Authentic Serbian Wedding: A Celebration of Traditions, Music, and Dance!

Join in and watch an extraordinary journey as I attend a vibrant and traditional Serbian wedding, a unique experience that few have the privilege to witness. From the lively streets of Belgrade to the serene mountains of Čačak, this video captures the essence of Serbian culture and its joyous celebrations.
My adventure began with a train ride to Vilnius, followed by a flight to Belgrade with a stopover in Zurich. We enjoyed a delightful dinner in Belgrade, tasting local dishes like crispy fritters, Sicilian arancini, and creamy hummus. The next morning, we took a taxi to Čačak, where the city was alive with Serbian music and traditional gunshots, heralding the wedding festivities.
The bride and groom met amidst joyous cheers and lively brass music, making their way to a picturesque Serbian Orthodox church (crkva) atop a mountain. The wedding ceremony was a beautiful blend of tradition and celebration. The reception at the elegant Beli Dvor, or White Palace, was nothing short of magical, with heartfelt toasts and a joyous cake-cutting ceremony.
The following morning, we visited Pečenjara Kod Brana for mint tea and Serbian (Turkish) coffee, soaking in the local flavors and hospitality. Our journey concluded with a heartfelt farewell lunch at Marko's house, surrounded by friends, family, and delicious homemade dishes.
