@@elainemaldonado2932praying does nothing. If it did Maggie & Paul wouldn't be dead. His friend defended this murderer and liar is sickening. He ignored facts. Of course there are great liars this witness is hand in hand with the devil. To say Alex did everything ok is BS. Talking to someone does not equal his wife & son. I could tell...is more BS. Guy trips golfing no but with family instead hunting & etc. could be what he thought happened. Going to atty meetings etc. doesn't prove anything. The more he talks about his privileged activities the less I like him. To have this much money and activities is fine. To act like that makes them special couldn't be any more wrong. All these seemed to be so close yet no one noticed his drug problem, his ability to lie,his ability to pretend all things were perfect. Just disgusting. His daughter was lucky not to have died like Mallory Beach and the others injured. His testimony does nothing to support any relationship honesty. Anyone can pretend in front of others. Abusers do it all the time. The victims also put on a front for the world. The hatefulness & abuse occurs when no one is around. Often the controller rarely leaves his victims. Paul abused others often. He drank a lot. He was a mean drunk and didn't care about anyone but himself. Killing Mallory Beach and the others injured was preventable . When a mean drunk underage alcoholic attacks others it sure isn't what I would let my kids hang with. Buster killed his gay lover to try to hide it. He got away with it. Then Paul kills the housekeeper of 25 yrs. & got away with that. His passing on most likely prevented any other innocent ppl. dying due to him. BTW you can kill calmly when it is planned out. Him driving is no reason gives him no reason to be out of breath. This session needed more objections from DA was needed.
My question is how do many people allowed Alex murdaugh to fool them for decades. You know a lot of rumors circulating constantly about crap he did. And they just ignored it. For decades. His character surely showed when Alex was not alert to ACT SO INNOCENT. I know I recognized a long time friend eventually when she didn’t know she just told me she didn’t pay a fozr hundred dollar bill she owed. A freezer full of prime meat. And never paid a dime. What is the evidence that he had a drug problem? It’s weird that it has never come up about how he obtained this massive amount of opioids. Not one witness has even mentioned addiction. If he was using as much as he claims, there is no way that no one noticed. At least in retrospect.
Many of the 404, 403 "bad acts" objections Def raises pertain to details surrounding Rehab specifically: which then is odd that Defense brings it up here, which doesn't damage witness testimony ,, but does expose another possible mistruth issued by AM, their own client. In attempting non-addiction argument, Defense damages portrayals of AM'S 'honest' character in order to assert how family oriented he is. I think Def opened the door to rehab discussion. (I haven't heard about AM Gambling prob in trial , but read in comments )
If if he had an opiod problem ...where did the 3 mill go from the shatterfields? or even this with the driveshaft deal ..........either hiding it offshore or gambling ?....only gave 5 bucks for moselle

I think I can speak for most people who watch this particular testimony, that we’d all be super grateful and appreciative if we had a good friend or best friend like Chris. What a standup guy who had his friends back till he couldn’t have his back. Man good dude right here!
Man you hit the bulls eye with that comment. I can’t imagine sitting in that jail cell every night thinking about everything I lost. Especially the relationships like this one.
Chris Wilson, what a decent man, friend, businessman, and family man. Friends like him are hard to find. I hope this whole mess has not and will not negatively affect him, his family, or his business. God bless Chris and his family.
Ahem ... Chris Wilson supported very fishy activities he stopped short of things that could be proven to be criminal intent. He VERY likely instructed his secretary to stonewall after she unintenionally had blurted out inciminating information * (on the phone with the paralegal of AM's team). Settlement money (belonging to a client) was supposedly deposited at Forge Consulting (Wilson's company), but the paralegal and the CFO had started doubting if it was even there. That client's money should not have been transfered to Forge Consulting in the first place, the services they usually rendered were not needed or even legal in that case. CFO asked AM several times for paperwork, never got it, but eventually she got a mail by Chris Wilson in which he confirmed that the money that belonged to this client was there, on an account. Chris Wilsson did not say WHEN that money had been deposited (we can assume the missing money was paid in in a hurry, and that AM had confided in Chris Wilson that he had "redirected" the payment to his private account. If Wilson would not help him he would be fired, lose the licence and be tried in court). But Chris Wilson did not LIE in this case or make any claims that were not true (like: the money has been deposited months ago). so he was smart enough not to set himself up for a trial and losing his job and licence. * AM's paralegal already had picked up the scent, another case: she asked the secretary of Wilson on several occasions if certain cheque had really already been sent (while AM insisted it had not yet arrived). This was a cheque for shared revenue because Wilson from Forge Consulting and AM from the lawfirm had worked on it. Wilson was responsible for distributing the money coming in from the insurance company, he should have issued a cheque (to the lawfirm !) and mailed it. Then the secretary of Chris Wilson read out loud that the cheque had been issued at a certain date and it had been issued to Richard Alexander Murdaugh (not the lawfirm). And that she knew for sure that AM