The miners did not switch labels on the jug that was labeled coca cola. It was a syrup jug used at the soda fountains from the 1930s. Same as the coffee jar. Great video as always. Thanks for taking us along.
Gly: "I'm not touching that pile, old dynamite is extremely dangerous, not worth it." Randy: Rifling through a pile looking for... wood? Dangit Randy! 🤣
Fun explore. Still laughing at "Come here Randy...poke it with a stick. Is it alive? Badgers are dangerous...they will chase you." I really enjoy the opportunity to see the mines. Thanks
One of my old favourite sayings was "well that's about as much fun as poo a stick" which roughly translate to the same as gly's verbal response to Randy about poking dead things with sticks
Really enjoyed the mad Skillz on the elbow cam at the beginning going down the ladder! 🤣 I'm amazed at the date tags you find......unfathomable how hard it would have been in 1936!!!!! 1918!!!! Wow!!!!
Just doesn't get any better than that. I want to see the continuation of this and how far it does go. Really surprised how much work was done in there. Stay safe.
4:22 - prank phone call in the 60's .. call a store and ask if they have prince albert in a can .. if they say yes you yell 'Well let him out he can't breathe!'
The green gallon jug with the Coke label is actually a Coca-Cola Fountain Syrup jug. It apparently was repurposed for oil. Anyway keep up the good work! This is addictive!❤️
You should let Randy host an episode. Gly, it would give you an opportunity to do the geology that your passionate about. Mr. M. On safety details and being the great personality that he is..
DEEPER ???? You're gonna need passports before long. You know, for where ever this comes out. Turns out Randy knows his stuff. Now I know why you were "always waiting on Randy" He's worth having around. And seem a decent man too. Nice work guys. TTFN
At 21:20 it said on the wall "Peter blew up"! Great job sending Randy ahead to poke that animal... reminded me of Marlon Perkins on Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom saying "and now Jim will see how big that Anaconda is".
Mr. GLY COOLNESS.....can't help but love you‼️ I love your excitement for life and mines. Those of us whose life isn't so exciting, totally live through your adventures. I applaud your knowledge, your coolness and your consideration for your viewers. Take care and be safe. Was worried if you felt any earthquakes and hoping you weren't in a mine. Can't wait for more content from week to week❤🙏🇺🇸
“Gly”: Thank you very much! No, the earthquake was about 135 miles from me and I didn’t feel anything when it occurred. I really enjoy bringing these videos to you and I’m happy your enjoying them yourself. Take care!
Very cool mine guys, all sorts of tunnels, Doesn't look like a mine cat. Gly you talk about mine cats one time I think. Badger weird. Thanks Gly and Randy for an awesome video.
Thank you so much for another awesome video great work nice to see more of Randy clear camera work like i was right there with you till next week stay safe from your Canadian family
I love watching your video's. Being in a wheelchair all I can do is watch others explore. It would be great to see you and Frank get together with Brent and explore his Cero Gordo mines. Maybe get TVR to join in. That would be very interesting.
Awesome Gly, glad to see you and Randy really giving it a go in this episode. Yea, I have commented that you never met a ladder you didn't like quite a few times and it still remains true. All of you take care and thanks for all you do for us. From Southeast Alabama.
Great episode, I guess it was bigger than expected, nice, I love seeing the neat artifacts it's very interesting. Looking forward to next weeks episode :)
This is probably a stretch but the "Peter blew up 3/2/18" could be a reference to WW1. March 2nd was the fall of Kiev and a day later Russia pulled out of the war. The same war that ended the Russian Empire established by Peter the Great. Might all be a coincidence but kind of interesting either way.
Ive been looking forward to this all week. Many many thanks for the upload. A very enjoyable channel to watch. Thanks from Leiston, Suffolk, UK. Jake. :)
I just love all your videos. ❤️ You are just so awesome at what you do.❤️ Love mr M also. You two are so funny together. Thanks for all the hard work you put in at these mines. Prayers for your safety.
I dont know how you dont get lost in those mazes I could never go in these mines but they do fascinate me. Thanks for making these videos. I hope mr M is ok Its been a few weeks since we have seen him .
It comes from WW2 , the original # he was some safety inspector at the shipyard and put his name on anything he had inspected. So the GIs started tagging places when they got somewhere new, just to say that Kilroy was here first! Lol 😆
Hi Gly & Randy, on that old door you found it had my birthday 11-29 which I found really cool only I wasn't born in 36. A very cool 2nd part to this amazing and very technical mine you guys had to find your way around. Thank you for sharing, much love. xx 💖
One of these days, you'll need to grab a bit of that Bickford fuse and test it out (away from the mine of course)! I think people would be surprised at how well that stuff stands up against time.
Pretty sure there was a Peter blown up a while ago, perhaps a Peter Banner, but that was not what was written there.. RIP Peter! At least he went out with a bang...
