I found out that the fuel filter was what was causing the pulsating flame. I removed the "foam" filer and replaced it with a fine metal mesh net. Not sure it filters bad fuel but I have no more pulsating and thats good enough for me hehe.
    Cool video, cheers // Andreas

Optimus nova user from Sweden here. Its a trusty stove, Just change some filters et cetera every now and then.
    Interesting flame spreader!
Just curious about what fuel youre using in the video. I mostly run mine on alkylate gasoline. Less benzene and toxic aromatics.
Have run it on diesel while on trips abroad, and also jet fuel once in the Canary Islands. Both worked fine. Diesel leaves some oily tar residue on pots though.
Theres less priming with gasoline, some say its a bit more dangerous with explosion risk though.
    Thanks for the great video!

For those interested: I tried using the fuel line adapter in a Trangia 27 series cookset, using a genuine Trangia cup adapter for the Nova burner. There was not enough space in the Trangia 27 to allow the fuel line adapter to be used, it hit the side of the Trangia and the stove assembly would not seat properly in the lower windscreen. I have not tried it in a 25 series Trangia.

    Two errors in my dialog:
-The clicking you hear when moving the tool under the jet for cleaning is the jet cleaning needle moving, NOT the jet moving up and down.
-I did not use Nitrile o-rings when I rebuilt the pump. I used Viton o-rings.

The best way to find out what Bluewater has available is to send an email. Items available may or may not be listed on the website. Last I knew he was out of the adapters. Perhaps enough inquiries could lead to another production run?

Is it possible to use butane canister with a adoptor or converter to connect the line?

I think it is only possible due to the Primus fuel line/pump, since it includes the threads for the Butane canister.

I like it, but I've mostly been using the original burner plate lately.

Curious: Why are you using the primus pump and fuel line when the Optimus pump pretty much has the same features?
Edit: Ok, seems I didn't watch far enough into the video to get the answer before posting this.

I acquired one of theses stoves years ago - found it while out hiking. Someone is kicking themselves for leaving it behind at the campsite. I contacted Optimus, told them the story of how I found the older nova stove and needed a pump and would like to buy one from them as the pumps were not available by themselves in their US store. They sent me one (with a new fuel line - the old one didn't fit the new pumps) as a warranty repair at no cost to me.
Though you've got a pretty nice working set-up going now, if you want the Optimus pump, you might contact them and they may send one to you. Otherwise, if you're happy with what you have, carry on.
I found their customer service to be more than superior.

Hey, that's cool, no worries. When I got the Nova, I did not have the correct pump for the CEJN fitting fuel line that originally came on the Nova. I have since acquired a couple. I find it is nice to have other line/fuel options in case a pump or line fails, or if I decide to take the Nova and my OmniFuel out at the same time.
      Thanks for watching!
