- Here's another cycling vlog for you guys, featuring a 140km tour with only 1000 meter in elevation gain but lots of pain and suffering. Also, we've probably found the ugliest village in Bogotá's surroundings...

Hola Andres! Me alegra que te puedo mostrarte tu Colombia, siguen mas videos rodando :)
Ola Chica! Another great video.. 😄 it's nice to see two together having fun... Beautiful skys and landscapes. Your a lucky girl to be there. 😆
Thank you Trebor! :)
That was so funny and adorable at the end with your boyfriend. I hope you're happy together for long time. Great to see your bike journey around Columbia and that you both have such a sense of humor after such a long, tiring ride.
It's still cracking me up when I watch it again myself :D:D thank you so much, I hope so too! :)
love when you do bicycling videos! I can tell by watching you on the bike that your form has improved a lot! The coughing is a good sign, it means you got a good cardio workout. I like a lot that your bf pushes you on the bike and makes you do intense climbs! Please make as many bicycle riding videos as you can. Thanks!
Awe, that's great to hear! I also feel more and more confident on the bike and Strava shows me that I'm improving a lot lately! Intensity training really is the key for me here :) Thanks for the sweet comment!
+Mango Mama Yes good about training as much as you can, but on some days when you feel more tired do recovery rides too. Also I recommend reading articles in Bicycling Magazine (seems many of them are online nowadays), and also watching the Global Cycling Network TH-cam channel.
Volmarr Wyrd Yes, I definitely do recovery rides and entire recovery days as well :)
why does colombia has such a beautiful scenery!!!! i wanna be there!
NEXT YEAR JANUARY: #COLOMBIAVEGFEST !!!
beauty everywhere
Well done on the cycling! Worried about the coughing; maybe you said why, but it was hard to hear you a couple of times. It looked like a beautiful day, though. Thanks for posting : )
I said that he was pushing me too hard! It happens quite often and is normal that your lungs hurt after an intense workout. Sometimes it even hurts until the next day :)
Love these cycling videos, also what saddle do you have I need a good women's specific with a cut out but not sure on which to get, also don't have tonnes of money to spend on one x

What kind of bike computer do you have beautiful mangomama 😊?
A Garmin! :)
Ayyyeeee... :D, I knew it hahaha!
Hi! What camera do you use? Also...those glasses are cool. What kind are they?
Hey Nije, camera is a gopro hero 3, and the glasses idk, they are his :O
+Mango Mama thanks Mango Mamma!!! P.S. Great new bike!!!!
Your man is eating vegan a lot I see. Must be love :) mine is a meat eater -he's German btw ;) -but he's slowly cutting back under my influence (with no pressure from me at all!) and I think he will be eventually vegan too when I move down to live with him next year. I think it's a much better strategy when looking for a partner to forget about waiting to find a vegan (they are too few!) and instead turn an omni slowly vegan with yummy food choices so they don't even miss the meat or dairy and they see it as their decision and not something forced on them.
definitely my strategy as well :D:D:D
😎
oops...Colombia!
DOUBLE LIKE :D
Will you go to #paradadelazucar in November ?
nope! :O are you?
+Mango Mama I'll hope, but I thought that you will stay in GF to meet you 😬

TheArcos Unfortunately no :S
nice ride
hey what is the best way to get over cramps. I'm doing 40mile rides and my muscles tend to cramp over 40 miles. what can I do to jump to 60 to 80 mile rides? thanks in advance :)
Cramps means you're most likely lacking magnesium! Try dates / bananas as a snack. (Also a plant-based diet in general lol - I never had a single cramp over now 16.000+km)
Jumping from 60 to 80 miles I'd to it progressively...increasing each week a little more :) Or just harden the fuck up and smash those 80 miles, push through the pain, and go home crying but happy :D
LOL ;)
good Training 👌relax shoulders 😌
yaaaaaaaa, the struggle is real :D

What's the best way to plan a cycling trip to Colombia?
Hmm, good question. And there probably is a very easy answer. I have done two cycling trips and they were both unplanned. I just checked what type of clothes I needed to bring (hot or cold weather clothes), and took off. You can find cheap hotel rooms and cheap food in every tiny village and people are very warm-hearted and friendly towards foreigners.
Say you land in Bogotá, just start pedalling and know at least how far the possible villages to take a break in are apart, and then stop whenever you are tired. You can also find great food on the side of the road, especially in warmer climate areas you will find fruit vendors along the roads.
There are some popular roads or probably just the main roads connecting big cities, such as Bogotá - Bucaramanga, La Ruta del Sol (Bogotá - Caribbean coast), Bogotá/Medellín - Cali, etc.
When you have more specific plans you can also ask me again, there are lots of mystical climbs in Colombia and I guess it would be cool to include some of them! :)
