This block is literally the cornerstone of VA drumlines. Literally every band/percussion head had this video/tape recorded on another tape…which explains how this got on TH-cam lol ….Learned the whole snare solo and rewrote Left Right Left on Sibelius 😭😭😭 I was a Norfolk head frfr 😂 no one ever saw what Hampton played it’s goin on 20yrs 😭😭😭
@drumsforever101 I understand what you're saying.... but as I stated earlier... different strokes..... Different lines do things differently from the other. Some lines are overpowering when playing with the full band. MDFS has mastered the "felt, not heard" ideal.
@drumsforever101 Can you hear the clip? Do you hear multiple strikes because people are trying to outplay the person next to them, or does it sound like one drum?

@silkaem ehhhhh, i kinda understand. and i just remembered that more recent videos have them playing through the drum more
@drumsforever101 The aim is perfection not volume.
Different stroke.... no pun intended.

@silkaem it sounds butt clean. and yes, of course i can hear it when im that close, but can people on the other side of the field hear it well?
