Baby girl I've done them with one and two markers and you can actually get one to two ounces out of one marrker, just as dark of ink, can't tell the difference, if you let it sit in a closed jar at least a day and cut the markers open completely on glass. Almost in half. Saves even more. :)
Those bottles are perfect! If I may suggest, rather than just making enough ink to fill those little bottles, why not get 3 or 4 oz bottles from the dollar store, make an ample batch to have on hand to refill you small working bottle? Seems like it would be much more cost effective. For folks who take medication on a regular basis, start saving those medicine bottles. I almost never throw mine away... too many good uses for them such as storing beads, or when saving gardening seeds, just to name a couple. Anyway, I put in my 2¢ worth. Thanks for the video.
Just tried the cheapest permanent ink pens from a dollar store..............10 for a dollar. Used two per color container with about 20 ml of 91% alcohol. After only 1 hour of soaking, the color is extremely dense and it should get better after an overnight soak. Looked at the Sharpies but they are priced very high. With the cheapo pens, I can create a bottle of ink for about $.20. Tried some dots on old photo paper I have had for years and it worked just great. Worth a try especially since the homemade ink not only works but the price is surely right. Thanks so much for the great video.
Oh my goodness...thank you so, so much! I am a newbies newby making polymer clay figurines and was just fixing to order alcohol ink when I found your tutorial. WOW...the money you have saved me...what an angel you are!
I am turning into a pack rat in my advancing years and have been collecting used and empty alcohol bottles (the ones that they sell in alcohol stores about 1.5 oz.). I didn't know why; I just didn't like to see them going to waste. But I kept wondering what I was going to do with them. Now I know!
Just got permanent markers for my bday. Had to watch this how-to with the hubby. Have everything but the vials. Off to order! Thank for this tutorial, it was much needed :)
I can't believe that's how you make them. So easy and so beautiful! I have everything except the bottles to make me a set. So I'm off to get the the bottles. Thank you for sharing
That's it girl. No more, no less. It's fun and easy to do and works amazing. I have used all the inks I have made. I have a video on that as well. Showing the inks I made on nails. You already saw it I think. It was swatch sticks I did a week or so ago. tfw
As a vaper myself--you can save your juice bottles-rinse them when empty-bring pot of water to a boil-turn heat off-put empty bottles in water let set for at least 10 minutes-drain and rinse the bottles and then let them air dry upside down-then you can use them for other things like this and you don’t have to buy them-just what I do with mine and that way you get more use out of them-love your video
I just finished a few colors, and it is a raging success! One thing I found at the grocery store are little 59ml portion containers that have lids that snap on... so the cats can't get into them. Thank you so much for your tutorial!
Thank you thank you thank you!!! I’ve been trying to figure out how to take apart the sharpie so that I can clean it all out and fill the cartridge with my own ink because the fine point felt tip is absolutely perfect for my projects, and now I know how 🤗. Ps. Denatured alcohol works perfectly for removing sharpie ink or any permanent marker ink from my experience. Just a tip for anyone reading this.
BabygirlNails denatured alcohol is sold at Walmart and is about $5 for a quart, Lowe’s and Home Depot also have it but it’s a little more expensive there. Denatured alcohol is definitely not the same as rubbing alcohol, it is actually used a a clean burning fuel for alcohol stoves, or even DIY mini stoves made out of tuna fish cans or any coke can would work too. With that being said it is extremely flammable so you must be careful not to have any open source of flame or sparks near it. I use it to thin out my shellac, as I use shellac to seal my Japanese and Chinese natural stones for knife/straight razor honing, and one day I sprayed some denatured alcohol on permanent marker and it took it right off, so I discovered it by accident, and it works great. Hope that helps you, take care.
Thanks for sharing this video, my husband who builds model cars and trucks has been dying to try alchol ink but as it is expensive he hasn't yet, but thanks to you he will be in the very near future
wow those color are so vibrant and pretty! Just wanted to let everyone know the sharpie markers are only $3 for a twelve pack this week at office depot.