I explored ONESQUETHAW CAVE in NY .. it was hard and very low we had to belly crawl most of it.. think I'd rather go with you guys. I did get some vidio .. it's amazing what you do.. Stay safe
Hey gly randy cool mine few surprises to bad you couldn’t go lower but with out your equipment best to save for later day good stuff guy’s thanks for sharing an as always be safe 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Nonsense guys! You all watch too many fictitious movies and Roadrunner cartoons. Dynamite expires in 1 year after manufacture and most if not all of the nitroglycerin would have wept out decades before any of us were even born. Would be surprised if you could even chemically detect a trace of nitro left in any 1920s dynamite remnants. All that is left would be maybe nitrate residue in the clay sorbent.
love them Quaker Oats ..... cool pot to ....well you know hahahahaa .... Randy will look more like Slim if he grabs a bad stick of Dynamite ... we have seen dogs down at the 300 foot level and still can't figure out how they got there ....see ya on the winze
Dope on a Rope! That's just too funny. This was a cool mine and too bad you weren't more prepared to go down that last area. Always cool to see what awaits you. Kudos to Randy for braving the ladders and crawling up over the back fill. I know he's not crazy about the ladders.
Thanks, Gly and Randy! When you found the winze, and left it 'for another time', I was fearful you'd never get back to it! But next week's video should be exciting as heck, going down the vertical AND checking out the winze! Like the song says, "Anticipation, an-ti-ci-pa-yay-tion is makin' me wait..."!! 👍❤️👍
Coffee did come in jars in the 30's and 40's. My grandmother had a coffee jar from the 30's or 40's she would use to store coffee on her counter after she opened the can she bought it in. Also during the 80's you could get coffee in jars with a green plastic lid, but it was more of a decorative glass jar not one of these.
The miners did not switch labels on the jug that was labeled coca cola. It was a syrup jug used at the soda fountains from the 1930s. Same as the coffee jar. Great video as always. Thanks for taking us along.
I thought that was the case and that coffee jar maybe maxwell house?
And worth tons of money!
I just realized that I get up early before my son on Saturdays to watch this. Way better than Saturday morning cartoons!! lol
“Gly”: Back in the 70’s I would wake up early to watch Land of the Lost. Yeah, it’s kind of like that.
@@AbandonedandForgottenPlaces maybe you will find a Sleestak or 2 on one of your adventures! Loved LOTL too.
Gly: "I'm not touching that pile, old dynamite is extremely dangerous, not worth it."
Randy: Rifling through a pile looking for... wood?
Dangit Randy! 🤣
😂😂😂😂
Lol he headed for the door when randy started diggin
Military man. He should know what he's doing.
Fun explore. Still laughing at "Come here Randy...poke it with a stick. Is it alive? Badgers are dangerous...they will chase you." I really enjoy the opportunity to see the mines. Thanks
Where is Mr. M?
@@kennedy6644 At the end of the video Gly said he was in Oregon.
One of my old favourite sayings was "well that's about as much fun as poo a stick" which roughly translate to the same as gly's verbal response to Randy about poking dead things with sticks
Maybe the broken shovel was the cause of death for the badger lol
Good morning from Southeast South Dakota
Really enjoyed the mad Skillz on the elbow cam at the beginning going down the ladder! 🤣
I'm amazed at the date tags you find......unfathomable how hard it would have been in 1936!!!!! 1918!!!! Wow!!!!
And more than 100 years ago. There were Peoples working and mining there... And its 2021 now.... How fast time moving...
Gly and Randy great job! Awesome adventure! Missing Mr. M! Greetings from New Mexico!
Randy is like that kid in a toy store, he can’t help but touch everything! Great video Gly and Randy, stay safe.
“Gly”: The only way to keep his hands in his pockets is to first insert a pickle or a banana.
Thank You Randy, for crawling around for us. :)
Ahhhh my favorite part of Saturday mornings! Pop tarts and another installment of Abandoned and Forgotten Places with Gly Coolness!
Just doesn't get any better than that. I want to see the continuation of this and how far it does go. Really surprised how much work was done in there. Stay safe.
Stay safe Gly! Awesome explore!!
Thanks Gly. You keep outdoing yourself time and again. Thanks again for taking me along. Been with you from the start. Keep on keeping on

Thank God for Randy
21:16 Gly, it does not read "Peter Banner", ... it reads "Peter Blew Up" (I wonder if he was the guy handling the dynamite?)
“Gly”: I always see so much more when I’m editing as compared to when I’m in the mine. Your right, that’s what it says. 👍
Or Peter may have been the mine boss and he "Blew Up" or chewed all the miners out for being "Slackers" on 2/3/1918?
the good ol' *poke it with stick* never gets old
You always have me talking to the screen "DON'T GO DOWN THERE !!!!" I love your videos. 👍🏿

“Badger? Badger? We don’t need no stinking badgers!!” 🦡
