A lot more useful than a friend's mobility scooter which is shaped like a Harley trike. He is limited to good weather to go out. This model would be ideal rain or shine
Definitely very cool have found a dealer here in Canada. My question is hope it can handle quick ride in Canadian winter. On a cleared sidewalk. Which honestly vthinkbit can. I like the fact that it has a heater. Gonna get me one.!!. Hi. An elderly friend asked me if I could help with adjusting the mirrors on her rainrider. One side was fine, the other side must have had a knock or someone has put a lot of force on it. The female threaded part in the body of the rainrider spins. Any ideas, will I have to drill it out and replace it or use some sort of glue to stop it from spinning. Thanks
Hi Peter, while it is hard to say without seeing it, the techs here have 2 suggestions for you. First is to indeed try gluing it in place. The other is to try screwing in from the side with a grub screw to try and hold it in place. Good luck with your repairs!
Technically you are supposed to have a disability or mobility issue to use a mobility scooter. It is often easier and quicker to travel the streets rather than trying to find car parking. They maybe able to be tweaked only a couple of km quicker but then you are an unregistered motor vehicle if stopped by police. We don't recommend this.
@@olivebaker4340 Hi Olive, my best advice is to contact your closest mobility scooter provider and ask if they stock Shoprider scooters. Then they will be able to asnwer your other questions around pricing and delivery area. Hope that helps.
Yes unfortunately it is law in Australia that mobility scooters can not go faster than 10km/hr, although the disabled people who ride them generally can't walk fast so it would be faster than walking for them

And needless to say just like most things in this country it is way overpriced! Australia is sadly lagging far behind the rest of the world when it comes to providing for the needs of its people!!!!

It looks nice but like everything else in Australia the price is way above the common sense mark! Oh for the days when this country knew how not to be greedy!!!!