Very interesting to me right now, as I’ve been looking at alcohol inks to buy. They’re so expensive, I decided against it. I have been collecting all sorts of pigments and different craft paints to experiment with using water, alcohol, and acetone. My view is toward nail artwork especially. It’s nice to see that all I need to do is buy a set of sharpies or two, because I have everything else I need for this. I’ll be looking for how you use this ink in nail artwork. Thanks!
I have tons of video's with me using inks on my nails. You for sure should check those out hun. I think you would enjoy it. Making the inks is fun as well. I also have a neon alcohol ink video as well using neon sharpies. Tfw
Amazing! great work... Thanks for the knowledge... I was equally as interested in the monsters in the background so I had to rewind it a few times lol to focus.
I've made two batches thus far (one of dark green and another that looks blackish-purple on the label--that should be interesting when I start writing with it!). This is a great craft. Other than the mess, which is surprisingly minimal, it came out very well.
In Australia, Sharpie pens are cheapest just before school and even then $2.50 each, yudo paper cant be purchased inside the country and rubbing alcohol is not available to public so I'm trying to get some thru a friend who is physiotheripist. Loved your video, well explained, and easy to follow the steps
lorrane Omg why can't buy alcohol in Australia? and markers here are cheap I buy them if I'm not mistaken 1$ 99c, or the minis sometimes 2per 1$. im stunned about the alcohol.
lorrane Is that because of the alcoholism problems among indigenous people? I've read about how alcohol sales are limited in the areas they live in various parts of the country, so there are regular local producers of moonshine that will add rubbing alcohol to increase the strength of the drink they are producing. So rubbing alcohol just isn't sold so it can't be misused like this. The saddest part is that there are far fewer people in these communities who drink at all, or to excess. But the ones who do drink are far more likely to become alcoholics and effectively be trying to kill themselves slowly by drinking.
Like in Canada, white people make everything to extinguish natives. In residential Schools, christian ministers in charge abused children sexually ,infected them with vaccines; sterilized, and diseminate the drug & tobacco and alcohol, that in reserves are more cheap. Suicides are the consequence. This genocide now denounced by activist last 120 years old. .When the supreme courts ruled compensations, the churches declared bankrupt, and finally the aboriginal leaders were bribed and the commission ask primer minister & the Governor and the Papa give a public apology, that nobody listened,and/or finish the history with some words. All this are posted in Internet by others. So the restriction of sales in rubbing alcohol is for protection of white people not natives.
Not true! Rubbing alcohol is available in most super markets & chemists, it's called "Isocol". www.isocol.com.au/ Also, try Officeworks for the Sharpies. Eckerley's Art Supplies should have the Yudo paper or something similar or Ebay.
I finally got me some bottles and made me some beautiful alcohol inks! I'm putting them on my nails right now (letting the top coat dry) they're gorgeous. Thank You so much for the inspiration! 😍
@@Babygirlnails yeah white seems to be a big secret. Ive got some metallic sharpies I'm going to try and white PHMARTINS ink and Ill let you know what I get or don't get!🤣

I've never done this - but I'm certainly going to try tonight. I wonder if I let them cure overnight in the frig if the color is more intense so therefore yielding more by adding more alcohol. Great information. Thanks.
I vape also and rinsed out my bottles the other day to have on hand, too funny to see you did the same, gmta! Thank you so much for the recipe. Your video was informative and to the point and I had to subscribe. Here's to great projects and happy vaping!
+Chrysanthemumbreath Sinclair Your very welcome hun. They work just the same too. I had to stop buying them on ebay. They are expensive. So you can do ANY colors. U can even mix colors. Like Green and Yellow or Yellow and Blue. Whatever u want. The longer they sit after you bottle them, the more pigmented they get too. I love them. tfw
I know your video was made some time ago, I've done this using pint jars. Excellent results for me. Easy to refill smaller containers without going thru all the message. Have tried this too?
I came across your video by accident and enjoyed watching it. But I have never used alcohol inks and not sure if can be used in cardmaking, do I spray it on to make backgrounds.
It sure can be. Yes, you can get spray bottles for the inks and spray it on. Absolutely. I have other videos you could watch here: th-cam.com/video/KDYrJB6PbDY/w-d-xo.html I also have tons more.