had received the cheque in person. AM's team knew how sloppy he was, they first suspected he may have lost it. Chris Wilson had won a case with a settlement, AM had also worked on it and Wilson had to distribute the money correctly and had to send the lawfirm of AM their share (a lot of that but not all would go towards AM's December bonus. But overhead, costs for the case would be deducted, and 7 % went into a pool and were redistributed evenly to all partners. Smoothing out extremes. Lawyers that had a bad year or cases that dragged on got a little more, lawyers with very good results got a little less. Helped also to smooth out income taxes a bit.) Chris Wilson / his team had issued the cheque (revenue for the shared project) but to AM personally. - Not to the lawfirm. Which was like it was ALWAYS done. That was unprofessional and highly unusual, contradicting normal procedures. The secretary of Chris Wilson read that out on the phone to the paralegal that questioned again the whereabouts of the cheque (Wilsons company Forge said they had handed it over, AM insisted it had never come by mail, nor had he gotten it, and accounting had not gotten it either). So the paralagel was sent in circles so to speak, lots of phone calls to track down the damn cheque. She said the Wilson's secretary read out loud the name - then heard herself saying it, realized what she just had read - and shut up. The paralegal could not believe what she had heard and said: Excuse me, what did you say ? But she would not repeat it. In other words, the secretary had been instructed by Chris Wilson, she knew (or suspected) that something was not right. And she no doubt went back and asked for more instructions. But that blunder was enough, the paralegal was completely shocked, she went to the CFO who had the higher position and more leverage. CFO confronted AM, asked for paperwork, asked Chris Wilson for paperwork - and from then on Chris Wilson and secretary went silent. They protected Alex Murdaugh to the best of their ability. Another trick AM used AM had instructed her and her collegue that certain cheques that were paid out were not to be issued to "Forge Consulting" (the legit company, Chris Wilson works for them and was the contact when the lawfirm needed their services). The case I mentioned before was different: There Forge Consulting had to pay out money TO the lawfirm. Most of the time it was the other way round: The lawfirm used Forge Consulting's services and THEY got a cheque. Or AM imitated a payment TO Forge. It is unclear if Chris Wilson knew of that - I think not, he would not have risked that. AM made up costs (services never rendered not needed) and than directed the payments to "Forge" (the fake company) to his private account. AM instructed his team that they had to issue cheques to "Forge" (which we now know was a private account AM had set up that mimicked the legit Forge Consulting company name, so that it would fly in the lawfirm. Many times accounting issued the cheque to Forge Consulting and AM's team members had to go and demand a new cheque issued to "Forge". They had asked AM before because of the difference (that confused them) but AM told them that Forge was a subsidiary of Forge Consulting. AM allegedly delivered those cheques in person (he claimed he would meet Chris, but in reality he cashed them in and had his account Forge Richard Alex Murdaugh credited. He had that account at a small bank and the manager was also a close buddy. Of course the cheques for fake Forge could not be sent to real Forge Consulting. First they would have noted that they had done nothing to deserve them, they could not associate them with a case. The paralegals had not reason to cheat, they likely would have secondguessed it and would have pointed out the obvious mistake to their business partner. Second: even If the had cashed them in - let's say they were inattentive - AM pulled it all off so that HE could get his hands on the money. And there was a high risk someone would pick up the phone and ask: What is it with the cheque - and why is our company name not correctly written ?

It was not a little, this was thousands of dollars. Very disappointing, we've been friends since the 7th grade, we are now in our early 50's.
Stealing from injured people, who can no longer work for their living, is much more reprehensible than stealing from rich people (which is also wrong). But it is so much easier to get away with theft if you avoid stealing from rich people.
Nor was murdoch detoxed in jail. He was watching sports and gambling, not dope sick. You can't even get opioids, it's all fentnyl. No way he could function, in court as a successful lawyer, active in his community, manipulating money with high level of financial calculations etc, full of fentnyl... Which is often laced or kill shots are mixed in, plus the level of money missing would be enough drugs for half the county or state. No way. It isn't hard to believe. It's IMPOSSIBLE to be believe. We must be intentional in our word usage. Yes. Feel sorry for the family who loss their relatives....but about the money.. Since Chris was Alex's so called best friend you better believe they he knew what he was doing. Stealing funds with the hope that the firm would allow him to put that money back later because of his status. These kinds of guys only worry about making money, keeping money and taking money undetected.. even if its an extra 2.00 of your money. Yes I believe that Alex killed his wife and kid... but not with his own hands
@Lea Taylor My belief is that he hired people to kill them but unfortunately he was there when it all happened. Yes,they had people who opposed them..like the family of the dead housekeeper that he owed money to and took them for a lawyers ride, the family of the dead girl that paul inadvertently killed who were waiting for damages and what about the lawyers who were fearful that they would not get their cut from the Mac Truck decision? All about money. This hit was also about money.
