I love that you stop each "batch" of stitches and count them. Wasn't planning on it but this turned out and became my very first crochet project! Thank you!
Thank you for the best tutorial out of the millions I've seen on TH-cam. You are softly and clearly spoken and so precise. I could listen to you all day. Your instructions are simple and easy to follow. I can't wait to make both round and pointed versions. Thank you so much indeed ❤❤❤
It’s taken me 2 days of different tutorials to even figure out the centre of the flower! Your video is the only one where it’s all clicked for me so thank you. Now onto the petals !
Thank you SO MUCH!!! You are the only person on here that has made this pattern understandable! I wasted my time writting out a whole pattern from another girl lastnight & it made no sense when I actually did it. Yours is so simple & understandable!!❤❤
Thank you for this tutorial! I’m a new crocheter and this is the first tutorial I feel has really explained sl st in a clear way, which meant I kept the right number of stitches throughout this whole project!! Thank you!
I'm so glad I found your video. I am a beginner. No clue about anything crochet related and I bought a kit to make flower coasters. The instructions in the box were awful and I had to seek help from TH-cam and boy that just got worse. I saw a few talk you through videos and it was hopeless. And I finally found your video and I couldn't be happier. I made my flower coaster with such ease and I even made a pattern of my own with the little knowledge I gained from this video. I am now a new subscriber of yours. Can't wait to try out more patterns and learn more crochet skills
Thank you so much! I made two coasters with different petals, it turned out to be very cute! Going to make more of them in different colours for the presents. Your explanation is very easy to follow and your voice is very pleasant to listen to🙏
thank you sooo much its my first few days crocheting and this is my first every project!!! I just started and you explain it so well, I'm almost done with the center! This was way more helpful than the other tutorials. Thank you!!
I just started on my crochet journey. Really love your video and I made my very first crochet project! Thank you so much. Hope to see more videos tutorial! :)
I have been knitting since I was 15 years old. I just learned to doing the basic crochet stitch SC and DC yesterday because I wanted to make a flower to put on a baby hat. I came across this video and I made a coaster to match my table runner which I knit with the linen stitch. I used bulky yarn so I stopped after reaching 48 stitches! You are so easy to understand and I learned a ton from your tutorial! Thank you! You have a new subscriber! Awesome teaching!
Fantastic tutorial! Your video's shots were super clear, so it helped me a ton when I was trying to see what stitch you were going into. The fact that you repeated the pattern and did each petal with us two times was so helpful! Keep up the great work! 💖
I've always wanted to try making these since I learned to crochet and your pattern is the best I've found! Thank you for sharing. You explain everything so well! I would love to make these to sell in my new shop. :)
I definetly will make these a Christmas present for my best friend, as soon as i‘m out of quarantine to buy the yarn :) thank you for the tutorial ☺️ lots of love from germany
i’ve been struggling for so long to make a flower coaster, i don’t know why but i just could never get it to look right but after i used this tutorial it was so easy for me!! thank you so much
Amazing design I made one set out of your pattern thanks for sharing your such a good teacher you explain well slow but so sure I learned fast from you ma'am.
sorry for my own ref :’) : center piece: chain 2, then 12 double crochets into magic ring, chain 2 then 2 double crochets into each stitch after petals: chain 1 , single, 2 double, 2 double, single chain 1, single, double, 2 double, 2 double, double, single chain 1, single, double, double, 2 double, 2 double, double, double, single
I have tried so many different ways of making coasters watching different videos but this tutorial is THE best one I have ever seen and actually manged to end up with a coaster that actually looks like a coaster, thank you so much lots of love from the UK xx
i just made one earlier today as a christmas gift for my aunt so ill let you know how she likes it but i loved it so much that now im making myself one lol
This is a beautiful coaster. I especially like that the petals are defined by the point! Will be making some gifts!! Thank you for your excellent tutorial….very clear instructions! 💕🤗
I tried the hayhay crochet tutorial first and it was more difficult to follow along. It took twice as long because there were more single crochets. However, I do like that the single crochets make it more stuff and sturdy feeling. This one is more simple because it’s just single and double and has no half double.
I finished one but I think I messed up.. when you have the single crochet on either side of each petal, does that mean there are one or 2 single crochets between each petal?
Just made my first coaster ever! Thanks so much, your step by step voiceover really helped. Mine came out smaller though because the yarn was smaller, but still hella cute! Thank you!🎉
Hello, i love your pattern! i just had one question, if we increased the center before changing colors, how would that work with the petals? i’m fairly new to crochet im sorry.
Hello, maybe you've already found the solution for this 😅 but just incase : instead of starting with patern for the 1st row of petals start with the patern for the 2nd row of petals. I hope this is clear
It’s probably because when you start your next petal, you’re not starting with another single crochet! I did this and unraveled my petals so many times till I realized what I was doing! 😅
Straight to the point, clear, and I must say your have an excellent speaking voice. I still failed on my first project, with the petals using this tutorial; (user error) but I’m gonna make a second attempt
Thank you, I'm making coasters for my mother in law, she has horrible rubber coasters that literally does the opposite of what it's supposed to do. Leaves a pool of liquid. So annoying, so ya, im making her a set. Maybe she will get rid of those rubber ones.
just to clarify, when you start a new row, you don't start crocheting into the chain stitch right?? you skip the chain and go right into the first actual crochet?????? love ur videos im going to make this tomorrow!!!
I love that you stop each "batch" of stitches and count them. Wasn't planning on it but this turned out and became my very first crochet project! Thank you!