Here's another question: I have a bottle of 91% rubbing alcohol that's nearly finished. There isn't enough left for a full bottle of ink. Can I combine it with 99% rubbing alcohol to make up the difference? Will it spoil the resulting ink or make no difference in the quality?
Does it remain permanent? Because, I am trying to find something to use for painting crochet shawls that I make. I use white yarn, and want to fill in the different pattern elements, similar to a paint by numbers. And, how much of a area would a bottle cover! Thank you.
Well then I would use dye. Not inks. Inks are for smaller jobs or for yupo paper and things like that. I use inks on the nails. Yes, sharpies are permanent. I just don't know for sure if they will last on fabric. It should. You would need more than I made here however. tfw
+Sheila Mancini Sharpie markers are permanent markers. You can find the bottles here: Thanks for watching and good luck. www.ebay.com/itm/400701449812?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Do you have a recipe and a DIY way to make gel pen ink(specifically glitter and shimmer pens)and how to reuse the empty gel pen cartridges, Google didn't have much info on this subject I know there's gotta be s cheaper maybe not so easy way to reuse and refill gel pens

It's so fun and you can use them on the nails after. Or for many other things. I also made ceramic coasters as well. It's the Alcohol Inks on tile video's I have.

I'm so happy you are this video I am a DIY girl anyways so I am totally all over this lol. Ty sister love it. I'll have to watch that coaster video to.
Hey Jamie! That looks like a essy project. Maybe if I had a use for them I might try to make some. So, what can they be used for? I saw the journal project, I'm not a journal'er... you mentioned nail art... but what else? Loved hearing the ambient sounds around your filming aera... so calming... Thx!
Shay EmeraldGypsyHeart Aw thanks. Alcohol Inks can be used on many things. Metals, Glass, Papers, Tin Foil, all sorts of things. Many surfaces. If you look up Alcohol Ink Pictures on Google, you will see many cool things. tfw
I add more alcohol after I am done if I put them in a bigger bottle. Normally I just use these small bottles and that's plenty enough and will last forever if you are only using them for nails. . I also want them very pigmented cause I use them on nails..tfw hun
@@Babygirlnails uhggg. Im getting so sick of never being able to find what I need at the store. Rubbing alcohol is gone every time I go to the store, too :(
Yes they work .that's what i made mine from. They just have a slightly smaller filter inside but its not much different also all I could get was 70%acohol and it worked just fine
I am sure you can. I would put it on as I was using the ink though. Maybe with a sponge. Not sure if the colors from the glitter would dissolve in the alcohol. tfw
Boss Batie I just did a new video adding glitter. I will be posting next week for you. I didn't add it to the bottle but it's beautiful. subscribe so u can watch.

So how does the characteristics of this ink compare to store bought ones. I know the popular ones have a bit of resin or binder in them. Do these dry shiny on a ceramic tile?
I actually have used these on tile if you wanna see a video. Yes, they look shiny after but I also seal them in with a clear adhesive. th-cam.com/video/wUvxYgtWFe4/w-d-xo.html
Great tutorial, Thankyou. Can you suggest the type of container to soak the sharpies into please? Something with a lid, so the liquid doesn't evaporate? Thanks. Leah👍
Thanks Leah. I used those small plastic solo cups. They were the perfect size. I just put tin foil over them over night. Have fun making it and enjoy them. tfw

Does all permanent markers have oil based ink or are they different? I couldn't find sharpies here.. The permanent markers that I've been offered are oil based ink permanent markers.. I just want to get my doubts clear about this.. . Please guide.
+Sasunaru manXman You can use any marker that is permanent I guess. I have never tried any others. I know it doesn't need to be this brand. Good luck tfw
Well maybe you can use other things but I am using these inks as "Alcohol Inks" alone. Hence the name Alcohol Inks. Every other video I have watched on how to make alcohol inks, they have used 91 or 99% Alcohol to do it..
Anx Won Wonderful, I never tried acetone. I only use the 95% alcohol and it's always worked awesome. Of course I tried the 99% too but had to buy it online.
