The 1st circuit is very strange. The touch works in a totally different way. And its very sensitive too. I made one after watching this.

Schematic 1 is wrong. LED is inversing polarized.
@maju mundur exactly. I know Very well how 4066 works. If pin 9 will be ground when switcing occours, the KATHODE of the LED must be connected there, not the anode. Can you see it now?

I have confusion on the 4007 diode terminals. Which side is positive and which is negative? Some says the silver band portion is positive and the black portion is positive but in diagram it shows the opposite. Please clear my confusion.
Dear friend remember ,,,,,, diode silver side is cathode (-)and other side is anode (+) ,,,,, if we connect positive battery terminal to anode side we can get voltages output from cathode side ,,,,,,

It s not easy because you must think that is a capacitor and not a common resistence ..
It is possible using an LED level meter IC and you can use the variation in resistance in the fuel gauge. If you are really keen give a reply.
can i used 12v to powering up? for led, im gonna put selinoid relay for activate high current?. first video
