TSWANA TRADITIONAL WEDDING | MAGADI -PATLO -LOBOLA PROCEEDINGS (with subtitles)

A traditional wedding culturally is firstly discussed between the the groom and brides parents and elders of the family. The grooms family brings gifts on a date agreed upon between the two families for the lobola to be paid for the bride to be and all family members join hands in the preparations of the day. This is one important component of the Setswana culture and if lobola is not given the grooms family cannot take the bride home with them as they believe the marriage isn't sealed.