Where did you say you got the bottles from? AN di have tried this method and It didn't work to well for me. I wanted to use on glass blocks and candles. I am not sure what I am doing wrong. The color is not very bright guess maybe I need to use more sharpie colors in one. But when I apply to glass or to a candles it doesn't stay to well. What am I doing wrong? Do you have a id on facebook would love to talk to you about this
+arielbaby9832 I got the bottles from Gremlin Juice online. It's the 10ml. www.gremlinjuice.com/10ml-ldpe-plastic-childproof-bottle/ My facebook link is below. All I did is what you see in the video. Try 2 of the same colored sharpies in one and let them sit in the 99% or 91% Alcohol for a few hours. I waited a long time to bottle mine. Then just put in these bottles and your good to go. They should work. I have a giveaway going on right now for some I made myself. Check it out. tfw
Jamie! Love the alcohol inks out of sharpies. I have one question. Do you know it these inks can be used in good fountain pens? Keep 'em coming! Thanks!
Hi thanks for this, Great vid. I read that sharpies arent that great for painting on polymer clay, apparently it doesn't set well and can be rubbed off very easily. Does it change this using the method you have just shown, Kind regards.
@@Babygirlnails On this video, I have made some batches of ink per your instructions. I think I am going to have a lot of fun. would you mind if I gave you a shout later on my channel?
I'm wondering, can this be done with Crayola markers and other water based markers? If so then it could be made to work with the Crayola refill kit. Alternatively, buy two of the same water based marker set. Soak the sponges of one to make the alcohol ink as described here. Completely wash out the sponges of the second set and the nibs (almost forgot those ^) and air dry them for 24 hours. Use the air dried sponges to soak up the alcohol inks as described in DIY alcohol marker videos. Crayolas are so cheap in price that it's easy to justify doing them this way lol. You seem to have your recipe down to a nice science. 📝👍 I applaud you. Thanks for a very detailed video and demonstration. 🙆
According to Google: Permanent markers use toluene and xylene in their solvent which give the markers their ability to leave long lasting marks. Washable markers use alcohols such as 1-propanol, 1-butanol, diacetone alcohol and cresols in their solvent. Given this statement, washable markers are alcohol-based and you would be putting it into another alcohol base. So it DOES seem like it work. Worth it to do some experimentation.
You don't have to remove it but you should at least cut it so the ink can leak out better. You can try leaving it alone. I am sure it will work the same. tfw
Baby girl I've done them with one and two markers and you can actually get one to two ounces out of one marrker, just as dark of ink, can't tell the difference, if you let it sit in a closed jar at least a day and cut the markers open completely on glass. Almost in half. Saves even more. :)
+Lesa LDG Oh yea, cool. Good to know. Thanks for the tip. If I make more, I will do that. Thanks for watching sweetie.

I know your video was made some time ago, I've done this using pint jars. Excellent results for me. Easy to refill smaller containers without going thru all the message. Have tried this too?
Very true. No I sure have not. I always do that to myself. I always go the harder route..LOL tfw
really enjoyed ur alcohol inks vid.easy diy..turned out great
tfs
Folaurasha Jerry Thanks so much.
I can use any felt pensor markers because here we don't have sharpie
As long as it’s permanent.
Thank you sooo much. I can't afford Pinata. This is a great help!
Meiden quält die Seele Glad I could help ya. Thanks 😊
I came across your video by accident and enjoyed watching it. But I have never used alcohol inks and not sure if can be used in cardmaking, do I spray it on to make backgrounds.
I have now become a subscriber
It sure can be. Yes, you can get spray bottles for the inks and spray it on. Absolutely. I have other videos you could watch here: th-cam.com/video/KDYrJB6PbDY/w-d-xo.html I also have tons more.
Here is my Ink Playlist and thanks for subscribing. th-cam.com/video/iLLBGDzxK6A/w-d-xo.html
Hi, do you have the video on how you used neon alcohol inks. I can’t find it. Thank you.
