try pulling the kip rod out . If not there be too much carbon inside the kip rod. you need to clean it, it is caused by the movement of the rod. Another reason is that when the oring on the kips gear hardens over time and in the heat, it hardens and you need to replace it. Dont use any gasket maker or any type of liquid gasket on the head cylinder, because when you tighten the head cylinder, the gasket liquid may flow into the gear hole, causing the movement of the rod to be tight.