Betrayal is gut-wrenching. Especially when it's committed by someone you trusted and loved. It took a lot of bravery for him to get on that stand. Betrayal is an emotion that takes a long time to move past and heal. I wish Mr. Chris and his family all the best ❤
@: oneluckygirlandher: And her what?? I am agog to know what the next word is; but back to Alex and pain: If it was me I’d feel the same rage that caused him to kill Paul and Maggie and be glad about it. He is truly less than zero. I hope he is treated as Ned Beatty was in Deliverance. Maybe that’s why he’s so desperate to have money deposited in other convicts’ accounts…protection money.
Alex’s addiction was his final scam. He is not a trashbag that stole millions, he is a wonderful man that was a victim of addiction. What a joke. Oxy’s had no role in his theft and he didn’t take 1/20th of what he claims. He doesn’t even seem to know much about them.
Even the most serious drug addiction could not explain how this man blew through so much money. Even if he spent $1000 a day on pills- 300k per year. Seems like that is the type of money this man made in one case or a month. Unbelievable how much these personal injury lawyers make.
Hookers and Drugs cost money. It also costs money to keep your "secrets". Who pays someone to live rent free in a house $1500.00 a week? That's $6000.00 a month to live in a house and the only thing the housekeeper and her husband did was live there and mow tbe big ass lawn. Something doesn't sound right.
Don't forget, his boys were known for throwing lots of parties with drugs and alcohol for Underage kids. If Alex was buying for his boys, and his boys were selling... that could explain such a large amount of drugs. It could ALSO explain what could cause him to kill them. If his wife found out...
@First Last That is true. However the jury may convict on circumstantial evidence giving him the ability to appeal. I believe that he hired people to do it but unfortunately was there at the time...and this is why he talks about his family life while sulking so much. The killer Chris Watts constantly talked to the police about his 2 little girls when he knew full well that he had intentionally murdered them, threw one in a tank and buried another.
It’s easy. Happens all the time. You would be shocked how many people struggle with addictions. Thing is, it’s not a struggle until the addict wants to quit. Until then, it’s just a coping skill.
Never mind that there are some super brainy ppl who are employed by the law firm. We've heard these ppl and others not affiliated with the AM Firm on the witness stand. In a little town where everybody there grew up together, families know each other, " prominent" or not, it's not rocket science to know when a person has serious substance abuse/ addiction problems. Let's face facts: AM had his mental faculties in tact to have pulled off the years of horrific schemes he initiated and implemented successfully until the house of cards collapsed due to many ppl unraveling the financial scheme. And, his drug supplying " dear friend" he calls himself hired to kill him? Flimsy evidence from AM when he calls 911 asking for help not sure where he was shot. A white fella, short, much younger than me." Now, that's a great description with no mentioning of shooter's vehicle. And " I'm OK, but bleeding a lot," doesn't know church name on a 2 lane road he no doubt traveled a zillion times. My hunch is lots of gambling debts, murderer for hire appeals.
And, telling 911 dispatcher his wife and kid had been shot and how he had to get back over to the kennel where they were...why not remain at the kennel to make the call? Interesting AM never mentions he's done cpr, only says "I touched them to see if there were pulses." And " gotta get off the phone to call family." Odd how dispatcher never asked if cpr had been, was being done. I feel awful for Chris. I cannot fathom how betrayed he was feel in every way. We should all be so blessed to have a friend like Chris. He trusted his long time friend. I can understand why he said " I'm so mad." His testimony was fantastic. He did a marvelous job handling the Defense attys. He wasn't about to allow the Defense to get any nonsense by him. Loved his statement to the effect "...A 5 year old could understand" as one of his responses to the Defense. Bless you, Chris, your family too. I'm cannot fathom the rightful emotions and toll the AM horrors have taken on you, your family. Shame, shame on Buster for his atrocious sign language of "the bird" to you. Sadly, Buster knows you and others are spot on.
How sad to know that the people you're closest with have lied and stolen from you. The defense lawyers have just proven that Alex is a great liar. 🤦🏼♀️
Sincerely hope that the highly competitive legal profession locally puts rivalries aside and constructively and consistently support Chris Wilson. He has suffered the betrayal of a lifelong friendship and business colleague as well as serious financial loss through no fault of his own. He needs to know that he is still respected and liked.
