    • @evastalinski.
      @evastalinski.  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you so much! If you're talking about the thickness of the liquid plaster, I usually aim for a runny yoghurt consistency. As long as it's not too watery or very gloopy it should be fine.

    • @evastalinski.
      @evastalinski.  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thanks Ana! That all depends on what type of glaze you use and how high you fire it. There's a lot of discussion online about what constitutes a truly 'food-safe' ceramic item and to be honest I'm not very knowledgeable on this subject, that's why I never claim to make food safe items. I know it is ideal when a jug like this is sintered, this prevents bacteria being able to grow in small crevices, which seems to be the most important thing along with a non toxic glaze.

    Hello,
    thanks for the great video!
    i have a question, i can't open my mold with poured, it has been resting for 3 days already. what did i do wrong, is there a trick :(
    Sorry for the Bad English

    • @evastalinski.
      @evastalinski.  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Anni! Molds can be tricky like that, my best advice would be to pry a dull knife (like a butterknife/one you don't mind ruining) in between your mold parts and wiggle it around and apply a bit of pressure. This will usually cause the seal to break, but if you're not careful you can also damage the mold. I would also say three days is probably a bit too long to leave the slip in your mold, depending on what your mold looks like of course. Speaking from my own experience I usually try to un-mold small pieces a few hours after casting them and wait a full 24 hours for larger pieces. Hope this helps, let me know how it goes if you end up trying it!

    Eva - any idea how you'd make a mold to pour ceramic cheese molds where you'd want small holes in the sides and bottom of the poured 4" and 6" round mold? I was trying to think of how to create a mold with protrusions on the inside that will extend further than the thickness of the poured slip, then carving them off flush inside the green vase - this opening the holes.

      You really have to be very careful doing this. The dish soap isn’t enough to keep it from sticking to the mold. I would use cooking spray and quite a bit of it. Use it to make a small piece first and see how it goes and then go on to something harder.
