The most excellent thing is that they do older songs which you may not be aware of and the sublime performance of 'Dead Boy's Poem' , which you might have seen - I don't know! I paused at 4:08 to say .. this is currently my favorite Nightwish song. That of course is talking about Nightwish .. often I will be listening to a track and think ... "Love it .." .. and then am confused as to what I like better. Seriously .. I would love this played at my wake ... it ends so peacefully .. and .. my mom and dad and my sister .. they are in the wind .. Floor recorded these songs six weeks after giving birth and still hurt to stand. The crew did the recordings in bits here and there since Floor's first priority was to attend to Lucy .. feeding, cleaning, rocking .. and they worked with her. Sweet. Floor stands before us .. minimal makeup .. sure of herself .. the beautiful lines of life on her face. This was the first time in a dozen dozen listening's that I did't tear up. I guess after scores of listens I manned up a bit. :)
I'm 73 and I am the last man standing in my family. I understand the loss, yet I still live with hope and intent. Nevertheless, Floor's voice and this composition is akin to an emotional depth charge to the heart. Her face, good Lord, her beautiful face so expressive and adorned with nothing save her heart and soul just melts me to my core. Some of you get it. Some of you don't. I do, and that's all that matters. Kiitos to all of you in Nightwish for delivering such epic and emotional story telling.
At 67 years old, I never thought that any female vocalist could ever take Karen Carpenter's place as my favorite! Floor is in a league of her own! Toumas Holopainen is the most creative composer/writer tied with Elton John. That's saying alot, as I have been a huge fan since his first album came out back in the late 1960's to early 1970's, when I saw him at the local University's football stadium...and I don't even think there were 3,000 people there! My late father took me, as he loved Elton John! If he was still alive, he would have loved Floor!
This is a song, that makes me smile and cry at the same time. Just perfection! If you want to hear some great drumming, you could check An Ocean of Strange Islands, there’s a nice lyric video. That’s more traditional Nightwish, but it’s also a masterpiece!
this band has some incredible energy and Floor's voice especially at the lower registers her versatilty as both a singer and vocalist and that absolutely gorgeous piano strings such a beautiful light a pillow or soaring through space layers just draw you in and stay with you the whole time but no one else really does this kind music they are the quintecential band when it come to this kind Finnish heavy metal with sounds and colors of a symphony and very progressivce sound then you have the classical music epic in scale but it was just a testament to their vast intellect to write big or smaller pieces of music and their extremely gifted professional musicians and the band that right now has the top sopt for nuber of reacted to videos which is millions even billions i know how popular have have become since i heard wishmaster in 2000 for the first time and so having all of those aspects of rock music and even contemporary because Floor jansen's solo album is doing extremely well where she was recording i said wow she has quite a strong and powerful range and as a heavy metal singer who does have the very versatile ability to reach higher much higher even then as as a progressive metal band from Finland

Pure Floor. I love this song. Btw, this song was Floor's pick for a single, it made her cry when she first heard it (I had the same reaction to this song, it's so touching). Guess about the following picture: This song in the end of an awesome gig, people brought paperlanterns and ledlights simulates fire, others hold up their lighters... everyone shuts up and listens, some swaying goes on. This picture must be awesome for the band - a sea of fire it is absolute NOT ok they don´t tour with this. The Nightwish Army should force them to !
