Yeah the drop rate is really bad. So much so I've switched to the fire, earth, wind and water shard method lol.
I think you have a better chance of them showing up the faster you clear out the room. Try a team with a lot of AoE and can hit from a distance. Rackam and the other guy with a gun (sorry I don’t use him, he’s cool but I like swords so just playing Rackam is pushing it for me in my attention keeping) they can hit a lot of slimes and dispatch them pretty quickly with the right builds. Ferry can also do pretty good at taking out many of them at once, and with cagliostro’s buff that boosts attack, defense, and critical rate, you’ll be killing more than 100 in no time
I’ve had 1 show up in ~100 runs and it was 3ish seconds left, so naturally I didn’t kill it
I heard a rumour if you run on assist mode (which is cancelled on hard difficulty) the rainbow pot has a higher chance of appearing now this is baseless and just a rumour I heard
@@ashiy8310 assist mode works until maniac as in last mode it works is in extreme, not hard
How far throughout the game do I need to get for the quest giver to spawn so I can repeat his fireshard quest thing?

There are some mistakes in this video. First is it's not X to repeat the quest. It's Square. And you didn't say to put it on the fully automated setting. Then it does matter what difficulty you said it doesn't. You can't afk farm on maniac and proud because the game disables auto on those.
Other than that, great farming spots :)
