I think I first got started following your channel with your *2023* Best Of The Year so I'm looking forward to your 2024 Best Of! And do continue to keep the bourbons and ryes separate. I've seen a very popular channel do whiskey blinds with four or five bourbons and one rye and, lo and behold, the rye wins. First, I'm thinking the rye only won because it stood out from the pack. And, second, I'm not a rye guy; I'm only interested in bourbon results.

@@AMWhiskey-kl8qh, I did give it some thought as to what you could add but nothing comes to mind. I've been watching the other channels' blind Best Of 2024 lists and most everything you have there has been doing well. The one bottle, though, that's been coming up a little short of expectations is Discovery 12. And there is one bottle doing well -- but I don't think you have it -- that, to me, seems to have come out of left field and that is Still Austin Tanager Cigar Blend.
@@AMWhiskey-kl8qh, Aaron shouldn't be so confident that bottle will win. Some other channels have been confident this year ... There was Chad and Sara Night, in a Best Of 2024 blind. Chad thought #1 was gonna be either Russell's 15 or Heaven Hill 18. Sara thought #1 would be either Russell's 15 or Eagle Rare 17. The both of them got a surprise. And then there was a guy named Dan (who's a junkie). Prior to doing the Best Of 2024 blind, Dan had said Russell's 15 is the best whiskey he's had in a decade. Dan, too, got a surprise.

@@AMWhiskey-kl8qh There's value to keeping the unobtanium's out... The channel's that keep their "Best of" limited to bottles they personally own are the better one's IMHO. Individual bottle reviews? By all means, include the samples from friends / family / followers
@@ProjectLifeGoal, Ideally, I prefer the Best Of The Years where the reviewer has had some time to drink multiple drams from the bottle before including it in the competition. Not something you can do with small sample bottles. And I don't trust the 200 ml media samples.
Glad you'll be doing this comparison *blind* . Most of the channels have *not* been doing the Best Of 2024 *blind* and I don't trust those non-blind results. For example, one of the most popular channels (with over 100,000 subscribers) first did a pre-recorded Best Of 2024 video *non-blind* and then, afterward, did a Best Of 2024 Live *blind* . Earlier in the year the host of that channel had called Russell's 15 a "generational bourbon." The channel's *non-blind* Best Of 2024 had Russell's 15 at *#1* . But -- in their Best Of 2024 *blind* -- Russell's 15 came in at *#5* !

Great selection of "heavy hitter" bourbons. I'm a little surprised that a rye did not make the cut. Any honorable mention, rye?
