Try to get handshake to level two as fast as possible you will get level 3 lancer vests. Anything below 3 is basically useless 3 is where rifle protection starts
I wondered why the armor ranking was so weird but now I get it. It’s cool they base it off of reality bc otherwise they could make it easier to understand by going with conventional ranking that you see in games. Like for example green, blue, purple, orange tier armor
What I’ve noticed though is you have less of a chance of taking bruising or other forms of non-penetrating damage. I get knocked out more often with steel armor, all of it is just anecdotal
@@tristanhicks9824 steel doesn't absorb impact unlike ceramic idk about kevla but even kevla should absorb more energy steel doesn't slow down the bullet it immediately stops it but will cause u pain since its not absorbing the energy if u get what i mean
Only problem I think there is, is that IIIA only stops handguns. Any 5.56 or 5.45 will go through it. III does stop all of these including 7.62s. Assuming that game follows real life.
@@petercreemers4964 IIIA definitely stops 7.62 and 5.56 in the game but a lot of the ammo is soft point so I dunno how much an impact that makes. I don't know enough about ballistics lol.
Bullets penetration is something I want to experiment with next to get more of an understanding. Think we may need to get together to do this Hudsz and test different ammo with armor value. At least for the main used ammo like 762, 556 and what ever the mosin uses etc
Can you guys please help me? I don’t like Tarkov, because I am too bad to get good guns and the right type of ammunition. It feels like I am shooting at a tank and the pebbles fall to the ground. For me I can’t get into it and for me it feels unfair. Is it like that in Gray Zone too? Do I need a good gun with the right type of ammunition or can I kill someone with normal ammunition just as good as someone who is a pro and has a stash full of money, armors and penetration ammunition?
Hard to say what the outcome will be 4 days into the wipe but the game has decent weapons available at start, they cheap and you can earn money very easily by doing the missions. There is better ammo to buy when you level up traders, also the game has both a PvP server and a PvE server, the character you make can switch between either server without losing progress and swapping to a different character. So basically if you had a bad time in PvP, lost gear and money. You can switch to PvE and do the quests with no worry of PvP and gain money back. Hell if you don’t like PvP at all, you can just play PvE only
@@SiNisterFPS Oooh ok! That does sound good. I do like PvP but not if I am losing like 80-90% of the times and I lose all the progress with using everything I had until I’m naked. Then you’re fighting against pros or others that are stacked and you just sit there trying but dying haha. Doesn’t feel good for me. If that happens i can switch to PvE only with my same progress and well, get back up to then get into PvP again with proper equipment? That would be a cool approach to it atleast for the bad players haha. Thanks for answering!
@@xVongolaXth yeah exactly that dude, it gives you the option to do what you want in terms of PvP or pve. Lvl 2 traders open up to some decent ammo and pre gun builds. I have a video about a decent m4
Loving you informative videos, I find them extremely useful as the game does lean towards you finding your own way. Keep them coming 👍🏼🏴 PS, the gun mod video was brilliant, I’d never have figured that out otherwise!

Recon Plate Carrier (III+) seems to be bugged. Far more consistent results with III vs Tiger Bay AI.

Yeah it was confusing at first but after doing some research and finding this, it’s not too bad to understand :-)
Steel Armor types is more durable and will take more hits than the ceramic types as well. So your durability will remain higher with steel per hit.

Really good video dude. Getting full coverage is way more important than armor level
Yeah exactly, another thing I actually forgot to put which could factor a little though not as important is weight.

Hello, this also applies to helmets?
Yes 🙂
If 'durability' of vest is damaged (eg 20%) can it be repaired? or do you throw away and buy a new one?
I don’t think it can be repaired at the moment but presume it will be added

Thanks mate 🙂
Where do you even get tier 4 armour?
Have not seen it in the game yet, but I recon it will be added :-)
So is lll+ bet then just normal lll
Yes
Thank you

What about IIA+
I say in the guide
IIA IIA+ || II+ IIIA IIIA+ III III+
whats up with the clickbait image?
Video is talking about what is the best armor, the picture has some armor with text saying Armor guide. What is click bait about it lol?
