Wondering how microphone pick up is affected by changes in head position during you recording. Do you post process much to adjust gain? It's a wonder how you fit everything into your day/week.
I generally don't do a ton of post processing unless I'm particularly loud and the mic clips then I may adjust the volume. I will often purposely adjust my position or posture (like moving away from the mic when I get loud) while I am recording to try and avoid this, but even then sometimes I'm just a little too loud. If I turn my head sometimes it will become quieter, but I try my best to stay in front of the mic centrally as best as possible. Because all my recordings are live it doesn't always happen (I like the magic of the mistakes made during live recordings - and I make a lot of them) and I like to think that I improve a little bit with each time I record!
