They pretty much handcraft everything ... and the machines in that factory are some of the finest available. If you have an opportunity to visit the Linn Factory, I highly recommend it... I own their midline products, and they are spectacular, I aspire to own the Klimax Series
Linn products are just spectacular. I’ve owned a Linn kit since the eighties and it brought me so much joy. Never had a single problem with this high quality equipment. The Scottish people can be so proud of this company. In the Netherlands we can play football, in Scotland they have Linn!
I own the linn spark and the k280 Without any transformers inside as The spark has two separate power supplies, one per channel I'm.sure this amplifier would have the edge over the klout.
Linn has the worst quality workmanship. I made the mistake of my life and it has been a nightmare dealing with both company and the dealer, Star electronics. One lesson learnt, never pay upfront for LINN products, because not only does their quality sucks, but also Linn's customer service. Once they have your money, Linn doesn't care. Worst nightmare, stay away from Linn.
@@ajayr8781 Sorry to hear about your less than stellar experience. I have not had any issues with Linn when I owned it. I still buy from Star Electronics. The service, support and advice has always been (and continues to be) spot on.
All hifi manufacturers take note. Attention to detail and no cheap arse off the shelf pcb hidden in a shiny case. Everything is bespoke. That is what people are prepared to pay for.
It’s important companies that try to do things properly survive. I’m looking for a new source for my system, because my Linn Unidisk has died. Linn can’t supply a new laser, but to be fair, it is 18 years old. Unfortunately, two months later, my Linn 5125 amp also died, needs a new power supply. That amp is 20 years old, same age as my kids! I’ll be buying a Selekt DSM and fully expect it will be me that dies first.
Dog Day Sorry to say, Linn's attentions to details is not what it's used to be like. My Majik ds broke 7ish years old, kinos pre amp overheats, sismik amp broke, radikal has some issius whit power supply (aging rapidly), akubarik had loose elements at delivery,,, no bolts on isobarik elements,,,. My old hifi-rig Lk280's, Lk1, Active Kabers still sounds amazing. Thinking of replacing my Adsm whith a Naim Nova...
aye i had to replace my old nail cambridge azur cd player not high end but it could romp on typical digital problem but roksan came to the rescue after 16 years of constant playing enjoy the music....
Quality, Materials, Performance TOP, but Klimax DSM Costs Money € 30,000.00 and that is unfathomable to most mortals. Maybe they weren't even made for mortals.

if I didn't have a dCS DAC, I'd have a Linn.... that's about as big a compliment I can pay any DAC manufacturer.
