Scott Chegg was too busy dominating world motorsport elsewhere this week. I can only hope I've made him proud.
@@Super_GTI hate to say it, but Scott Chegg has his flaws. He only races certain ovals, like Daytona, and leaves out skill based oval tracks. I hate to say it, but Scott Chegg may not be the greatest racer of all time. It is close, but I am not sure if he is the best. It’s between him and Nicolas Latifi in my opinion. Cody Ware is up there as well.

Steve, as a life long Nascar fan, when you race at these super speedways you are racing exactly as you need to. BUT, if you were able to create a second line of cars on the outside line, you would see a better chance of overtaking at the line for the WIN. This exactly. Racing at a super speedway is a team sport (and the team can be as small as two cars) because of how difficult it is to pull off a win on your lonesome. You have to have help.

SuperGt, I'm an oval racer for about 5 yrs over multiple games. Try to make the high line work. It's actually a very strong line, but you have to "diamond" your turns on entry and exit of corners. Also side draft the car on the inside and you can make the high line work
Haven't played this game, but from this video it doesn't look like side drafting is modeled at all.

@@kakmaster6945 A bit over simplified, you put one of your front tires right next to one of their rear ones momentarily. You're using the nose of your car to dump extra air onto the rear of theirs to slow down their acceleration so you can gain an advantage on them.
As a nascar fan this looked incredible and that was BEYOND a photo finish. I hope I didn’t miss this race!!

Steve has never mentioned it, as far as I know, but his streams were getting attacked by trolls. The Kimi Velocinis of the world jump into the daily races just to mess up the live streams. If he jumps into the daily races at some unannounced random time, that won't happen.
@@the_mowron wish GT had a way to block drivers, so that you don't get put in the same lobby as them.
@@hueanao The issue in the dailies is that there are relatively few people entering any particular race. All of the popular live streamers are A+ rated. If you can get your rating to A+, you will almost always be in the same race as Eeries or Kie or Steve, etc., and you can create chaos to get the attention you crave. It's all very juvenile.
@@the_mowron I don't really think that was an issue to be honest. It was more a lack of time to properly put into it but I wouldn't say that trolls were doing anything bad to me online really.

Very specific with the driving style such as turning left, and slightly turning left and once more slightly guiding your car to turn left
4:05 I noticed that if you run HDR the reflections are a lot smaller, but still "bright". Then if you switch back to non-HDR, the whites are all blown out and reflections are insane and huge again.. unless you reduce the temporary exposure correction way down. 🤷♂ It's like something is not tuned quite right between the two modes.

The problem with this game is that the draft only benefits the trailing car. In real life, the draft benefits the lead and trailing cars.

Ending of the first race was like a scene out of Pixar Cars😂
I suggest using the in car camera angle for this race, because I think having a left hand side mirror might help defending the inside line(train). Not an expert by any means, but should solve not having to look back all the time.
Such a wild race every time, went from P8 on the last lap to win on the line when the guy in front copped a 0.5 sec penalty yesterday

It is annoying how short the races are considering the grand strategy of these races never comes to play. Also passing over the double yellow is supposed to force a position loss

I agree. This race is dumb. I jumped in and was immediately spun out by someone driving waaaay to aggressive and wound up finishing last every time. I think I'm just too incapable of turning left properly.
This was the first Sport Mode race I participated in and I placed 3rd place.
You should have binned him in the wall, it would have been the Nascar thing to do.
You must block at the end, not aggressively but you must try

It's very obvious nobody racing watches oval racing. The second lane is up there but everyone is stuck doing the same thing and crashing because of it.

The penalties should be shut off on this race. You get the penalty if they wreck and bounce off the wall into you.

I’m not a fan of nascar or oval racing. But finishing a race 4 wide and the time between 1st and 5th only being .3 of a second is pretty exciting.
If only that happened in NASCAR on a weekly basis then it would actually be exciting. Oval racing looks way better in gt7 than nascar
oval racing in itself is amazing its an opposite of f1 in f1 its generally over cut and undercut drs but the thing with nascar is the over cut can work a few laps later f1 is my preference but honestly if you watch nascar for the stratagy and not the racing itself its pretty great honestly give it a try
That pretty much happened at Talladega in 2011. 3 wide at the line. Top 8 finished within less than .5 from each other.

Grew up in Miami and my mom and dad were NASCAR fans. Id go to a lot of the races and was bored out of my mind, but the finish was ALWAYS a super exiting moment.

Well this is the second time I've made it into a SuperGT GT7 video and coincidentally enough both times were on the Daytona oval daily races. I was the guy with the top replay (RestlessInferno at 14:06).
I have no idea why turning those assists on made the car go quicker but I literally improved nearly 2 tenths with them on. I did turn them off for the races though lol.
I love the sun reflection. It looks exactly like what you see in a stock car when they show the in car camera.
All I can say as a lifelong NASCAR fan (especially restrictor plate racing i.e. Daytona, Talladega), if I’ve learned anything about superspeedway racing, you must work together. You must stay in the slipstream. The outside line rarely, if never prevails. The thing I can’t emphasize enough is WORKING TOGETHER. Help keep each other in the draft until the last lap…or you can ride it out in the back and hope you survive the melee. This is pretty much the rule of thumb. Please do correct me if I’m wrong. Just a noob here.
the outside line can actually be pretty dominant as long as there’s enough pushing help in that line. but unfortunately you can’t really do that on this game and being required to run sports hards doesn’t allow you to make any speed up top

This race is hilarious but still to win you need to survive unfortunately I got claimed by Barry R, but great racecraft and driving from you to drive from the back to fight for a win even though you need a bit of luck 😃

Why aren't you using the ending explosion with the song anymore? I actually miss that. It use to give me some despair sensation of sadness, and I knew in that moment that I had to watch another video of yours in order to be happy again, until it all happened again.
Oval racing is boring unless you're drinking or paying attention and know what is going on -Uncle Don. He did both and would explain the race in technical terms even us kids could understand.
Dude was living what Dale Earnhardt Senior went thru on the Daytona 500. Won on every track, that one almost eluded him. He finally did win it, but it basically took him his whole career
