The most beautiful Phantom ever?

  • Is the Phantom 65 the most practical (and fun) boat in it's class?
James takes his first look at the Fairline Phantom 65 at it's show debut at the 2023 Düsseldorf Boat Show and is blown away.. In this first full tour James looks at the key features of this boat, its speed and the amazing level of detail in the finish of every element of the boat.
Full details can be seen here:
    fairline.com/yachts/phantom/65/
If you are interested in one of these boats, please get in touch as there will be limited availability for the new couple of years.
A few days after filming the Phantom 65 won the prestigious Motor Boat of the Year award at the Motor Boat & Yachting Awards held at Düsseldorf.
Here is what they had to say:
This may be Fairline’s first attempt at a sportsfly design but you’d never guess it from the way it looks, performs and feels. With those sleek, flowing lines, it strikes the perfect balance between elegance and sportiness, yet somehow still manages to pack in up to four cabins below deck and masses of sociable living space inside and out.
Even the flybridge itself, while compact by Squadron standards, has plenty of secure seating, sunpads and a proper wet bar, as well as a comprehensive outside helm station.
However, all of this would count for little if the driving experience failed to live up to Fairline’s usual high standards. Thankfully, it’s even better than we had anticipated, delivering effortless acceleration up to a top speed of 38 knots, responsive handling and the kind of refined, long-legged cruising that feels perfectly in keeping with that other legendary Phantom built by Rolls-Royce motor cars.
Last but by no means least, those impressive dynamic characteristics are backed up by sound practical thinking, a beautifully finished interior and reassuringly solid build quality.
As we said in our original test, the Phantom 65 really does feel like it offers the best of both worlds with the looks and driving characteristics of a traditional sportscruiser but also the comfort and practicality of a flybridge.

I must say since watching ur channel I have not been persuaded to try to buy a yacht 🛥️ of any size but what you have done is given me something better! The joy and happiness of flossing! Never done it before but is probably more pleasurable than forking out dough all the time for a boat! Flossing the s the way forward especially stern to berth on the med!

I assume to see there two horns, imagine what kind of laughter this could cause, if your comfortable sitting there, and your captain is about to give signals and scare with that the hell out of the passengers

This is the first yacht tour vid that made me laugh; more than once, too. I also appreciate the candor about ice makers using tanked water filled by public supply. It may be "safe" to drink. But, as your ice melts in your cocktail and you can see it's leaving floaters behind....
More attention to this presents an opportunity to both hardware manufacturers, like Dometic or ZeroSpot, to create 'water polishing' appliances that provide highly filtered water for drinking.
The RV industry, which parallels the yacht business in many respects, has addressed this in a few ways. Many RVs come equipped with conventional, or reverse osmosis filters to purify the external water supply. Some install a second faucet to provide purified drinking water. Some provide a facility that connects that second faucet to one of those blue water cooler tanks. (Heh....Poland Spring on tap!)

    • @Boatscouk
      @Boatscouk  ปีที่แล้ว +1

Yes we can fit filter systems but they need regular use/maintenance. The bag of ice never lets you down 😊

I have loved sailing and boats all my life. I have come to the realisation that the relentless production of leisure craft are contributing to pollution and destruction of marine life. Just look at the marinas around the world full of boats only used for a short period every year. A boat produces nothing and will constantly consume for the rest of its life.
