I was once in the gym about to hit my top set of squats with a weight that would qualify as a PR. This song comes on as I'm unracking, and right before I'm about to "sit" into my first rep, the bass drops. I'm immediately flooded with a powerful euphoria mixed with agitation that can only be described as a feeling of pure, primal aggression. The only thing I remember thinking is, "my God, it's absolutely absurd how good this song sounds. Like, how the fuck can a combination of electronic audio samples assorted into a specific rhythm make me feel so powerful?" After completing the first rep, the next thought that came was, "What the fuck was I worrying about? This is light weight! I should've added more!" Needless to say, music is a potent drug that simply cannot be underestimated (and I can't willingly underestimate it anymore, after this experience). What initially seemed like a considerable challenge (a "rep max" weight on the bar) literally felt like a breeze in the midst of this song (I actually believed I could've thrown on another 5-10% of my max on the bar for the same amount of reps). Rezz always has the sickest drops, but I think this song takes the cake in terms of absolute absurdity mixed with awe and inspiration.
ViktorDenisov I mean, creativity is not something you can't measure. If an artist is more innovative and is different from anyone else, they're creative. And I think it's very clear to see where the creative input in this song came from
Why do you have to get so negative about Rezz when they COLLABED on the song. Both their creativities we’re poured into the song and both are good in their own right.
I understand what you're saying, but it is very poorly worded. kotek is far more creative, and probably did more to the weirder parts to this track, but this is still in rezz's style, and includes a lot of her weirder styles included. there is no real way of saying who had more influence, but rezz clearly had a lot of influence, including the weirder parts.
Im a little bored by this Album. Expected something harder than this.... Sure it's a solid album but there is no Track that completely blows me away. In Mass Manipulation every Track was a different Story and trippy as hell. Sure this album has some elements of this in it but it's all to mechanical has less soul than the last one... Just an opinion
People really do have different tastes. For me, Spider on the moon and The Crazy 1's are a little uninteresting whereas Life and Death, Hex, and Teleportal are my favorites of this album and definitely carry the tone and emotion I'm into. To each their own!