And I truly believe Chris is a fine, good man and no doubt great atty.! I adored how he never backed down and put the defense to shame. I believe Chris will be fine as far as his reputation, his practice, but I cannot fathom the lifelong shattering effects he will never rid trusting his "best friend." Entities AM has long been scholarly in are his total lack of integrity, conscience, and manipulative prowess. Look at the dozens of ppl we've seen as witnesses. Not a slacker in the bunch and he betrayed every single one. If anything, I hope the ppl of SC and the 5 Counties where AM committed crimes will see Chris did everything to make things right, believing dispersements were being held in the AM Firm account. It's a bump in the road, rural town and now the whole world knows the character of the once prominent AM Murdaugh. A liar will steal and a thief will lie. Can't be trusted. He's done for in every way til the day he dies and must be screwed into the ground due to his crooked, evil, heinous doings. May justice prevail and he only be able to look at bars and razor wiring the rest of his miserable existence. I cannot imagine having a true, rare friend like Chris. Chris gave AM nearly 200, 000 of personal funds based upon trust, believing AM. So what if Chris had these funds to give? He didn't have to give AM a penny. He did so in the name of trust and what he believed he had in a life long "friend." From the financial doings alone, AM makes Bernie Maddoff the Altar Boy by comparison.
This defense attorney needs to just SHUT TFU. This witness is so absolutely, credible and honest and engaging. He is just doing harm to his clients case by messing with this wonderful man.

It must feel like the death of that person or at least a death of the person you thought you knew. Mr. Wilson gives Alex the stink eye a few times, yet doesn't look like he wants to punch him out. Looks more like he wants a truthful answer. Saddest part is Mr. Wilsons' business will probably suffer via guilt by association. No one wants to need a lawyer. The Defense attorney literally had NOTHING he could confront this witness (Chris Wilson) with after the prosecutor DESTROYED Alex’s reputation, bringing out his opioids addiction & THEFT! So, he gets up there & makes the witness (Wilson) go over & over & over how GREAT Alex was as a husband & dad & attorney & friend & whatever whatever! 🤮 I mean … let’s just go ahead and give Alex an AWARD & close the case!!!🤨😡🤮🤮🤮 P.S. This is the SAME a-hole defense attorney that was RUDE & HATEFUL to Shelly the caregiver to MissLibby. Trying to make her look like a lying idiot, who didn’t know the difference between a tarp & a raincoat! Or claimed she lied about the “time” that Alex was REALLY there at Miss Libby’s house the night of the murder! . Trying to MAKE her say she really said 30-40 minutes, when she clearly said it was only 20 minutes! Period! She said that “Alex TOLD her to say 30-40! But, she refused to say that! They treated her rudely, and we ALL know WHY! She’s poor & black! Works two jobs, round the clock, to live!😡 How DARE Alex sit there & STARE her down with his icy-cold eyes! It was disgusting watching how this defense attorney … who was so polite & nice to Alex’s “best” friend! But, rude as H… to Shelly!😏 Sickening!🤮🤮🤮🤨🤨🤨

I couldn't imagine knowing my best friend for years but then finding out I really didn't know her, the betrayal I would feel not to mention the heartbreak
It's devastating indeed, but one has to go on with life. Much can be learned from an experience like that, but the deep trust in people would never again be the same.
They’d been friends since at least college as well. That’s many years of deceit wrapped around a horror story. I pray this man and every decent, loving, kind and genuinely good, southern , gentle , loved one and friend that AM has hurt and betrayed finds a way to get back on the path of living their own best lives. As unscathed as possible. 🙏🏼. The same for those in the Murdaugh family that weren’t part of this that are willing to hold Alex to account. Because AM must be stopped now. RIP Maggie, Paul, Mallory, Gloria, Stephen and others …..what tradgedy…..smh
He is in trouble now sending the money to Alex in the first place covering up Alex crime with his own money this is the same thing Michael Cohen went to jail for paying for somebody else's crimes
How this man could killed his own family, is a monster with no remorse.and all because of the money. And Chris Wilson, what a descent, genuine and honest person. And it’s very rare to find a good friend like Chris Wilson. I felt heartbroken seeing him so emotional as he was so close to all the Murdaugh family. Chris you’re a good man God bless you and your family. My prayers goes to Maggie’s family that God comfort their hearts.💔💔💔💔
Did they find anyone who sold him drugs or prescribed him oxy? I haven’t heard a word about that. From what he says about the amount he was taking is seems like every dealer in the state was selling to him
That defense attorney only proved that Alex was in complete control of himself even under the influence of opioids. As well as showing what a tight family unit Alex and his family were. Proving how evil he must have been to kill them. Good job sir!
I'm so sorry for this man who trusted his best friend. He seems very loyal, humble and kind. Nasty that Alex did to him as well. What a heathen Alex is.
