I used to work at a quicklube, and the filters we used were the worst. Im talking $.63 made in china (even the cheap walmart oil filters are made in usa) filters that were exposed to the elements. I saw mold in some of them. And my boss would always get mad when I took my time and did the job well (cleaning off the spill, and pre filling the filter). Whenever someone asks about oil changes, I say either take it to a dealer/good mechanic or do it yourself.
Perhaps buy a spare oil filter cover to have in case the old one breaks? Its nice to be able to grab one from the parts cabinet, instead of needing one in a pinch.
Has anyone else had a problem getting the filter cover off? I went to change the oil on my cobalt and I couldn't get the filter cover loose. Is it ok to use a breaker bar or am I going to break the cover?
This video is EXCELLENT. Straight talk prices included. Glad I came here. Thank you sir (I see by your plate your in Germany) so Danke.
The prices might have fluctuated a tad since the release, but relatively speaking still accurate.
Nice job and thanks!
Thank you.

Thats why I change my own oil.

I haven’t broken a cover yet but I guess it never hurts to be too prepared.
A better socket for the oil filter cover is a 32 mm low profile socket.
I love mistakes it is how we learn. Thanks
You’re welcome.

What two buttons you hold?
The dealer says we are to use standard 5 w 30 not synthetic
Feel free to to use whatever your dealer tells you to use

I do my own, simply because I don't have to interact with the monkeys that work at quick oil change places.
I’d never considered dealing with people as a major issue. Some have had bad experiences.
Wrong I work there it's Mobil One High Milage Full Synthetic for that price
Ok
