    Fear is just a friend that will never go away
    We just have to learn how to live with it and build a collaborative relationship.
    Knowing one thing if fear is not available nothing is there to challenge me to do more than i thought i could.
    Thank you VT we eat and grow from your wisdom 🙏

    I appreciate the fact that you don’t discourage anyone from following their passion. However you give hard facts that the journey is not an easy one. I find that some of the entrepreneurs who have already gone through the hardships tend to discourage those that want to start their journey, by saying e.g don’t quit your job, make sure you have a financial cushion, make sure your “side” business can sustain you etc. Granted, that may be true but those things tend to scare people from beginning their entrepreneurial journeys.

      True, but the fear is what one needs to master their courage. It's always important to look at both sides of the coin. While others have had it easier than others, others have had it harder. For beginners having both perspectives is important so that the right measure of courage, focus and expectation is endorsed.

    I must say, I appreciate these masterclasses . It is always interesting to hear what other people are thinking and going through. As an entrepreneur myself, I am constantly wondering if the fear will ever go away, it doesn't help that my family and church believe I should follow a certain path, I was told that I would amount to nothing by my grandmother, mother and a prophet from church. I know and believe that people who have chosen entrepreneurship in essence face similar challenges and I am happy to be part of such a community. Besides I actually wanna see how this one will end. ALUTA CONTINUA!!!

    Totally agree about the value of a business being yours to decide. Although it might take a while for you to figure out the exact client that would align with it, plus you also have to be reasonable, still, the ball is in your court.

    Hi Vusi, Hopefully you will see this and respond. As an entrepreneur, how does one determine how much to pay themselves and at what point of the business does one get to start paying themselves given that when one starts a business the first part is to break-even.

    Vusi I'm about to start a laundry business in Cape Town, not sure which is wiser... starting from scratch or engage on a franchise business? Please advise🙏

    • @AskMeStartUp
      @AskMeStartUp 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      the answer depends on your personal preferences. Will you like to get a full function franchise business model but then have to pay hefty fees or are you happy to establish your own brand and find underserved spots. How strong are laundry brands in your country? in mine they are irrelevant.

    Question how do you build something knowing that this would actually benefit the communities economy and release so much pressure on the municipality and its unemployed youth. But knowing that the municipality would actually shut the idea down. How do get them to agree to the idea because this project is big n will need alot of capital n a big investor???

    • @jhmn9000
      @jhmn9000 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In my OP, I strongly suggest that you persist in selling your idea to whom it concerns, inspite of a million rejection, eventually some will carter to your ideas. Persistence and pecience are the most important skill in enterprenuership. Otherwise start small or rather a small business but to get you the capital you want, and when you have managed to accumulate the capital needed, you can venture into your main business idea. Here focus is important. Am personally engaged in a business that I want to gain capital and put my name there on the market, once I have the capital, I will stream my business. I was running a company which made me lose money, and here am still persisting in my entrepreneurship. Hope I have being of help Wendy. Cheers

    • @wendyanderson8557
      @wendyanderson8557 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks that was helpful. Just one more question. Is it true that when you want to start your own business you always need to have your own capital????

    • @jhmn9000
      @jhmn9000 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's wise to have your own capital, but you can also borrow from relatives, freinds, banks but make sure to pay them. Some business, like service providing normally don't need capital, because your clients pay you upfront for your services. If I may, what business are you in and where are you based?

    The white men books of laws in Ramaphosa house don't profit South Africa aka Africa, Ramaphosa need to start writing laws in your own black image.
    Don't you think that will uplifting your black world?
    If you the first born don't make yourself last, just to soften the second born white Master anger.
    Anger it's just like boiling milk, anything that want to surpass unjustly will surely go down.
    Just a matter of time, change your laws to profit your people.
