Thanks for such informative lecture. Does the I:E ratio always 1:1 ? meaning that both inspiratory and expiratory times based on 3 time constant?

No the I:E ratio is dependent on the expiratory time constant which determines the expiratory time then I:E is determined from respiratory rate and expiratory time
