I had to put my beautiful dog down yesterday and I played this song in honor of him. I found him at the pound 14 years ago. He was a stray and apparently his previous owners dumped him off in the middle of nowhere. He was smart, though, and found help for himself, though he was very skinny and had old injuries on him. He was a white boxer. Most breeders euthanize the white boxers because they have autoimmune disease, but lucky for us he managed to escape that. He was beautiful. At the pound, all the dogs were barking wildly, but he was sitting there, tall, straight, and proud. He may have been scared, but he wasn't going to show it. He looked like an angel to me. He was the only dog I saw. I have multiple sclerosis, also an autoimmune disease. He was my helper dog. I don't think I could have gotten through MS without him. He was such a gentle dog. I learned so much from him. I will love him forever and will never forget him. The world won't be the same without him in it.
If I learned anything in this lifetime, I learned that regret is the worst kind of pain that a human could ever live with. if you have an opportunity to make things right with someone you love or someone that hurt you take that chance, and make it right because once they’re gone all you have left is regret and regret never goes away: it stays, and it eats at you like a cancer. Very pretty song losing a pet is a great loss another will never be the same but there are plenty stuck at the pound waiting to love you and loyalty like no other in one month I had to put all 3 of my jack Russel’s down it’s been almost 2 years I got 1 jack russell one dog they told me would be 35 pds now is about 70 pds another rescue who pisses everywhere jack/chiwawa I’m working with them cuz I need them as much as they need me and to boot the jack not only pisses he is deaf I didn’t have the heart to take him back he’s been trying to lift his leg on pee pad at least he’s tryin if you can get another you should God may send you just what you need my husband didn’t want another jack because of his loyalty but he Loves her and the others it’s impossible not too.Bless all the pet lovers til you meet again
