Thank you for your great content! I’d like to implement the following: When a user clicks on a post, they should navigate to the detail page. Upon navigating back, they should return to the exact position in the repeating group where they were before. Is this achievable with Bubble (e.g., storing the scroll position in a custom state), or is JavaScript (e.g., scrollIntoView) required? Does this also work with lazy loading or pagination? Would you consider creating a video on this topic? Thank you for the value you bring!
Great question, yes, you can extract the scroll position and/or RG cell you were in, save it somewhere temporary (custom state or URL parameter), and then auto-navigate back using "scroll to" actions. Depending on your design, you may need to get a bit crafty, but it's possible! Thanks for the video suggestion! 🙌
This is fantastic! Could you discuss the maintenance costs for running an MVP like this on Bubble? I've received quotes ranging from $2k to $5k per month for a social app with around 1,000 users on other coding platforms
You can definitely run a lively social media app for far less than those quotes per month. Of course, every app is different, but a huge part of it is how efficient you are in your build. You can build quite a robust social network app on Bubble's Starter Plan (~$30/mo). From there, it'll depend on any extra plugins or additional workload needs your specific app requires. Even the higher tiers don't get you anywhere close to the thousands/month and provide you with even more workload resources. Ads, paid subscription tiers, premium posts... depending on what the network is for you could have paid organized events or marketplace transactions. Check out our videos on monetizing Bubble apps to learn more: th-cam.com/video/WKnqOSPtM5Y/w-d-xo.html and th-cam.com/video/fdq0eFMcbNQ/w-d-xo.html
Great video! As a Bubble dev myself (though with less experience) it is always good to check the best practices and plugins in use ;-)
💯🙌
Thank you 감사합니다
🙌❤️
Is there a step-by-step walkthrough somewhere for this build out?
