly I think these stats do describe me pretty well thanks!
That’s similar to mine. I play a lot of punk comps which probably hurts the economy. As for items, still learning what works. I also do horrible with country.
i just started trying seriously this set and hit emerald 4 for my first time ever. i looked up my stats and they are the following. Augments, Items, Econ, Flexibility : S+ Compositions : S Execution : F You mentioned between 15:58 and 18:26 that as these other stats go up so should execution so I am still a little confused as to what might be going wrong for me to not be executing these things well enough. I feel like if I executed better I would have already hit diamond.

If Punk Jinx, lose first 3 to be first pick, try to hit spatula. If not emblem, than lvl 8 is cool, sacrifice Vi for Cait/Lucian. Still lvl 9 gives flex, strength and stability in my opinion.
I personally think my econ is bad because I have been playing TFT for such a long time that my brain doesn't adapt yet to the set 10 revamp of the basic rules. "level 8 is the new level 7" for example. I mad roll to zero for 2* 4-cost carry and tank at 8 as you'd normally do in previous sets, think Lux/Azir plus Jarvan/Nasus on set 9 or Sejuani/Ekko plus Samira/Taliyah on set 8, but I don't hit because I forget that the odds are so low now that I should only get an ok chosen and push level 9. Even if I get to level 8 consistently at 4-2 I roll too much instinctively, kinda like in the level 7 rolldown meta of 8.5 at 4-1. And my brain doesn't adapt so in-game I resort to those instincts thinking I should be hitting but I don't. Plus bag size is smaller, too.
For ultra flex players, this habit is still alright for stability via headliner. At level 8 you unlock 4-cost headliners and despite being 30%, it's encouraged to do so because of lobby tempo (as u climb, comps stabilize and peak earlier and earlier) so you don't die off by 4-6. It's after you hit your headliner that you level and go 9 to play for full board.
@@notdesmondesmond i would roll down to 20-30 if i have many copy that i can easily 2 star otherwise just stabilize at 8 and go roll at lv9 instead other reason is you are on bad spot and just roll at level8 to avoid 7-8 and contest 4 5 6 it's always better than get7-8 with full greed sometimes i slow roll at lv8 if i'm leading and still on winstreak i stop roll when i start losing win streak there and go 9 or 10 if i can

My profile often has high execution. Comps vary (I play champions I like and then put a comp around them so it depends on if they are good or not in the meta, right now it's S+ which is interesting because I've played a lot of Emo/Guardian so far and that's never been a "S tier" comp). The rest are usually weaker. Which makes me wonder... if my items and econ, for example, are so bad that they get a C or less...how am I having success with top 4's (A to S+ execution)?

If I remember correctly, there are 12 of each 4-cost in the pool. 10 is true for 5-costs
