im such a sucker for good live recordings. with or without video. for example i love "over the years and through the woods" by Queens of the Stone Age. you have to turn it up a bit but it sounds like you're there and very clear at the same time.
Nico injected new life in the old songs, they just sound better than the old studio versions, and way way better than old live ones, you guys are already one of my favorite bands, the energy is on a complete new level nowadays, keep doing that and I'll be there whenever I can for you guys.
@@Y0G0FU Sushi is a lot better on ghost kid, it just fits him better, he is a very good singer, and I like old EC a lot, I just like it way way more right now, you gotta embrace the goofiness to really go next level on EC, and he just didn't, he clearly didn't want to be that committed to fun, and wanted to be more serious, nothing wrong with that, but it prevented him to give 100%, even if he tried.
100%. My Own Summer is the perfect example. Nico's clean vocals on this track are like honey to my ears. This looks like it was an amazing show and the mix was about as perfect as it could be.

@@pedrothevenard this. Sushi is a great singer and musician who carried the band with both cleans and fry vocals. But while he even tried to be on the funnier side of EC, he's just not suited for that. Nico is naturally funny almost as much as Kevin and David and just fits this direction. Not to mention he is amazingly diverse vocalist at the same time.
This is one of the best live videos I’ve ever seen, absolutely incredible, from the mix to the performance to the stage presence. 100% on point. The crowd was also on another level.
Check out the live shows of a band called “fear and loathing in Las Vegas” they are techno core there not as goofy as these guys, but talk about some of the best live recording sheeeesh the Japanese never fail technically! Plus the band is absolutely cannon!
@@scwfan08 I've been to a EC concert and they always have a slight playback because they use more instruments in their songs that they can play on stage. Their live performance is what you can see here. This is what they sound live. Great mix, great performance, crazy band.
@@scwfan08 since I was there that night, sure they did some audio post-production for this video, but that was also almost what they sounded like live, only the instruments were live a touch too loud for the lyrics - at least from the place where I stood.

Months ago we bought tickets for their US mid-west tour this fall; seeing this, I can't imagine how they'd ever play a 400-person club ever again. I hope we get to see them, but if we don't, I cannot possibly hold it against them--I am SO HAPPY for them in their success. They absolutely earned it.
They are doing a 600 club show in Dk sould out so far. Just imagine the sheer PARTY with 600 dedicated EC fans, though i wish for the to up the size of the venue ;)

Das "problem" wurde mit Nico praktisch behoben. :3 Ich mag die neuen spaßigen Songs sehr gerne, aber ich hoffe trotzdem, dass auch unter den zukünftigen Projekten noch "serious stuff" kommen wird. Watching this concert has made me want to get back into music. I lost that spark and have spent well over 10 years in the wilderness except for one show where my bands favourite venue was closing down. We put on one last show for it and I haven't been on a stage since. I think it's time to blow out the cobwebs and have some fun
While not in wildness i too kinda lost that spark but in my late 30s rediscovered my old friend music. This group of fans dont have smartphones coving the crowd THOSE are the shows i remember. 100s of ppl living in the moment
They recorded all channels separately at this concert and mixed it in the studio. Instead of just uploading the foh/location mix they optimised it for normal speakers and headphones. Hands down the best mix for a live video I have heard so far. I think it sounds even better than alestorms Tilburg Concert.

