But this is what I want to say, since most people are like why waste all this time on things? Jade playing the violin in the auto graveyard etc. Myself, and I say this as a writer, I knew a few things were just out of place. Why did Miranda have a violin? Jade can play a violin? Aren't we wasting time? No. Alfred Hitchcock once said that if you introduce a gun into a film in Act I, it must be fired in Act II. That is what is happening now. The violin scenes weren't wasted. The Many Worlds Theory tells how each universe is separated by vibrations. By the way, you mentioned the kids and a few others having scars on their foreheads. The bottle tree has a scar on it. I have a theory about that, I think the town encourages that divide in so many ways. I've started it over twice and taken notes as I learn more and more. And there's a lot of potential evidence that there are subtle wedges placed between people, the closer they are, the more it happens. It isn't obvious it's anything other than their relationship at first, but the more you go back and watch, the more you see how the town encourages separation and lack of trust.

I think the town can recreate things from people's memories. I think that's the explanation for Tabitha seeing the bracelet in 3 different places. And the cicadas(Sara's brother was afraid of them) So I believe the town created the buildings from people's memories. That would also explain why there's a hotel sign and a hotel pool but no hotel.

Sorry about your friend. I lost mine last year and still cry about it randomly about as an almost 40 year old man. but here is my thoughts on the numbers and Jade playing the violin next episode. I'm not sure if the numbers pertain to frets or violin chords... But music may play a huge role in fromville. Also I need to address a poop portion of theories out there: there are no sleeper cells, or moles or anything like that. I think theorizers build up all these crazy theories based on world building they've done with the community. Then what the writers actually went for is a letdown because we've spent weeks in a fantastical theorized version of the show versus the very simple, albeit mysterious world the writers created. When the showrunners said we will feel dumb because the answers were trickled in at the beginning of the show, I KNOW that that will lead to disappointment. That doesn't point to sleeper agents or people in the town working with then entities, it will be as simple as there was a game that was to be played, the clues were set forth for the players who instead, stayed at level 1 and the clock ran out. Server wipe, restart. The answer is in the truck with the map of fromville that Victor and Tabitha keep sitting next to but no one mentions in the show. if someone mapped it, it is very possible that they should have been getting stocked in town and then venture forth through the layers of the forest, uncovering the secrets as they went. some would die but if they managed to share info, they'd eventually set the vengeful spirits of the kids free and cease the need for this place to exist. They just never played the game. Boyd played a little and got the talismans as loot.

FROM the beginning (see what I did there?) this show has reminded me a bit of the lovecraftian story of Hastur, The King in Yellow. I thought it was a bit of a stretch, with the last piece of fiction I’ve seen being True Detective that did it any justice, but hearing about an upcoming character called “the man in yellow” has peaked my interest. I think at the very least they take inspiration from Hastur, as his story is about a play, where the characters slowly descend into madness out of fear. He’s known as the god of shepherds and his true form appears to be like the cave painting of the octopus monster in the show, with the play taking on heavy themes of destiny vs design, “thresholds” within the psyche, and breakpoints in the mind. The characters are slowly driven mad by their fears and minor yet relentless breaks from reality that become more profound over time. Edit: oh and the characters are doomed to repeat the cycle over and over

I stopped going to ALL of the FROM pages/group. I only follow a few handful of ppl on TH-cam. Those who don't support spoilers being posted before handa handful on TH-cam. Folks who knowingly post spoilers on formats where folks aren't necessarily looking for them are lower than low. It's like they get off on destroying someone else's enjoyment.
So my question is when Sara killed Nate after being provoked by an entity,everyone blamed her. Now Elgin took a step by being provoked by the kimono women and he would be tortured in next ep. But when Fatima killed Tillie after being provoked by monster baby everyone tried to save her, and no one said shit. Wow what a great show.

