I’m going to take a moment in the comment section here to thank you for the content that you produce. I really enjoy spending my Sunday afternoons Watching Time of Grace on TH-cam.
For the majority of my life, I considered myself to be a Christian. In truth, I was not. For many years I struggled with addictions and didn’t see any harm in what I was doing. I didn’t see the consequences to my choices that would ultimately lead to pain for not only myself but also my family.
I woke up on Sunday, December 31 of this past year, in a very dark place. Realizing that I could no longer continue to live the way that I was living and making the choices that I was making, I found myself led to walk (or stumble as I was severely hung over) through the doors of a church that I had never been to and I listened to a sermon that would change my life. I didn’t give my heart to Jesus that day, but it was the steppingstone that I needed to change my life.
Two weeks later, I bought my first Bible and not knowing where to start, I downloaded the You Version app and clicked on a video reading series by Time of Grace and Mike Novotny on the book of Matthew. I know that this video series was supposed to take me 28 days, but I finished it in less than 2 weeks. That series was the kicker, the jump starter that I needed to dive into the Bible and become the person who God intended for me to be.
It’s been just over nine months since I gave up my addictions cold turkey. I have read the entire Bible cover to cover. I’ve read the gospels several times and many other books multiple times. I start my day with scripture and I meditate on scripture throughout each and every day. My family and I are now active and involved members of that church here in Texas. I have fully given my life to Christ, dying to myself every day knowing that my sins were crucified and that the Lord Jesus has given me salvation. Most recently, my wife and our youngest daughter were baptized.
Thank you for being a part of my story. I thank God for you in my prayers.
    Sincerely,
    Your brother in Christ, Ryan

Paraphrasing apologist Frank Turek, "Why am I a Christian? Because it's true."