Alex didn't steal all that to pop pills. He would've OD on the amount that would've bought. Or he would've been doped out and drooling all around town and he would've knocked off in his car and crashed multiple times.
@@jenzen9041 If he 8sna riskntaker which he was, then it's highly likely. But I think he could've gone that route and he could've got the sympathy, less culpable card taken into a count and rhe reason I thinknhe didn't take that route, was because casinos have cameras and he can't prove he was there. michellebaca1024 These words that you have said are so true That's exactly what my mother used to tell me Tell me who you're with And I'll tell you who you are
And just like that, the whole "she had no life insurance on her" bull is proven irrelevant! He now had access to her trust, or estate and that huge property could be sold as fast as possible without suspension!
He had just signed that property over to her for 5$ not long before she was murdered. Murdering her would give him the property back, precisely what he didn’t want since Mallory Beach’s family was on a mission to take everything from him. The motive still isn’t clear. The only thing I can think of is he knew he couldn’t murder Paul without Maggie knowing it was him and turning on him. Maybe he had brought up getting rid of Paul to avoid the lawsuit and she was appalled. I did hear she had visited a divorce attorney a few weeks earlier. I think it would have been impossible for him to convince Maggie that Paul died by a “hired asassin”, “revenge killer”, “random intruder” or whoever they’re claiming it was. Maybe he knew she would go to the police and turn on him if he murdered Paul and not her also.
My heart goes out to this witness he not only lost his best friend his wife lost her best friend and his children lost their best friends to be able to speak kindly of Alec at this point after everything Alec did to him including jeopardizing his career I found him to be a great witness so honest so heartbroken and like his own family betrayed by a person he thought was his best friend
This man, bless him! I’d like to think I could be as forgiving and be able to show a friend who had done me this way as much grace as he has Alex. This situation is just heartbreaking.
Please! He lied and sent the letter saying the money was in his trust account the entire time. He covered for Alec and it cost him $192,000. Chris Wilson isn’t innocent. Crocodile tears!!
His addiction wasn’t as long as he claims. It wasn’t a 20 year addiction. He wouldn’t have made it 20 years without anyone knowing or finding out. No way. He tried to Alex tried to over exaggerate the situation.
I agree. Alex is a pathological liar, so I wouldn't believe anything he says. It's all designed for sympathy, which is now clear thats why he murdered his family. I originally thought it was probably because he didn't want his family to know he was stealing money but now I think he did it only so he could get out from under the boat case (if that was even possible) and shut down the questions into stealing (which it did) for awhile until he either got sloppy (with the canceled check) or sabotaged himself knowing Annette would find it and the jig would be up and he could blame drugs, get more sympathy & go hide in rehab.
Chris Wilson & Alex Tinsley appear to be extremely honest forthright men. I believe you could place your complete trust in either. They were both screwed over.
This guy's a stand up guy even when no one is watching and he has every right to only worry about himself. His actions speak volumes. So if he was spending $50,000 a week on drugs for only himself, he would have severe withdrawals while in prison in the beginning. Is there any record showing that??
You do not get special treatment in jail for withdrawals. You might get an imodium or 2 if your lucky😂😂 you are locked in a cell and get to see death ☠️ closely

Right after the trial he's on the senate floor giving a speech saying that the people who camped out for this trial "need to get a life" I thought that was uncalled for. How is he helping people with what he was elected to do if his life is wrapped up in the Murdaughs lives?
It's ironic the way the defense attorney brags on and on about what a great family man Alex was and what a great colleague and professional Alex was. He killed half of his family and he stole from his firm, colleagues and clients!

@@arlenesmith1708 Well Sis, you know I have to back you up, but for the triggered... We understand that ANY perceived 'good' family can not actually be all that, race notwithstanding.
Everyone is missing the motive. The lawyer on the boat case didn’t buy Alex story that he was broke and couldn’t afford the to pay compensation to the family that lost a daughter in the boat accident. The lawyer demanded financial records and told Alex that if he was broke he would file a lawsuit against his son Paul who drove the boat and his wife Maggie who was part owner of the boat. You can not sue dead people. Alex was hiding money and pretending to be broke but knew that would not get him out of the lawsuit because the lawyer would go for his wife and son meaning he would still loose everything. So he got rid of them
Yes, I had thought about this, but boy it's so cold, couldn't get my mind around it that his wife & kid were not worth more than money to him .... sick
But then I thought, wait a minute, his father was about to pass (and did 3 days later), presumably the holder of Murdaugh fortune (The patriarch)-Do we know what the father's will and testament said? Wouldn't his son inherit?
