Hello my little ugly gremlins. Turns out Project Zomboid is a lot harder than it looks... but im somewhat addicted to it now. If you'd want to see more Zomboid or any other game like Kenshi, let me know! As always have a great week fellas, stay safe and drink water!
CDDA is great. Sure, it's hard blind, but once you get the mechanics down it's easy to survive a few months! In game. Until a zombie bone hulk sends you flying through a wall.
A few tips: 1. Fences are your friends, as when a zombie lunges over them they are on the ground. If you can dodge the lunge, you can get behind them and stomp on their heads, killing them rather quick. 2. Fire is ambivalent, as a molotov or a campfire can clear entire hordes with some time. It also burns whatever they had on them and sometimes the entire neighborhood. Parking lots are the best for this as concrete doesn't burn. 3. Doors and stairs are not your friends. 3a. Vanilla Zomboid, to avoid the fps from chugging, will only spawn zombies when an interior is observed. This leads to Zombie closets as a veritable clowncar of zombies pour out of a small spaces. Door flashing (opening/closing a door quick) is the best solution for this. 3b. you can't see zombies at the top of stairs. A sprinter in this location has been the death of many characters. Yelling is preferable.
This game always holds a great place in my heart. I remember it being around 13 or so years ago now. Back before this game was on steam, it was on another distribution platform in early access. The platform was janky, small, and full of free games, demos, alphas - think it started with a P? But you could message developers directly on it for feedback and comments. And I messaged the developers of Project Zomboid there, telling them how amazed and impressed I was at their ability to set a tone and story tell in their opening tutorial prologue. They reached back and thanked me for my words and said it meant a lot to them. Glad over a decade later Project Zomboid knocked it out of the park.

Damn I loved watching him go through the stages of Zomboid. Amazement/entertainment, soon to be followed by frustration, then consumed by fear. Only for the fear to descend into madness. One day, the madness becomes will to live and thrive. Sir Loin will always live on, as he is a mentality more than a survivor.
First rule of project zomboid: everything can and will kill you, including but not limited to; dirty water puddles, your own driving, screaming, honking in a car, eating uncooked or rotten food, glass in your dong, glass in your ass, glas in your feet, glass everywhere, fire, a helicopter, a jammed gun, stumbling, getting scratched by a tree and last but not least zombies.

29:00 in all of my experience in PZ I've never seen anyone trying to get a car that is utterly fucking destroyed, let alone driving it. I laughed way harder than I should have ngl
Project zomboid is easily one of my favourite games. What it lacks in graphics it makes up for in depth. I'm glad you decided to make this video. More people need to try it out.
Hearing the Bug's Life game main menu theme around 28 minutes in was a blast from the past and something I didn't expect Jabo to use for one of his videos. That was awesome
PZ is one of my favorite games, and is the primary game I watch full streams for. I came across your channel looking for PZ content that actually plays the game for survival, not for guns guns guns guns. I have really enjoyed your PZ streams, and love your presentation of the game to your existing viewers. It absolutely is a game that rewards cowardice and thinking with your head first, and I am so excited to see what you make of it when you get a tighter grip on things, and figure out what mods make the game feel balanced for you.
One thing that’s consistent with this game is broken bones from combat, biting off more than you can chew, dying because you couldn’t see in the forest, getting bitten and not realize you are already dead, and the dreaded helicopter
I really enjoy watching new players stream PZ or playing with new players. The game really is great, it turns a lot of people off with the isometric graphics and cumbersome UI but like you said, if you can get passed that, it's a very special game. And don't feel bad about dying, I've been playing PZ since '15, have just about 4k hours in it and my average survivor lives about 4-6 months. Also the way you die when your new vs when you've been playing a long time: New players: Die in a blaze of glory trying to kill half of Rosewood with a frying pan. Experienced players die 2 years in after a zombie sneaked up on them in the woods and lands a neck bite, while the survivor was eating a raw cabbage. That last part was a true story, RIP Darvia Corn.
The editing at the start killed me LMFAO. "IT PISSES HIM OFF" in sync with the music ☠️😆 I first came across this game's existence thanks to AA. (Ambiguous Amphibian).
Zomboid gets everyone at some point. After you get used to everything and start finding out what works best for you, it gets to a point you can survive for months and kill tens of thousands of zeds. Dont be too hard on yourself. It's just a hard game with the intent of showing that brutality of living in a hopeless scenario. Hope to see more of this sometime! I Love content from this game!
The Really CD DA start is a reference to the Really Bad Day start for Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead, which is one of the hardest starts S:DDA has. I loved that old Rogue-like that they referenced with this Zomboid difficulty.
