In from the UK. The only reason I heard of Cleveland was Harvey Pekar and the Cleveland Indians/guardians. But this and the diner video really makes Cleveland stand out. It seems like a very working class place, sort of like Lincolnshire and Yorkshire here. Not a rich or trendy place, but full of really cool people
i lived in metro Buffalo,ny and have never been to Cleveland !! You need to pull in those people for their business, how about bus them in?? feed them, shopping, entertain them, take them back home, a 1day trip! this is a great show!! 😊
@40:55. that corned beef sandwich rivals the old Carnegie Deli, on 7th Ave. and 56th st in NY. A TH-cam the proprietor, Mr. Levine, shows Joan Nathan how to eat the monster sandwich. Sadly, the deli closed.
Hi New Day Cleveland! Great show..I'm from Boston ...did not know the food culture in your city. Looking forward in visiting and experiencing your great city! Curtis
The comments on this TH-cam video are hilarious. There are maybe 100 different ways to run a deli restaurant. Taste in food is a lot like taste in art, some people like it and some people don’t.
Apricot and peach chutney - c'mon that's for squids who don't want deli food. What about Corky and Lenny's? The originals! It been a while, but I have fond memories of spending a lot of time noshing away in one of their comfortable booths. Please don't tell me they closed.
We had a Jack's Corned Beef Deli here in Baltimore but it folded...Sad ass City for real for real. Day to day lifeless, unenergetic, non-thriving place here.
@Squirrel Sauteed chicken breast tossed with roasted Hungarian peppers, julienne onions, diced tomatoes and spinach. Served over a rustic potato pancake.
Not every place in Cleveland does that. Yes there are some very midwestern wasps here but there also a lot that try to stay true to their ethnic roots as well.
The spoon deli joint is far too marvel comic to produce anything edible. Sandwiches named after movies? Come on. That burger looked like a swamp creature.
Keep it about delis don't throw in a full service restaurant because your friends work there or own it, there are few true delis in this show, most of them were restaurants or diners.
Man. Since when was 30 minutes a proper lunch? Even on the production line I had an hour for lunch... when I could get free to actually HAVE lunch! Still. An hour.
I have had chicken salad almost in every states of United states. To be honest with you no one knows how to make chicken salad the right way. The best chicken salad is made by Julia child. Any other chicken salad is garbage. If yours is as good as Julia then I Bow, if not, then trow it in Trash.
nothing worse then canned soup which he said they serve! no deli or restaurant should ever serve anything canned! make stuff fresh and homemade. I don't eat at this kind of place.
We NYers have ALWAYS maintained, loud and proud as always, that "WE'RE THE DELI CAPITAL OF THE WORLD!". CLEVELAND?... REALLY? Jeez. That's like the YANKEES losing to the INDIANS in the AL Championship game! Unthinkable!
love this show. thank you!!
This show is great I miss the show & cast
This is the greatest. I live in Canada and now Cleveland is on the list. Great job

I miss New York deli sandwiches piled high with pastrami, corned, beef, roast, beef, fresh baked turkey and they delivered 24 hours a day
This segment is making me think of planning a weeklong trip to Cleveland. This food is making me hungry.

THANKS. MEOWW.
I love George's Kitchen, Joe's Deli and Restaurant, and Fragapane's, on the west side. I'm sure the East Side has great places too, of course.

Cleveland? For GOOD deli? Who knew?!!!
I went to this deli about 3 weeks ago and got treated like crap by an old guy behind the meat counter. He gave good service to the white man

Corky and Lenny's is the best deli in Cleveland

Tender Canadian fillet blessed with our house Aspen spice and broiled to perfection. Topped with a garlic tomato melange and parmesan cheese
@Squirrel Sauteed chicken breast tossed with roasted Hungarian peppers, julienne onions, diced tomatoes and spinach. Served over a rustic potato pancake.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Lettuce and tomato on corned beef and pastami? Why not just add some mayo? Only in the mid-west would this be called a deli.
Not every place in Cleveland does that. Yes there are some very midwestern wasps here but there also a lot that try to stay true to their ethnic roots as well.
Nothing Italian if it is not fish Friday

Ok only attracting the same people families will not increase your business
Huh?
If they only attract the same group of clients then they will not grow
A couple "OF" days NOT: A couple Days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No gloves?! Claw fingernails that touch the food... Nasty!!
Rachel J. Yea your right nasty
Ethnic Jewish rye ? Germans invented rye bread. Not jews
There are German Jews. Check out the documentary The Deli Men.
My guy...WHERE is yo other glove? Touched all on those bad boys! And STOP talkin over the food!