How about this .... ALL the good ol boy attorneys are out for themselves. The boat family attorney was NOT seeking justice for that family - he was seeking a 40% payday from whatever settlement he could get so he sued EVERYONE. The c-store, the bar, the owner of the boat. Mallory’s death was unfortunate but the truth is ALL the kids chose to get intoxicated and travel in that boat. Paul murdaugh did not force them to get in the boat. If one of the other boys was driving I can guarantee you the attorney wouldn’t be taking their family’s for “everything” he was doing it to the murdaughs because of MONEY. Not one of these attorneys care about who they hurt or whose hurt they use - it’s all about money
So Alex called him at 9:11 and then couldn’t speak again at 9:20 because he was SUDDENLY busy with his mom? BS. Alex just wanted to call and tell his friend that he was at his mom’s to set up an alibi
Plus the jail would be detoxing him on saboxone and he's on jail calls to his son with zero dope sick vibe, laughing, gambling and watching sports, you can't even get opioids. I can't get over how the state ( and judge) is buying this obvious truck load of crap!
IMO , He stated he has spent up to five hundred thousand dollars in a week. No way! Just how many did he get? No drug dealer could get their hands on this many pills unless from a pill press. Made on the streets with Phentonal added. He's taking twenty a day. Never over dosed or ran into one with too much phentonal. Naw! He has that money hid. Off shore? In his back yard? Bought gold over the years? I agree, they're backing off on the drug use for some reason. In society today, it's politically incorrect to down people on drugs. But you can lock up the poor for it! Check your prison system and why over half are there for drugs or crimes caused from using drugs. Plus there's more drugs in the prison than on the streets. Causing stabbings ,beatings, death,. and families being extorted for money. A Warden here in Ga. at one of the thirty seven prisons we have, has been jailed for this an about eighty other convictions. These prisons are compartmentalized, when an inmate gets hurt they do their own investigations. Alec knows all about the prison system, he knows he would never make it in one. Why he probably wanted his drug dealer to off him. And where is the dealer? Is he locked up, in prison now or what? Cause it's taken some years for this to come to court.
This killer did not deserve the family he had or the best friend he had. I hope the jury does not spend more than a half hour on deliberation. AM is as guilty as it gets.
The way they handled this crime scene is so bizarre...I guess it's the country thing b/c no one should've been in that house or on that property until it was processed and cleared...i mean it was a darn crime scene.🤦🏽♀️
That pause when about to talk about what happened to Maggie and Paul says it all. That's just a close friend, and he reacts instantly with emotion, even thinking about that portion of what he's about to say. Alex doesn't have that same trigger. Why.... because he did it.
So AM called his law partners immediately after the 911 call, but did not call his best friend of 30 years? My first call would have been to my best friend for emotional support....
I really like Chris Wilson. I think he is a genuine man. I hope he finds peace in the middle of all this.

What is the evidence that he had a drug problem? It’s weird that it has never come up about how he obtained this massive amount of opioids. Not one witness has even mentioned addiction. If he was using as much as he claims, there is no way that no one noticed. At least in retrospect.
And where are the drug transactions? Dealer? Physician? Etc.

Helped also to smooth out income taxes a bit.)
Chris Wilson / his team had issued the cheque (revenue for the shared project) but to AM personally.
Another trick AM used
AM had instructed her and her collegue that certain cheques that were paid out were not to be issued to "Forge Consulting" (the legit company, Chris Wilson works for them and was the contact when the lawfirm needed their services).

Over 70% of politicians are lawyers. Hello !
I don’t trust any of these people so far.
Like how does a company not realize millions of dollars being embezzled over 10yrs time and just happen to catch it around the same time as all this other stuff started to happen in A.M. life?
I don’t think A.M. is innocent in all of this but I don’t think everyone was clueless either.
And this guy on the stand has already said he is an attorney who primarily handles cases where he has invoke sympathy in jurors to win cases. So maybe we are seeing a really good attorney doing just that, but as a witness.

You can tell this man has a good decent soul. Breaks my heart for all of them.
Stealing from injured people, who can no longer work for their living, is much more reprehensible than stealing from rich people (which is also wrong).
But it is so much easier to get away with theft if you avoid stealing from rich people.

Where did all the money go? A prescription pill addiction doesn't cost that kind of cash. There's a lot missing from this picture.
No way. They'd need to have him detoxing and on a very high level of saboxone at the jail. Never overdosed... Nope. Not twenty years and not drugs. This money is hidden somewhere or something. What the heck are they hiding? His friend on the stand knows a ton more, he's clearly gaslighting the court and lying, very deceptive, filling in emotional crap where precise answers belong. Exactly! He would've tanked waaaay sooner. That's way too much money.
