I was stuck in a similar situation where the Highway (somewhere after Manali, but before Kullu) was blocked due to landslide so we went from Naggar side (on the opposite side after Beas River) and then bypassing the landslide by coming back to the highway through a Hanging bridge on the river... It was scary for me...
It makes you so mentally exhausted especially when the mountain roads are not ending and you desperately want to see the highway...
