How (*not) to train for a 130km race

  • Running 130km in the mountains scares me. A lot! But preparation is key. And when things don't go exactly as you plan, it can get even more scary.
    So for my upcoming 130km race in the Polish mountains, training was not like I wanted it to be.
    On my first and last big training run before the race, I thought of some things that you should NEVER do when preparing for a long day in the mountains.

    Jou advies klink nog baie soos jou approach van jare gelede… Gaan Oppi toe die week voor Trans Baviaans. Some things never change… Dis baie mooi daar waar jy bly, geniet die Poland race en moenie TE stupid wees nie.

      Steeds die hardste ding wat ek al ooit gedoen het daai transbaviaans!! ek dink altyd aan daai dag as dinge rerig wild begin raak, en dan voel ek weer sterk :-)
