Also the story will get you at times. The event stories will get you as well. Also dont worry about hating Suyen because everyone does.

Currently in chapter 12 and oh boy I love the story so far but it can be a little slow to get your troops powerful enough to progress to the next stage.
Game is actually quite enjoyable if you can get past the 160level wall which to be honest if you are patient and setup your wish list smart is not hard to do. I'm purely F2P, own majority of the roster and have broken the 160 wall.
Oh I always thought you were mainly a Honkai player =P. Anyways though the story is very good. And not just the main story line, but every girl has her own story as well which are good. The christmas story line was... holy hell good.
i've done the sfw challenge, where you can only use the sfw characters and turn off the physic. it's actually has a good story. but leveling and using a mostly 1* star characters is a pain and actually required a skill and strategies.
I'm playing this game for a month damn it didn't disappoint me the story is good it just their some players won't like the fan service which is understood I have nephew that asking me can I play this and I said no you need to be old at least 22 years old.
Id totally watch you play the story, ive seen a bit of your HI3rd and GI reaction before and i play all three games religiously ^^ NIKKE isnt on the same page as HI3rd storywise but it has its glory moments, its mostly short and sweet so its not a big engagement. Only thing that sucks for new players is that the story is heavily progression gated, so good luck getting far in one stream (you have to play for like 3-4months to clear chapter 20) ^^
Super Late comment, but as much as possible go with the Japanese dub, the english dub on this one aren't so good, they almost all sound the same or sound like a barbie character, without looking at the characters you can't distinguish their personalities, Admi in JP dub you can tell that she's really shy, while in EN she sounds like a grown up in her 30s, Privaty on other hand also has a really good voice acting in JP dub. There's also past variants of characters where this character appeara to be younger than the other one, but somehow in EN dub the younger looking Nikke sounded more mature than the one who's supposed to be grown up. Aside from bad casting for vpice actors, they just fail to capture the essence of the characters' personality Tbf Reverse 1999 is probably the only Gacha with good EN dub P.S The "Over Here" scene or part is one of the most impactful moments in the storyline and I don't like how it was delivered in the EN dub at all, it sounded so monochromatic almost emotionless, when it's absolutely emotional in JP, and it's supposed to be an emotional scene