Als jemand, der von dreistündigen Ärzte-Konzerten verwöhnt ist, kommt einem die Stunde sehr kurz vor. Allerdings gibt es halt bei euch keine ruhigen Lieder zwischendurch zum Ausruhen. Ich denke nach der Stunde ist man auch komplett durch 😅 ich muss es glaub ich einfach mal testen 🤔
I found out this absolutely beautiful insanity just recently, and there are no tickets for upcoming concerts 😭 Hope you will have many more tours in upcoming years, I'm going to get ready and pumped up! 🤯 I'll never give up! This looks like the most fun I'd have on a show ever. I mean, I've been at the Big 4 in Sofia, seen Rammstein twice (still my fav band), I've seen Ice Nine Kills, and like 200 other bands, but man, Eskimo Callboy are on a different level when it comes to just having a good time. I guess I'll have to travel to the civilized part of Europe to see them, though. P.S. Are their guitars just tracks or are they live? They sound too good to be live. Just wondering.
There's a gear video where they discuss their setup. So they run their guitars into a couple of Kempers and have that linked to the backing tracks and lighting (so autoswitching channels and the like). This is all triggered by the the drummer. You'll see in some of these live shows he'll push a button before starting drumming.
@@tim290280 Oh, I gotta watch that. Still, do they have guitar backing tracks? I know they use vocal tracks for sure, but I can't figure out the guitars. Their setup is wireless which is always an odd choice for live shows, so I really wonder. The guitar sound is just too... studio-like. If it's entirely live, that'd be amazing.
@@Zombot012, the Kempers would be going line out straight to the recording and sound desk. So that's going to be part of why they sound too studio like. Not saying they don't use backing tracks, but probably not needed for the most part. Check the bit in The Scene with the lower gain bit before the bridge. It doesn't quite hit the mark with timing and sound.

Though I wouln't be too surprised if they had some minor additional guitars here and there but I'd expect those rather in some breakdown part than in the intro of the scene. I don't think the guitar there is from a backing track.

The only thing wrong with We Got the Moves is that it was released in September 2021. If they would have held it back for a June 2022 release, it would have been one of the greatest summer anthems in music history.

Watching this concert has made me want to get back into music. I lost that spark and have spent well over 10 years in the wilderness except for one show where my bands favourite venue was closing down. We put on one last show for it and I haven't been on a stage since. I think it's time to blow out the cobwebs and have some fun
While not in wildness i too kinda lost that spark but in my late 30s rediscovered my old friend music. This group of fans dont have smartphones coving the crowd THOSE are the shows i remember. 100s of ppl living in the moment

They recorded all channels separately at this concert and mixed it in the studio. Instead of just uploading the foh/location mix they optimised it for normal speakers and headphones. Hands down the best mix for a live video I have heard so far. I think it sounds even better than alestorms Tilburg Concert.

Als jemand, der von dreistündigen Ärzte-Konzerten verwöhnt ist, kommt einem die Stunde sehr kurz vor. Allerdings gibt es halt bei euch keine ruhigen Lieder zwischendurch zum Ausruhen. Ich denke nach der Stunde ist man auch komplett durch 😅 ich muss es glaub ich einfach mal testen 🤔

This looks like the most fun I'd have on a show ever. I mean, I've been at the Big 4 in Sofia, seen Rammstein twice (still my fav band), I've seen Ice Nine Kills, and like 200 other bands, but man, Eskimo Callboy are on a different level when it comes to just having a good time. I guess I'll have to travel to the civilized part of Europe to see them, though.
P.S. Are their guitars just tracks or are they live? They sound too good to be live. Just wondering.
I am pretty sure they are all live, but not 100%
There's a gear video where they discuss their setup. So they run their guitars into a couple of Kempers and have that linked to the backing tracks and lighting (so autoswitching channels and the like). This is all triggered by the the drummer. You'll see in some of these live shows he'll push a button before starting drumming.
@@tim290280 Oh, I gotta watch that. Still, do they have guitar backing tracks? I know they use vocal tracks for sure, but I can't figure out the guitars. Their setup is wireless which is always an odd choice for live shows, so I really wonder. The guitar sound is just too... studio-like. If it's entirely live, that'd be amazing.
@@Zombot012, the Kempers would be going line out straight to the recording and sound desk. So that's going to be part of why they sound too studio like. Not saying they don't use backing tracks, but probably not needed for the most part.
Check the bit in The Scene with the lower gain bit before the bridge. It doesn't quite hit the mark with timing and sound.
@@tim290280 Yeah but that might be due to the video not being all in sync. Though I wouln't be too surprised if they had some minor additional guitars here and there but I'd expect those rather in some breakdown part than in the intro of the scene. I don't think the guitar there is from a backing track.

The only thing wrong with We Got the Moves is that it was released in September 2021. If they would have held it back for a June 2022 release, it would have been one of the greatest summer anthems in music history.