Yes here it is
th-cam.com/video/vuJ4KMqgoDU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=QtdNJ6p8HdWpwBID
Here's another question: I have a bottle of 91% rubbing alcohol that's nearly finished. There isn't enough left for a full bottle of ink. Can I combine it with 99% rubbing alcohol to make up the difference? Will it spoil the resulting ink or make no difference in the quality?
QueenBoadicea Yes, you can combine them. I have lots of times.
omg I looovvveee this! you're so creative girl!!!! can't wait to see your next video!!!
***** Aw thanks so much. Hugs
***** you're welcome hun xoxo
OMG the rosary nail is beautiful. Can you show a video on how to make them. I love it you are very artistic. Ty for showing you nail collection. DC
I have a video on that already doll. Here ya go. th-cam.com/video/AktKYicau9s/w-d-xo.html Thanks so much
can you use the metallic sharpies and do the same thing?
Worth a shot to try. I'm gonna 🤣
I am sure you could hun. Never tried it but I did a Neon one with a Video.
It should. You would need more than I made here however. tfw
Benefits to epoxy or not
Def thumbs up! Great idea and something I can actually do lol. Tyfs
Thanks so much!!
Are the sharpies permanent sharpies? Where to do get these bottles and what are they called? Love this idea.
+Sheila Mancini Sharpie markers are permanent markers. You can find the bottles here: Thanks for watching and good luck. www.ebay.com/itm/400701449812?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
and do you know a Way how to fill the selfmade-alcoholic-ink in a pen ? or can you only use the selfmade ink with brushes and how you can wash the ink out the brushes ?
+Sasunaru manXman Not sure about the pen but you can use brushes. Acetone or paint thinner to clean your brushes. tfw
***** Just means you can use paint thinner or nail polish remover to clean things.
Can these be used for stamping? Probably a stupid question but I really don't know..
Yes and I have also done it with sharpies. Let me send a link and you can just use the inks to do it instead, th-cam.com/video/-Dn6DzsZSXM/w-d-xo.html
Does it have to sit for an hour? I'm making one now with the color of blue and its my first time so please help me.. Thank you..
I actually let mine sit overnight. If you want them to be very pigmented and bold, they need to sit for awhile. Good Luck and Enjoy.
How long do we leave the ink in the alcohol before putting into the bottles?
I just left mine sit overnight doll.
Thank you so much for showing how to make alcohol ink much appreciated
Your so welcome. I have neon inks too that I made. And the video is in my playlist of inks. tfw
Can you use methylated spirits instead of isopropyl
I don't see why not. It's almost the same thing. Give it a try with one or two and see how it works out. Good Luck. tfw
Llana Waara yes
Do you have a recipe and a DIY way to make gel pen ink(specifically glitter and shimmer pens)and how to reuse the empty gel pen cartridges, Google didn't have much info on this subject I know there's gotta be s cheaper maybe not so easy way to reuse and refill gel pens
angela davis I honestly don’t sweetheart. I have only used gel pens once. I am sure you could refill them and maybe someone on here has a video for you . Sorry sweetheart
@@Babygirlnails ok well it was worth asking about thank you so much for answering me back, so far I haven't found one video or website nothing on making gel pen ink or refilling gel pens DIY. I'm the future if you hear something or find anything will you please message me right in these comments tell mew about it thanks again
angela davis You’re welcome huni and Yes I’ll absolutely let you know.
good idea😍😍😍😍💖💖💖
lucelia dantas Thanks so much
just wondering if this will work with the cheaper markers as well.
As long as it is a permanent marker it will. Good Luck. tfw
Quick question, how do u clean out the vape bottles? I have tons but they still have a few drops of oil left in them..
Hot water should work just fine doll.
BabygirlNails tyvm! 💜
BabygirlNails 1 other question if u have a bigger bottle should u b using 2 markers or is 1 enough?
@@snugglebuns6969 One will work but two makes it more opaque. It's up to you. Tfw
Thanks for the vidios... God bless you....
Glad you like them! God Bless
wow girl this is going to be my next mission. Love the video too
It's so fun and you can use them on the nails after. Or for many other things. I also made ceramic coasters as well. It's the Alcohol Inks on tile video's I have.