I was reading about Norse mythology lastnight and from what I read, I think this show is based on that. There are a few stories which parallel events in this show. I suggest everyone does some reading on Norse stories and you'll see what I mean

Hey geek, there is two closely related lore i have found within this series.. 1. in japanese lore the yokia: komono lady and the children are prominatant. There is lore that states when a child dies via someone elses hand aka murder the childs psychic energy cannot let go and they created a pocket universe and call in blood relations to help them move on. I mention this as it is the same thing the boy in why was telling christopher. There is also lore regaurding people who turn into monsters and eat people and corpses. There is also the references to the buddist wheel of relms that shows a cycle, i feel with the drawing christpher has made with the circles touching one off each side at the top would symbolise breaking the reencarnation wheel. It makes sence that these people are the original residents that continue to be pulled back to this town. It is why as a child tabithia and victors mother both dreamt of this place as past lives are easier to remember as children not adults, the drugs victors mother took could of unlocked this though. As for the orginal creation of this relm via pychic energy of the children dyig and why there is many different refrences to other lore like the far away tree and tapping into their fears, i believe is due to the children before death being told stories. Upon their death they created this relm with a mixture of each childs experience. It is just a thought but its what i have found in my research, the only other theory i have which is similiar with the children creating these situations is the spirit relm or relm of the lost so to speak. This is where all lore monsters end up, bad fae, yokia, pagan deitys. I believe thomas is from Philiopino lore in which parents loose a child, a demon like creature mimics the childs voice and torments the parents of the dead child, this is referenced in the series as well. They are all interconnected and it was created by the tree system, passing through one pocket to another which explains the time travel with julie. Think of it like asteral projection, also not in the buddism reencarnation lore they mention " they touch, they break they steal, nothing here is free, here we come we come for three" there is a relm dedicated to people like this, i think the relms are blended because of these children and by chopping down the trees they all become stranded in what ever relm is bleeding between the one they are in atm. There's the seelie, where they're generally benevolent and linked to springtime and "goodness", though they CAN be mischievous as well, and then the unseelie, which is linked to winter, bad things, more malevolent behavior. Sorry about your friend. I lost mine last year and still cry about it randomly about as an almost 40 year old man. but here is my thoughts on the numbers and Jade playing the violin next episode. I'm not sure if the numbers pertain to frets or violin chords... But music may play a huge role in fromville. Also I need to address a poop portion of theories out there: there are no sleeper cells, or moles or anything like that. I think theorizers build up all these crazy theories based on world building they've done with the community. Then what the writers actually went for is a letdown because we've spent weeks in a fantastical theorized version of the show versus the very simple, albeit mysterious world the writers created. When the showrunners said we will feel dumb because the answers were trickled in at the beginning of the show, I KNOW that that will lead to disappointment. That doesn't point to sleeper agents or people in the town working with then entities, it will be as simple as there was a game that was to be played, the clues were set forth for the players who instead, stayed at level 1 and the clock ran out. Server wipe, restart. The answer is in the truck with the map of fromville that Victor and Tabitha keep sitting next to but no one mentions in the show. if someone mapped it, it is very possible that they should have been getting stocked in town and then venture forth through the layers of the forest, uncovering the secrets as they went. some would die but if they managed to share info, they'd eventually set the vengeful spirits of the kids free and cease the need for this place to exist. They just never played the game. Boyd played a little and got the talismans as loot.

FROM the beginning (see what I did there?) this show has reminded me a bit of the lovecraftian story of Hastur, The King in Yellow. I thought it was a bit of a stretch, with the last piece of fiction I’ve seen being True Detective that did it any justice, but hearing about an upcoming character called “the man in yellow” has peaked my interest.
I think at the very least they take inspiration from Hastur, as his story is about a play, where the characters slowly descend into madness out of fear. He’s known as the god of shepherds and his true form appears to be like the cave painting of the octopus monster in the show, with the play taking on heavy themes of destiny vs design, “thresholds” within the psyche, and breakpoints in the mind. The characters are slowly driven mad by their fears and minor yet relentless breaks from reality that become more profound over time.
Edit: oh and the characters are doomed to repeat the cycle over and over

