What is it about those ladies from the 1970s...they STILL look so good! This woman and Olivia Newton-John were probably my first loves...a gorgeous natural brunette and a gorgeous natural blonde.
Loved her since I was a 10 year old boy in November 1975 watching her pilot with my family. Back then it was just the Friday night movie of the week on ABC network. Its been said a billion times since but my impression was this is the most beautiful girl I ever saw in all my 10 years . And still the same. Also she still spins great. No other girl imitating her ever does it right.
I love listening to her speak. I was a child when "Wonder Woman " the tv show was on television. Now 56, I realise now the relevance and the impact of this show for the advancement of women in all aspects. Back in the mid-1970s there were many things women couldn't have, such as apply for a bank loan, have her own bank account as a married woman, or apply for a credit card. She had to ask her husband. Also, a married woman couldn't keep her family name. In my part of the world, in the Canadian province of Quebec, a woman's right to keep her family last name has been a legal right since 1981. The creator of Wonder Woman was Professor Marsden in the United States back in the 1940s had little to do with the official version of the US American federal government wanting women to more sports, like tennis, to keep fit in a changing world. The reality of it would shock many. Professor Marsden believed in the advancement of women back in his day. In the movie version of Wonder Woman called "Professor Marston's Wonder Women" made several years ago, we see his fantasies. including BDSM, polyamory play out, which went against the morals of the 1940s. Back to Lynda Carter, to me, she remains the only real Wonder Woman. She has grace, beauty, talent, and charisma. Lynda Carter inspires and reminds us that beauty is not skin deep. She has aged so well in spite of so many personal challenges. Gal Gadot is a misscast, is a pale version of the original 1970s version in Lynda Carter. Gadot isn't believable as Wonder Woman. Sorry if there are any fans out there. This is the truth. I was shocked to read that Gal Gadot only made 300,000 dollars for the first movie, whilst the movie earned almost 1 billion USD. Just like Christopher Reeve in Superman (1978). In the mid-1990s facing tragedy, he became more his role in spite of his serious disability. I personally find that there are now too many superhero movies. People become tired of them. There is an overload. Grit and hard work are replaced by very expensive high tech. Lynda Carter, wishing you continued good health and a long career! Thank you. Godspeed. ❤
There was a 1979 episode of Wonder Woman where Diana Prince goes undercover as a singer at a recording studio. Rick Springfield and Judge Reinhold are in it too
two beautiful women would of like to been their live, i wonder no pun attended if the heads of Warner bros were listening about what Lynda Carter said about having a women direct a wonder women movie
