Nice to see the lights of walking street. Sad that there are not many foreigners around. Don't think any of the bars there are earning enough to pay the electricity bill, let alone salaries for the staff.
Unlike Thailand once the Philippines open for travel it will get flooded with foreigners along with home sick Filipino's. I am sure those first few months open it will be crazy, so I am going to wait a bit.
Once tourism does reopen inflated prices are going through the roof on Walking Street. Don't be surprised if barfine's are over 5,000 peso's and hotels prices double.
If they could have seen Balibago in 1980….then time traveled to 2020…the Tourists…would be in shock…it was still crazy and worth a visit for many years… but so much of the diversity of the 70s and 80s and 90s is gone…i like the simple old bars before the go go bars and AC came into town….wished i had seen the 70s full on…there will never be another Subic City or Angeles in this World….like Atlantis /gone

Thanks for the Vid… i spent a lot of Time in that area…my old 2nd home… first visit was 1981…, lived there from 91 to 2000…. visited a good bit 2003 to 2014….last time in Subic Bay was 2016…..but not since… always envied the Guys retired there but now i am Retired but have no desire to see the grand old Shit Hole in decay.. good vid.
My first time there was in 2001 then again in 2007 then 2013 I miss my trip from 2001 the dirt roads and all the retired Vietnam vets and friends I made I’m and x veteran too but I was 34 then know 53 I mis those days

only indoors need to put on a face shield , but perhaps they are lazy and do not take them off. often i see how they ride a motorcycle without a helmet, but in a face shield.
