    Excellent! But I wonder why my output gives me too large value to consider as Celsius whenever I compute the LST following these steps, one after another. Pls, did u do something to the bands before the lst computation??? 👍

    • @Wow-oz4ym
      @Wow-oz4ym ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@salamander5969 okay, I see! But I also notice that the higher values of the LST are around areas with vegetation and Water bodies, while the areas with built-up density have lower values. This in reality shouldn't be true. So, how do I invert the LST values pls? 🙏🏾

      @@Wow-oz4ym i completed these steps, and as you did, i also saw high temp. values that not considerable.

    • @ARCH_CSDL
      @ARCH_CSDL ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Wow-oz4ym but there are several factors that could explain this phenomenon:
      The time of day when the LST data was captured is crucial. Vegetation, such as in green spaces and farmlands, can heat up quickly under direct sunlight but also cools down rapidly after sunset. In contrast, built-up areas tend to retain heat longer due to the urban heat island effect. If your data was captured during midday or early afternoon, it's possible that the vegetation areas were at their peak temperature, while the urban areas had not yet reached their maximum. Check the metadata and find when the data was captured on that date (Scene_Center_Time) and then convert it from UTC to your local time. If it is early morning, then it makes sense.

    can we using NDBI instead of NDVI? whats the difference?

    • @ariaizaz4240
      @ariaizaz4240 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      from what I learned ndvi has a focus on vegetation while ndbi focus on built-up land cover. NDVI stands for Normalized Difference Vegetation Index and NDBI stands for Normalized Difference Built-up Index.