My point exactly. And he was huge before jail
It isn't hard to believe. It's IMPOSSIBLE to be believe. We must be intentional in our word usage. No human could withstand literally ingesting $50k/week of oxycontin excepting each pill cost about $3500 each supplying AM with an a.m. pill (pun intended) and a p.m. pill X 7 days...one week. I mean during this trial the great lawyer comes off as maybe he wouldve been a decent warehouse manager, but he couldn't be THAT stoopid to overpay to that extent...ijs. I'm not buying what he's selling. The AM himself TOLD US that he is a LIAR...Believe Him on that one truth and question everything else. Either way my basic education self understands that even a liar has nuances about himself.

I can’t imagine he could take 1,000 milligrams a day and not have any medical issues that would be back by a Dr.

" Drugs" were/aŕe the least of Alexes' problems! Alex ran to Florida for inpatient "rehab."

But I think he could've gone that route and he could've got the sympathy, less culpable card taken into a count and rhe reason I thinknhe didn't take that route, was because casinos have cameras and he can't prove he was there. But he could be just ashamed of a gambling habit. I tend to think he was living up a lifestyle he couldn't afford who knows though.
@@jenzen9041 Yea, blackmailed over the first murder of the housekeeper fling down the stairs or anything really.
Some people would kill to have what you had Alex.... and you killed it!
Well he did
This is really sad. My heart/prayers go to everyone affected by this tragedy. God Bless.
Who is taking care of the dogs? They know who did it. Listen to them barking. They lost their mama.
@@gailnystrom4694 Bianca Simpson has Bubba . The former housekeeper who testified at the trial .
Is this man telling the truth? My dad always told me, “ tell me who you’re with, and I’ll tell you who you are”.
I think this is a perfect life statement .Thank You.
Oh, that's really good!! Birds of a feather flock together!! True!
michellebaca1024 These words that you have said are so true That's exactly what my mother used to tell me Tell me who you're with And I'll tell you who you are
And just like that, the whole "she had no life insurance on her" bull is proven irrelevant!
Right.....
Plus, she had a trust he now has authority over. In all $10 million
No lawyer is worth being paid that kind of money. Teachers and healthcare providers are worth that kind of money. Ridiculous!!
No minor car crash is worth 5.5 million dollars
Personal injury attorney's do!
Absolutely, many other professions are worth more money than these so called Lawyers.
I love the whole aspect of lawyers taking the stand. Riveting. His face and voice says it all. He is heartbroken and I really feel for this good man
Please! He lied and sent the letter saying the money was in his trust account the entire time. He covered for Alec and it cost him $192,000. Chris Wilson isn’t innocent. Crocodile tears!!
I think one of the things that makes this case compelling is that almost all these people are lawyers. Alex's friends, family, and colleagues.
Hampton is where layers can make easy money.
Impossible for defense to get past wholesome, honest and good people.
Addictive personality.... probably had other addictions. Indeed, like gambling. Possibly another reason to be on his phone so much.
How do we KNOW he had an addiction for that length of time? John Marvin? I don’t buy it.
The basic addiction had to be gambling. That’s an underestimated problem. It underlies many continuing behaviors but multiplies deception.
Good God! This defence lawyer is useless. Has he actually made a point. What a waste of 33% to 40%
Who in the world was handling the books at this firm that he was able to steal over 9 million dollars and didn’t get caught until Sept ‘21?
Exactly!!
She was interviewed as well. Find it TH-cam. He set up a false company with a similar company name as the one they regularly paid large sums to.
Doesn’t make sense, unless others in that firm were in on it.
This man had the life people dream of... what a complete shame
Exactly 💯..I wish I had just one of them 100,000 checks smh 😢
Everyone would be blessed to have a man like Chris as a friend. What a shame to take advantage of his kindness.
Chris Wilson & Alex Tinsley appear to be extremely honest forthright men. I believe you could place your complete trust in either. They were both screwed over.
I need an astute lawyer if ever need be, not an aloof or naive lawyer. The witnesses are NOT on trial...I get that...ijs
Wow....really?
This guy's a stand up guy even when no one is watching and he has every right to only worry about himself. His actions speak volumes. I don't feel bad for him at all because I know the strongest people are those who love and care even though some people will try to prey on them for that. What a legend, I hope he finds better friends and lives well.
I agree with this so much.
Well said 👏
@@prostyler2 I 100PCT AGREE
Stop and think before you make this guy out to be a saint.
@@locadisa I think it's far more likely this guy was manipulated by him like everyone else. Look at everything he stood to lose vs gained. He's either a terrible con man or he got tricked like the family, firm, and everyone else. The amount of times the firm gave him the benefit of the doubt when there entire practice could be on the line is crazy. I think it's much more likely his best friend would be fooled.
So if he was spending $50,000 a week on drugs for only himself, he would have severe withdrawals while in prison in the beginning. Is there any record showing that??
