    How do you reel in the outside board with a fish when you have 3 boards on each side?

    • @ThenextbiteTvShow
      @ThenextbiteTvShow  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You have 2 options. Either drop back the two boards without fish. Just hit them to free spool. Then reel from side of boat or under the lines of other two rods. Or drop back board with the fish on and swing around the two other boards and fight fish from back of boat by motor. Make sure to keep tension on board as you drop it back. This tip explains little more. th-cam.com/video/4ueWku4tBv8/w-d-xo.html

      @@ThenextbiteTvShow do these techniques work for crankbaits and crawler harness?

    • @ThenextbiteTvShow
      @ThenextbiteTvShow  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      yes and no. Crank baits when you drop them back tend to float up (each baits different, some sink, some float, other stay level) . Crawlers will drop down. So if fishing crawlers suspended 10 feet or more off the ground you should be fine. If fishing crawlers foot off the bottom then you will want to drop outside board back and swing around other 2.

      Rod Fenwick 7 foot HMG Medium Action Rod. Korey is using an old abu line counters. The new ones have digital line counters on them. www.basspro.com/l/line-counter-fishing-reels?q=line%20counter%20reel Penn also makes pretty good reels (mid range). Also budget and good reel are cabalas depth masters reels.

    Corey, do the same summer spots produce in winter on your hometown lake, any advice would be great.

      On normal lakes early ice. any weeds or sharp break lines are usually best. Then during late ice pinch point (Funnel areas) are good as well as mid lake humps, flats. Sometime deep holes are good. But look for flats on the edge of structure seem to hold more fish. On shallow lakes like Beaver Dam. Feeder creeks, Pinch point by islands. Deep holes near points. Places to check out.

      @@ThenextbiteTvShow Thanks for the advice! Past, present, and future! I do ok in front of my house on stoney point, down to starkweather but seem to loose em this time of year. It's a lot of water to cover and it's so much easier to track em down in the boat.

      yes ice trolling is a lot of work. Easier with group of guys to cover a lot of water. As warms up feeder creeks will be good as bait fish move to eat all the bugs washing down the snow run off.

    What weight system are you using? And weight size?

    • @ThenextbiteTvShow
      @ThenextbiteTvShow  ปีที่แล้ว

      the guys really like using off shore tackle snap weights. Very use to use. I guessing 1 to 2 oz depending on depth. You want to try to keep line at 45 degree angle best you can. Use your motor speed to go up over humps, slow speed to go down hump. (weight and bait will rise and fall with speed of boat). To find the depth easy way is set weight down to feel bottom them rise up 1 to 2 feet. then click on board.
