  • Hi everyone, as white marble is porous in nature, it can’t be used for kitchen platforms/ countertops. Because the marble gets easily stained in case you spill turmeric / spices/ coffee. And these stains are almost impossible to get rid off.
But there is an alternative to this which is Quartz & G5/ nano white for white countertops or in place of kitchen white backsplash tile. These are engineered / manufactured stones. Please see the complete video to know about the manufacturing companies, slab size, thickness , variety available, pricing and care to be taken.

    Thank you !

Could you please let the viewers know why not to use artificial marble on kitchen counter.
You have brilliantly explained the pros and cons of g5 and quartz but artificial marble was left out without proper reasoning.
Hope you will clarify this in the future videos.

Do not use this material..There are no stains but It's very brittle like glass and breaks very easily .. I have installed it and within 6 months it started breaking, cracking at many places.. My Entire stone and labour cost went waste.. Do not use this stone.. This is only suitable at decorative places ..not at all suitable for kitchen

    • @stonetech7085

Remember that both are just resistant not heat proof. So, it might break at very high temperatures which is available in some video on youtube, you can search. But for normal kitchen usage, both are equivalently fine.

What about turmeric stain on quartz countertop ?

    • @stonetech7085
      @stonetech7085 2 ปีที่แล้ว

As such it is stain proof as its non porous. But bevare that a tadka can damage the polymer on the surface. And when it gets colorised, you can remove the stain using diluted bleach. The best part is even that color is just over the top and doesnt seep through within the slab. Quartz slabs can be repolished anytime.

Hi Mam, thanks for uploading such a informative video. Can you guide me out of my confusion, I had renovated my kitchen few years ago wherein I had opted for Beige colour Italian marble(25-28 mm thickness probably) as kitchen countertop without doing R&D focussing primarily on aesthetics/colour combinations etc. obviously It failed miserably but you would be surprised to know the marble was fairly heat tolerant even with rough use and failed near the sink part where the cutout portion was fragile. Now that I am repairing/renovating I have managed to salvage most of the old countertop. Please suggest an alternative option which is heat tolerant/fairly break resisant but having similar colour(Was zoning in on quartz but not convinced after seeing some other videos). Will be greatful if you reply soon🙏🏼.

    Hi Niahara,
Thanks a lot for the info it helped a lot.
I am getting my house renovated and was thinking for white slab.
Just one query one of my relatives had used a qaurtz stone around 1-1.5 years back and they say that it's very hard to clean. Stains remains on it and it's very difficult and takes a lot of effort to clean especially pomegranate juice spills. Is this quite normal or it might be just one outlier
    Thanks

Very Informative video ma’am ! We are constructing a house and Have a question though: how durable is G5 in kitchen. Is it heat resistant? Does the shine/gloss on G5 fade away with time?

Hello. Thanks for your informative video. I have a u shaped kitchen where I have used G7 as countertop as well as back splash. My question is what is to be used on the 4th wall remaining? The upper shutters are white coloured and lower ones are cappuccino coloured. The flooring is of Victoria biege 2x4 feet tiles from Johnson and Johnson. Kindly suggest whether I should put wall tile on the fourth wall or keep it vacant and just paint it. If tile then how to decide it's colour. Fridge will come on this wall. Thanks

Hi Nihara, please confirm which adhesive we should use to join quartz or G5 seamlessly? We have tried joining it with araldite but the yellowish color of Alaldite is visible.
