Really enjoy your videos Chris, love the music that you use, and your voice is always very clear. Thank you

thank you Lesley...i try to fit the music to the atmosphere of the place..The Red Lion wasn't frightening but had wafting presences around...

Thanks for the sub, by the way, Robert.
Well, what can I say. If there is one thing I would be terrified of doing alone, is a vigil in an old pub cellar. And I have had the "lights out" experience before, at our old town hall. During WW1, it was used as a hospital. Great video to watch as always, Chris.

i'm more scared of going into a Govan pub and ordering a pint 8) pretty much, spirits wont hurt you - the may scare you but thats it...the living however..... your town hall sounds an amusing venue - is it open to visit ?

@@British-Hauntings-and-History You do have a good point there, Chris. Sadly, our town hall isn't open unless something is going on such as charity coffee mornings, cinema nights etc.

i'll have to pick a coffee morning - get a black coffee and have a wander as much as allowed

@@British-Hauntings-and-History I suppose if you ask the designated hall custodian of the day, he/she might oblige.

Great video Chris, sounds like a fascinating place and very historic....not surprising that there's paranormal activity going on. I wonder if you have ever had a chance to visit the Grenadier pub at Hyde Park Corner in London, supposedly very paranormally active. Otherwise we wonder have you ever visited some of the jack the ripper sites and picked up any impressions? I had a strange experience whilst on a night ripper tour with Mrs Eoin some years back....I'll relate my story another day (getting tired!). Thanks for another great video...Best wishes from your Irish pal 👍 😀

i have tended not to go to the "famously haunted places" i have found those that i have visited were massively over hyped.... no, not been to any ripper sites, although we had relatives in Bethnal Green and i was brought up on tales of the Ripper

This is such a cool looking old building. I've never been there but I'd love to go see it. Pubs are always such atmospheric places to do investigations as they have so much history and places of high emotion. Can't say I'd want to be in that cellar though!

it is very sad to say that i'd rather be in the cellar than the bar...i don't do pubs - too many people for comfort

Pub cellars seem to crop up a lot. My ripper research shows a few being used as buisiness premises though how this worked in practice is anyones guess. Perhaps our friends just like their peace and quiet.

Jack the Ripper ?? another of my interests having been brought up in the East End

@@British-Hauntings-and-History George Chapman worked as a barber from the cellar of the White Hart public house though not at the time of the murders. I have been down there but it was an on the spot courtesy so I didn't linger.

Severin Klosowski... yes he was in the right area - George Yard, and he had some anatomical knowledge and surgical skill - but he was a poisoner and i don't think a leopard changes its spots that much..from ripper to poisoner - even though Aberline favoured him for the role of JTR ........ but it must be admitted -- he travelled to America with his wife in May 1890 setting up in Jersey City - - April 24th 1891 Carrie Brown ripped in New York -- May 1892 Chapman returns to London ....co-incidence hmmmmmm ????? - he remains a suspect

@@British-Hauntings-and-History I like Spitalfields and Whitechapel and look forward to every visit. Something about the area still attracts the odd radical and the prostitution remains despite the newer high income arrivals. Draw you own conclusions on that last point.

The best tales come from pubs simple. Bring back Chris Huffs Ghost stories. Loved that series

i have barely enough time to rework old videos ... not increase the workload..anything new will probably be in audio only format