BabygirlNails I've been wanting to use the colored alcohol inks forever now but they are so expensive I just always put it on hold but now I can make my own yay. I'm so happy you are this video I am a DIY girl anyways so I am totally all over this lol. Ty sister love it. I'll have to watch that coaster video to.
Thanks so much. Happy ya like it. It saves a lot of money and they work just like the real thing.
If you look up Alcohol Ink Pictures on Google, you will see many cool things. tfw
Thx! I'm googling!
Shay EmeraldGypsyHeart Your welcome
Love your nails! Great video!
Thanks hun
I also do tons of nail video's
How long do you let them sit in the alcohol?
kellycaufield I let them sit 24 hours covered up.
great idea thank you for the video !!😊
Natalie G Thanks sweetie
Why do you use such a small amount of alcohol to the ink nibs? Your nail colors are great!
I add more alcohol after I am done if I put them in a bigger bottle. Normally I just use these small bottles and that's plenty enough and will last forever if you are only using them for nails. . I also want them very pigmented cause I use them on nails..tfw hun
Hi. All I could find at the store were the fine tip Sharpies. Will those work?
kellycaufield They need to be the big felt tip ones so you can pull the ink out. You can try and those huni. I’m not sure how it would work.
@@Babygirlnails uhggg. Im getting so sick of never being able to find what I need at the store. Rubbing alcohol is gone every time I go to the store, too :(
kellycaufield Well u might be able to use those huni. Just take one apart and see if it’s got the big ink cartridge inside.
@@Babygirlnails Seem to be working awesome! Thank you!!!
Yes they work .that's what i made mine from. They just have a slightly smaller filter inside but its not much different also all I could get was 70%acohol and it worked just fine
Does this have to be sharpie or other markers can be done?
It just needs to be permanent markers. Thanks 😊
That was absolutely awesome thanx for sharing! Question - I want some sparkle to that ink do I just add glitter?
I am sure you can. I would put it on as I was using the ink though. Maybe with a sponge. Not sure if the colors from the glitter would dissolve in the alcohol. tfw
Boss Batie I just did a new video adding glitter. I will be posting next week for you. I didn't add it to the bottle but it's beautiful. subscribe so u can watch.
Awesom can't wait to see it thank u!
This is freaking genius! The inks at michaels and hobby lobby are so pricey this is an amazing hack!! Have you experienced any issues with these since filming this video? If not I know what I am crafting this week! Thanks for the great practical tutorial
Will this ink work on small plastic vase filler? (small plastic bits/pebbles)
I really do not know sweetie. Sorry.
very cool Jamie!! you rock
Cayce Murray Aw, thanks gal. Yes yes..LOL
can use t for prnter?
Mooh Nooh Hmmm good question. I really don’t know. It’s permanent ink so it’s possible
thanks
What are the names of those bottles because the website doesn't show a picture don't wanna buy the wrong ones
Eileen Ayude Sorry hun, it's the one that says (image coming soon)..LOL Here is the link: www.gremlinjuice.com/10ml-ldpe-plastic-childproof-bottle/
Is it necessary to use permanent markers or we can use any marker?
Bushii Raa It needs to be permanent. It will wash off if not.
would dried up sharpies work?...not ones that have run out on me...just dried up
Erin Nicholson I don't see why not. After soaking them in isopropyl alcohol, they should work. Give it a go. Tfw
How long did she leave them soaking in the alcohol
I left them in overnight. Thanks
Have fun making it and enjoy them. tfw
Ok... Not very fast. Lol that was so funny! 💗 Your humor!