Remember the BIW said the “answers are in the beginning” and in S1 Julie was playing with Ethan’s finger puppets, she made up a story about Norman finger puppet saying, “I’m dying, the monsters claws cut too deep”… whoever that story was referring to they said something like “he was their best friend.” Ethan always refers to Victor as his best friend.
I hope this last episode is worth it cuz this season started strong but many episodes were 💩

I was reading about Norse mythology lastnight and from what I read, I think this show is based on that. There are a few stories which parallel events in this show. I suggest everyone does some reading on Norse stories and you'll see what I mean

Now...why do you think there haven't been any revelations. We know that it started with the children many years ago when they were born and murdered in the dark. There is much evidence to suggest that Tabitha is Miranda reincarnated. I like the character development and too much horror can overwhelm me. I'm not a real big horror fan but I do love mystery and good characters. I am enjoying the pace of the show.

Hey geek, there is two closely related lore i have found within this series.. 1. in japanese lore the yokia: komono lady and the children are prominatant. There is lore that states when a child dies via someone elses hand aka murder the childs psychic energy cannot let go and they created a pocket universe and call in blood relations to help them move on. I mention this as it is the same thing the boy in why was telling christopher. There is also lore regaurding people who turn into monsters and eat people and corpses. There is also the references to the buddist wheel of relms that shows a cycle, i feel with the drawing christpher has made with the circles touching one off each side at the top would symbolise breaking the reencarnation wheel. It makes sence that these people are the original residents that continue to be pulled back to this town. It is why as a child tabithia and victors mother both dreamt of this place as past lives are easier to remember as children not adults, the drugs victors mother took could of unlocked this though. As for the orginal creation of this relm via pychic energy of the children dyig and why there is many different refrences to other lore like the far away tree and tapping into their fears, i believe is due to the children before death being told stories. Upon their death they created this relm with a mixture of each childs experience. It is just a thought but its what i have found in my research, the only other theory i have which is similiar with the children creating these situations is the spirit relm or relm of the lost so to speak. This is where all lore monsters end up, bad fae, yokia, pagan deitys. I believe thomas is from Philiopino lore in which parents loose a child, a demon like creature mimics the childs voice and torments the parents of the dead child, this is referenced in the series as well. They are all interconnected and it was created by the tree system, passing through one pocket to another which explains the time travel with julie. Think of it like asteral projection, also not in the buddism reencarnation lore they mention " they touch, they break they steal, nothing here is free, here we come we come for three" there is a relm dedicated to people like this, i think the relms are blended because of these children and by chopping down the trees they all become stranded in what ever relm is bleeding between the one they are in atm. oh also, in the lore... the komono lady always seeks out a man to help protect her child, if they refuse she kills them if they help her she provides them with a reward. In some lore they baby is already with the komono lady and when she hands the baby to the man the baby gets heavy with each step, if baby is dropped she kills. Also keep in mind that fae prenancys cause the body to decay, the pregnancies are extrememly short and the result is a changeling which is depicted much like the creatures that come out at night. All fae have a overlord they must obey, which explains why the girl in colony house stated " we don't like being this way" meaning they have no choice. Music is a source of magic for fae and they ca created illusions, visions and speak dirrectly into the mind.. only high born fae can do this. Iron, fire and silver... all hurt bad fae while silver doesnt hurt the good. They can also break illusions such as boyd lighting the iron light and seeing the tower and why elgin said Silver bullets specifically.
It sounds like you're talking about the unseelie court in the fae realm. There's the seelie, where they're generally benevolent and linked to springtime and "goodness", though they CAN be mischievous as well, and then the unseelie, which is linked to winter, bad things, more malevolent behavior. I find that very interesting.

Fatima was wearing a yellow jacket, and she embodies Virgo, the woman clothed in the sun with the moon at her feet. She is giving birth at the great ordeal in the Hero's journey, which coincides with the winter solstice in the sun's journey. Fatima's birth is the rebirth of the sun, which the man in yellow is a good metaphore for. Do you remember the music video for the Cranberries Zombie? She is the woman clothed in the sun, and underneath the cross are men on horses with bows and arrows, which represents Sagittarius.
