The saddest part of my is that I never saw him in person. I was too young and in a different part of the world. The greatest comedic mind ever. Mr. Andy Kaufman. 🕯💚
The way he gets the crowd to practicallly understand his talk, is funny. How he pretends to insult or make fun of the girl, then seems almost apologetic, its just poking fun at the acts other comedians have. He was so so funny.
His was the comedy of the absurd. Once, after a performance in Philadelphia, he put the whole audience on double decker buses and treated them to ice cream. Absurd.
@brushford001 When I was 29, I had to do something similar to this... I played a girl who so high on some kind of drug that she couldn't speak properly, and I had no scripted words, but was just expected to say random syllables non-stop for 5 minutes just like this and act crazy... it sounds so easy, but WOW was it hard!! It was THE hardest role I've ever played, and when I see him do this so easily, I find it to be very impressive. X-)
@BKNYflyS you shouldn't feel bad for not laughing. You must keep in mind the era...and the fact that you either got Andy and was a fan or you didn't. There was no gray area. He was talented in the sense that he could fool anyone and just when you thought you caught on, he'd throw another curve. He was child-like but that was who he was. I was so young when he died but it still stumps me today. You should watch Man On the Moon if you haven't by now.
No, idiots explaining his schtick and thinking their realization it's deliberate makes them smarter than everyone else in the world who thinks it's unfunny. You fanboys are the ones he left around. You're the joke.

The greatest song-and-dance man that ever lived
Dude spent his life running social experiments on crowds and got paid. He was TH-cam before TH-cam was TH-cam 😂
My fave Andy Performance! ✌️On Andy. 💗
I dont think ive ever laughed out as loud watching a TH-cam video as much as this one.
the man could light up a crowd, without saying a word.
Nobody but Andy Kaufman would even attempt this, much less pull it off.
I've watched this and the shorter bongo clip from the Carson show a few dozen times. Funny as hell!
The king of comedy
Smiling so hard… saint of comedy!
sooooooo great!
it was part of a special called "Variety 77" broadcast at the start of 1978

Ont pouvait Rire de tout Aujourd'hui malheureusement chaque humoriste risque perpète 🤗😂👍🥴🫣🫵💖👏🌹💕
I see where Reggie Watts gets his act from
I would give anything to pull Andy back from the dead and get him and Reggie to do a show together.
Exactly what came to mind as well, it's interesting going back and seeing how people of the past influenced the great minds we have today
I miss Mr. Kaufman. I was so sorry to hear of his dying, just like I was hearing about Sam Kinison. They were my two favorite comedians.
3:40 is the moment I came for.
This is funny and I don't know why.
No wonder where minions language came from 😂 genius 👌
Ibida 2016
4:32 theres Bob Zmuda, Andy's co-conspirator, in the front row all the way to the right

LeMonS531 whos not laughing
I don't know if this is the dumbest comedy routine ever, or the most brilliant ever.
It's a little bit of both lol
4:14 was that little skip and audio pitch an intentional part? It was perfectly timed.
Ace Ventura born here
@worthlessprotoplasm
That pretty much describes Andy's work in a single sentence.
Anyone know where you can buy this shirt?
So this is what it feels like to be bilingual
Anybody have the lyrics?
Ibidya.
what is this about??
@66richardson
"Si?"
i can talk in gibberish too…
@BKNYflyS Andy Kaufman wasn't a comedian. Also, you are the reason that he's funny. Does that help clear it up?
Rokaroo he was a song and dance man that made us laugh does that clear that up

Lol
sims speak anyone?
He was cool and different but you cant get away with this shit now. U have to be serious in the industry.
Liberal PC Nazism.
What's this utter shit they're playing over my traffic report?
Maybe that's because he wasn't a comedian.
