Great video Chi, it's so helpful for me, I'm 48 and just working things out now with regard to style - I am really starting to get a feel for what works and what doesn't through your videos 💃 💞
I love all your amazing tips! I'm 4'9" & totally agree with all your tips. I also have a pear shape body so pencil, mermaid, maxi dresses with a slit are great for my body type 💛👍 Also your sketches are awesome 😍
Great work Chi! As always! I am so glad that you have said that maxi skirts work for petite women. I am 5'2" myself and have been wearing maxi skirts for ages. But maxi skirts are a big no no according to some. What do they know right?
If you have a small waist it is important to have skirts sit at you waist. It hi lights your waist especially for hour glass curvy petites. I love your videos!!
Love your short videos, they are really helpful for me. I have changed out several items in my wardrobe for better fitted trousers and skirts. Please could you show more videos on layering styles for winter season. 🙏
Videos for a petite pear shape. I am probably too conscious about hips. So what are the best skirts, jeans and dresses for my shape. I would really appreciate videos on styles to choose for pear shape and videos for autumn and winter outfits, like 6 outfits...
Thank you so much for your tips, Ms. Chi! I'm 5'3" (average to slightly taller in Asian / South Asian standards), but I still want to look tall. I bought some straight midis, slightly below knee length, and they make so much difference! I 'm quite thin with bulky legs and flare A-line skirts above the knee don't look good on me. Now the midi skirts hide my big thighs and knocked knees. Only the calves are showing. Thanks to your tips, I was able to find the right style for my body. I can now wear skirts with confidence! Thank you thank you and thank you so much!!!!! You're a Godsend 🧡
I feel like I knew this but I guess not and prob why I’m having issues making a good outfit lately so thank you for all the videos and thank you for making it in English as well. 💄💋💕🛍
Thank you for the informative video! My biggest problem with skirts is that I have a short torso with a very high pelvic bone, so there's no space between the rib cage and the pelvic bone, and all skirts hit the pelvic bone in a way that makes them jut outwards in a very unflattering way. Especially the A-line skirts, which is a pity because I really like the look of them.
“Hi!” Chi Thank you for the information for how petite girls could look better, I noticed in another post, that 5’3 it is considered petite. I am 4’8 and 54 years of age, can you please do a video how we can look good.
Hi Chi greetings from South Africa thank you so much for your advice much appreciated 🙏🙏I'm 5.1 and struggle with skirt lengths to flatter my height and shape which is an hourglass.I recently purchased a maxi pleated and midu A-line skirt so really needed this advice. What type of shoes can I wear with those maybe a video on shoes for those type of clothing items ,not sure if you did it before.Love your channel 💕🤗🥰
Hi Eleanor, maxi pleated got a lot of volume in addition to length, so high heels probably best, or kitten heels. Midi can go with wedges or strappy sandals.
Hi Chi, i have been watching you videos and learning a lot from them. Can you add something about petite and busty. I am 5" tall ad 34DD. longer torso and short legs.
Hi Leyda- I do have a video on how to dress petite and busty, but for some reason TH-cam consider it "adult" content- so they are limiting viewers unless they are signed in and TH-cam can tell their age.
Here I am watching this bcuz my new school uniform is pencil skirt and it's giving me bad vibes cuz my height is just 5'0 it makes me look more shorter 😭
My opinion on A line skirt is that fits only if girl is slim . If girl has biger hips wider in hips area A line is bad choice and will make her even wider .
I notice that they consider petite 5'3 but I am 4'11", so what is the best for these heights? I do have longer legs than torso. I need help bad. I tend to lean more towards the classic look like Anne Klein. Bc of the amount of fabric. Just don't know what looks best actually.
@@PetiteDressing I would appreciate that. Thank you. Mostly because all I ever wear is scrubs since I work in an Emergency Room and when I'm off I don't go many places. Its hard to find outfits for casual or even nice casual that make me feel not frumpy. The scrubs I feel frumpy most of the time, and I do wear the better Figs scrubs.
I'm petite and pear shape as well. I like both A-line, Pleated as well. If you want to show off your curves I also like pencil and high waisted maxi dress with a slit. 💛😉
Today you style skirt and blouse For your fashion this lovely day You pick out with what matches And put them on after showering She feel their touch upon you As You decide to wear no intimates Beneath both of them feeling good Then you put your bare feet in boots You are ready and dressed beautifully
Hi Chi lovely dresses for us ladies to wear. I like a good pleated skirt and they are so gorgeous and beautiful to wear. I wear pointy high heels with them to make the look simple and the legs look longer wearing them. I like a line skirts as well they are beautiful to wear with heels or flats. Thank you so much Chi and I always look forward to your videos and you inspire me so much on this channel to look great and feel sexy. Have a wonderful weekend. Love XO ❤💖😊

Hi Emmie, I’ll make a detailed video on body type and skirts.

You are sooo helpful to me thank you so much
Thank you, lovely! I'm glad to be helpful. ☺️
Hi, I am 5ft3 if I wear high rise i feel top heavy as I am large breasted, so what should I wear.x
Mid waist could work, and I suggest you watch my video on how to dress petites with larger bust.
Here I am watching this bcuz my new school uniform is pencil skirt and it's giving me bad vibes cuz my height is just 5'0 it makes me look more shorter 😭
Consider hemming it, if it's allowed.
Would love any tips on an apple shape
For sure, I'll make more on that. I'm also an apple shape.
Thank you dear
Great video!
I can't wear bias cut as I am a pear with hip dips and it just highlights that and I don't like it!
Really helpful!!
Glad you think so!
My opinion on A line skirt is that fits only if girl is slim . If girl has biger hips wider in hips area A line is bad choice and will make her even wider .
Ninetta- thanks for sharing! For women with wider hips, a line skirt that drapes well often works.
@@PetiteDressing I will pay attention next time. I am proprtional body ..just talking of girls with wide hips ..i thought is not good choice ..
Splendid!

Hi Pretrena- I'll do a video for under 5 foot tall, because that is double harder-so needs special strategies for petites under 5 foot.

the mermaid and short skirts is making you look even shorter
I don't understand this obsession with trying to look taller. I think shorter women are better looking!
I don’t understand trying to look taller. I’m 5 ft 1 inch and can’t change it. Is it just looking tall for pics? I’m happy being petite 😁
lol. I’m 5 ft 1 in, too! The problem I run into a lot is that certain cuts of clothing look like they’re swallowing me. 😅
I would love a video on skirts & dresses for my body shape, I’m an 🍎
I wanted to look shorter , Im 172 cm in height😢
I'm short and plus size
Hi Monette- these tips can still work, whether plus or regular size.
What about those skirts on aliexpress ?
I've never tried them...
What is the best skirt for a petite pear shape?
Go with A line!
I'm petite and pear shape as well. I like both A-line, Pleated as well. If you want to show off your curves I also like pencil and high waisted maxi dress with a slit. 💛😉

Can a petite pear wear a ruched above knee length skirt
Longer length typically works better on pear
