In this video, I play with different layouts for my Best in Black Barbie Doll apartment diorama. Tell me which one is your favourite. Thanks for watching. Please give this video a thumbs up and don't forget to subscribe. Have an awesome day! #dioramas #gingerlola #barbievideos
cool, thank you :) i think no.2 is my favourite :) i'm going to have to change the flooring :) i just got another table for my craft space, so i can have 2 dioramas set up at the same time, but don't have enough of the shelving paper i used in this apartment, and i can't remember where i got it, probably the dollar store, but checked a few, couldn't find it, too bad, it's my favourite, because the scale is right.... i did find another shelving paper, but its darker, but i think it'll pass the 1:6 scale test :)
Wow, thank you soooo much :) yah not liking the tablecloth too much either, colours are throwing me off, even if it kinda matches the sofa... found some fabric last week at a garage sale i think will be perfect :)
Ginger, I enjoyed your video today. The living room is tight, but yes- you need the fireplace. It makes it look really classy with a fireplace (in my opinion). I love how you adorned the table with the ornament hooks. Looks good. You are a very talented doll crafter. I love how you made all the little things for the table. My fav is the horse's head. Yes, I do like the second layout (although I still like fireplaces). Do not cut out doorways- just put up a faux door. Personally I still like #2. You did a great job!!!!
Thank you so much :) yah, i do miss the fireplace, it's gotta go back...what i need is a bigger table, the one in the video i think is 39" and i have a 47" table i can switch it with....8" will make a huge difference, but i don't have anymore of the shelf paper i used as flooring and it's the perfect scale. xo
thank you so much :) last one, cool, i'm actually starting to like that one now too, but i think i need to remove the console table and maybe the rectangular dining table?? i like it because the fireplace is back in the apartment .... i think i may try the other table in a #short video this week :)
Thank you so much :) i'm loving creating for these dioramas, i do have a lot of dollhouses i want to makeover as well, but having too much fun with these :) my next dioramas are for marilyn monroe and elizabeth taylor, two adult collector dolls i have :)
cool, that was my original favourite, but i like that number 2 gets me closer to the kitchen for photos and short videos :) still a work in progress :)
No. 2 looks the roomiest. I like the suggestion of a faux door, but you could also assume it's in the invisible fourth wall. But the fridge door handle is always going to be banging that sculpture. It's a good place for soft art, like tapestry or a printed hanging, not something breakable.
i like the invisible fourth wall idea but really like the realistic feel of doors, i think for now, i'll go with the fourth wall :) the door wouldn't be faux, it would be a 'real' door, and the other side of the wall would be part of the bedroom, i think what i need is a bigger table :) but i don't have anymore of the flooring shelf paper and i love it, only one i had that worked for the scale, i'm launching my etsy shop again with lots of yarn wall hangings :)
I liked the 2nd myself. All of them worked though, since you have great taste! This is the beauty of miniatures. I'll never own my own home (unless I win a lotter) except this way
Thank you so much :) so much fun creating these dioramas, you're going to love it :) just be patience with yourself and your inner mini architect will come out :)
i'm making some changes to the living room, i need to match the same flooring thats in the bedroom, so i'm thinking i have to find a way to get that fireplace back in there, plus its another space for mini decor :)

very pretty that last one. :)......but the look on that dolls face when you cut off his hand had me in tears lol.
lol :) thank you :)
Layout # 4 is my favorite; it looks so roomy. layout 2 is a close second for me.

You are a genius! Love everything but the tablecloth. Without it, it would look like there was more room. Your creativity it awesome!