He supposedly went to rehab for 30 days before prison arrest
Yes you would, they would be mild compared to the first 30 days. There is no way he was spending that much and never over dosed.
You do not get special treatment in jail for withdrawals. You might get an imodium or 2 if your lucky😂😂 you are locked in a cell and get to see death ☠️ closely
AM is a psychopathic liar!!
Prob gambling addiction as well. I heard a jail convo of Alec & buster and Alec was bragging abt winning gambling
The defense attorney gained nothing from his cross of Wilson. The attorney came off as inept.
The defense attorney might as well have asked Wilson what he thought of AM acting ability. Wasn't his acting great? That's what his cross accomplished.
@@Eyewonder3210 I guess the defense attorneys would rather look ignorant, mean, bullies, liars to protect and save Alec, rather than show integrity, good morals, ethical conduct!! And hooter is a state senator for Democrats for South Carolina!! I couldn't stand him from the word go!! Griffin was little better, but can't figure out how a good attorney would stop to lying, bullying, being stupid for a murder, big time thief, liar crook, cold hearted!!
@@vernareed2692 Verna? How nice! I've only known one person with that name, a very dear sweet Aunt. Back to the subject, I am puzzled about the senator. How can he take on PM case, and 6 weeks of AM case, and do his job as a paid elected SC Senator? Right after the trial he's on the senate floor giving a speech saying that the people who camped out for this trial "need to get a life" I thought that was uncalled for. How is he helping people with what he was elected to do if his life is wrapped up in the Murdaughs lives?
It's ironic the way the defense attorney brags on and on about what a great family man Alex was and what a great colleague and professional Alex was. He killed half of his family and he stole from his firm, colleagues and clients!
I would pay close attention to whom he also labels the same way. They may be guilty of crimes as well.
This is what we have heard all my life! These people and/or enablers feel if they keep saying, "he is a great family, friend, colleague" it makes it true! Also, by saying it, we are to forget the evil they have done!! I will say it again, that is why for all of my life I was never impressed with some white person standing on some soap box trying to talk AT OTHERS about good families AS THOUGH THEY ARE THE ONLY ONES WITH GOOD FAMILIES. We would laugh then and will continue to laugh at that erroneous mind set. BTW we tell ourselves and family, morality matters more then your money, career, toys, etc. As a teenager, I had several wonderful friends from families like this Murdaugh...those kids stated, they hated their prideful, lying, hypocritical parents😯. I use to say, "no you don't" and they would say, "yes I do"!! Be careful...the very people you think agree with you may not! This witness stand during this trial is a great picture to keep in mind! Look at the kind people hurt by this psycho!!
@@arlenesmith1708 Well Sis, you know I have to back you up, but for the triggered... We understand that ANY perceived 'good' family can not actually be all that, race notwithstanding.
its a shame that this good man (Chris) will probably never deal with people the same way again.
This is a great advertisement for this lawyer, hell, I’d hire him he’s so sweet and so honest. I’d hire him in a heartbeat.
Me too
I wouldn’t hire anyone from that law firm, or the new one they set up.
So he got rid of them
Wow wow wow sooo sad evil at it's finest 😢
Yes, I had thought about this, but boy it's so cold, couldn't get my mind around it that his wife & kid were not worth more than money to him .... sick
But then I thought, wait a minute, his father was about to pass (and did 3 days later), presumably the holder of Murdaugh fortune (The patriarch)-Do we know what the father's will and testament said? Wouldn't his son inherit?
I wondered if the properties were put in Maggie's name so they wouldn't be consudere#
Exactly
Mr. Wilson appears to be a genuinely decent and kind human being.
Alex had so many great friends. So many people would love to have a friend like this man. So genuine & raw. God bless him
Hopefully he does not take everybody down with him coz he has brought everybody's intergrity into question.
What a tangled web he weaved !
This guy is genuinely hurt, his best friend did him like that, did you see the pain in his face when asked if he ever did get his money back?
I can't imagine being able to answer these questions in the exact same words for a second time..
I will never believe he did drugs... Sell them oh yes... Use nope.
Legit!!!!😂😂😂😂
No signs of withdrawal. I don't believe the drug thing. Show the evidence. A he'll of a lot of $$$$$$$$$$$$$ is unaccounted for.
@@speaklifegardenhomesteadpe8783 100%. That they accepted that lie amongst a sea of lies, is astounding to me.
This killer did not deserve the family he had or the best friend he had. I hope the jury does not spend more than a half hour on deliberation. AM is as guilty as it gets.
The Jury spent 45 mins deliberating. You were pretty close my friend!
The night of the murders, right after he's killed them, Alex calls Chris. More than once.
The text where Alex says for Chris to call him if he’s still up. Clearly using him to establish his timeline.