Hahaha tfw
For how long you let the pieces of sharpie markers sit into the alcohol
I let them sit overnight doll. tfw
ok. so i'm addicted to your channel..lol.. this is perfect.. i found similar bottles on ebay - 10 for under $2.00.. Off to get some sharpies now.. you rock!! (by the way, I love hearing the cranes in the background) :)
+riquena Aw, haha. That's kind of you to say. I am happy you like it. I have tons of other video's you may like as well. Just go through my list when you get antsy and want something to do. Yes, those are the Cranes that live near us. They can be so loud sometimes. Tfw sweetie
***** oh yeah.. i've gone through some of your vids slowly.. you have tons! lol.. and yes, those cranes are loud.. there aren't that many where I am in Orlando, but occasionally I see a family. They're so big and beautiful!
riquena Oh wow, we are only 1.5 hours from each other. Cool. Maybe someday we can meet up. I am near Ocala. Salt Springs area.
sounds like a plan!! (when it gets warmer - i can't take this frigid 65 degrees so I know it's colder in Ocala! lol) :D
riquena Yea true. It's been nice. I don't like it too cold but lately it's nice.
Does all permanent markers have oil based ink or are they different? I couldn't find sharpies here.. The permanent markers that I've been offered are oil based ink permanent markers.. I just want to get my doubts clear about this..
. Please guide.
Bushii Raa I honestly don’t know. Maybe google it and you can find answers.
can I use other markers?
+Sasunaru manXman You can use any marker that is permanent I guess. I have never tried any others. I know it doesn't need to be this brand. Good luck tfw
***** Yes, true. Thanks
Can i spray on metal ive rusted?
You can
How about a lemon juicer?
Possible yes. tfw huni
is there a way I can do this without rubbing alcohol? like maybe peroxide or..?
No hun. You have to use either the Isopropyl alcohol or they have a blending solution that is the same. It just has some other things in it.
Thomas H. They say you can use acetone. I haven't tried it.
How long do you let the Sharpie sponge sit in the alcohol?
I let it sit over night. You can do it for a few hours if you don't wanna wait.
Check it out. tfw
How can i make a white alcohol ink?? I can't find a white charpi
I have always wondered that also..LOL I don't really know.
How about manicure scissors to cut the plastic?
Yes. i didn't have those at the time. Now I do.tfw
Jamie! Love the alcohol inks out of sharpies. I have one question. Do you know it these inks can be used in good fountain pens?
Keep 'em coming!
Thanks!
I honestly am not to sure. You could try it. It should work. Glad ya liked it. tfw
Hi! Is there a big difference between this and actual branded alcohol ink?
Not to much of a difference. I love them both. tfw
Hi thanks for this, Great vid. I read that sharpies arent that great for painting on polymer clay, apparently it doesn't set well and can be rubbed off very easily. Does it change this using the method you have just shown, Kind regards.
Hmmm Good question hun. I honestly do not know that answer.
Hmm prodigious!!to use it for hair dye now on synthetic pieces.. 🤔🤔
Absolutely!!!!! I bet it would work perfect. tfw
BabygirlNails ooh wow awesome thank you 😘
These are permanent inks so it could work. Good luck.
very pretty! how do these perform in resin?
They should work just fine. I haven't tried it but would love to. Just haven't. Tfw I also have a neon ink how to video.
this is great for 3d printing too
Thanks so much Chris
@@Babygirlnails Welcome. And greets from the UK.
@@Babygirlnails On this video, I have made some batches of ink per your instructions. I think I am going to have a lot of fun. would you mind if I gave you a shout later on my channel?
@@crmusicproduction Of course I don't mind. Ty so very much Chris.
oooh I never thought to use vape bottles - I have a ton of them!!
Hahaha Yes, they work well gal.
James Barton Thanks a lot James. Just remember, these are permanent markers. Lol
According to Google:
Permanent markers use toluene and xylene in their solvent which give the markers their ability to leave long lasting marks.
That’s sounds good!! Thanks for letting me know. It may work but wouldn’t it wash out??
@@Babygirlnails I'm not sure.
do you have to remove the plastic piece from the ink tube?
You don't have to remove it but you should at least cut it so the ink can leak out better. You can try leaving it alone. I am sure it will work the same. tfw
thanks..and thank you for sharing :)
You are welcome sweetie. Tfw
Where do you get your blades?
Deb G Those are Fimo blades. It’s nail art. I think try Fimo blades on EBay.
@@Babygirlnails thank you!

Can this alcoholic ink be used with resin to make coasters? like the petri dish coasters
I actually made coasters using tiles and it worked great. I am sure it would work. Just make sure to seal it after. tfw