I gotta say, the dollar store yarns are actually really good I was so shocked when I tried them.
Yes! And really nice colors at such a great price too!
Ty so much for this video it saved me 😊😅
Thank you! I had no idea dollar tree had yarn and I'm just starting and only have acrylic
Their wool is good too.
Thank you for both round and POINTED I LIKE BOTH TO CHANGE UP for gifts.
Thank you SO MUCH!!! You are the only person on here that has made this pattern understandable! I wasted my time writting out a whole pattern from another girl lastnight & it made no sense when I actually did it. Yours is so simple & understandable!!❤❤
I don't like magic ring so I decided to don't make this but when i see your video I make this whole ❤
yes me too

I made one as I was watching the video and it came out perfect! Sooo happy with the result, going to make a cute set of pink flower coasters 😊
Fantastic tutorial! Your video's shots were super clear, so it helped me a ton when I was trying to see what stitch you were going into. The fact that you repeated the pattern and did each petal with us two times was so helpful! Keep up the great work! 💖
I had to do more pedals because 6 pedals wouldn’t be enough . THANK YOU SO MUCH !!!!!! -☆

it would be so much better if u put the pattern text as overlay like the other videos out there. ❤
Thank you! This is the first tutorial for a flower that I've been able to complete. 😊
Thank you so much for this! This was my first project and although it took like 4 hours and a few attempts I actually did it!
Thank you for this tutorial !! It's really easy to follow ☺️
I ended up with 7 petals but I love it!❤ thanks for the tutorial..its really helpful for beginner like me
I do too 😅 and I’m not a beginner I learned how to crochet 15 years ago. 🤦🏻♀️
Tq…I always have problems in making the ring and grow it from the first layer to another…but your explanation is so clear and I managed to follow 😅
I’m happy to hear that! Thank you!

This is a beautiful coaster. I especially like that the petals are defined by the point! Will be making some gifts!! Thank you for your excellent tutorial….very clear instructions! 💕🤗
I tried to make flower with diff method and that method had so many different stiches. Then i watched your tutorial and made my day 😅❤
Thank you so much this was so helpful
Just finished making one of these...Looking awesome...Thanks for the tutorial
Amazing! I'm making it as a kitchen tea party gift.

That's super cute! Awesome instructions! Thanks so much
can u specify on what to do about the coaster not staying flat because of larger yarn? im a but lost...😢 thanks❤❤😊😊
This really helped mee!! Thank you best crochet tutorial ever! Not hating, but can you make it slower next time? Thank you for the whole effort❤🎉
How many stitches is the last round before you make it pointy is supposed to have?. Also I love this pattern, I'm making it for my mom!❤
I finished one but I think I messed up.. when you have the single crochet on either side of each petal, does that mean there are one or 2 single crochets between each petal?
Nice pattern, turned out cute ❤️
This video has been extremely helpful. Making a flower coaster seemed daunting at first but this is v easy 👏👌
Beautiful coaster. Also you could use the flower coasters for the holidays. Thank you & Happy Crocheting 🌻🌻🌻🌻
Thanks for sharing
Just made my first coaster ever! Thanks so much, your step by step voiceover really helped. Mine came out smaller though because the yarn was smaller, but still hella cute! Thank you!🎉
cute but for my tension personally id go 4mm hook
Thank you so much for the tutorial! It's really clear. I have a questions: If i wanted to make a 4th row, how would the pattern be?
Hi! I love this tutorial and have made some coasters! If i was to sell them, would i be able to and can reference you in the comments?
Thank you for the tutorial! I'll be making one for my mom :)
also Happy New Year!! 🎉
Happy New Year!
Could you enlarge these enough to make placemats?
I keep ending up with 5 petals, does anyone know why, I'm doing the right amount of stitches 🤷♀️
Same here, not sure why. First one I made had 6, second and beyond had 5 🤷♀️
Thank you for choice of round AND Pointed edges. Going to make both for Christmas.
Single, double, 2 db, 2db, double, single 2nd row of petals:)
Single, double, double, 2db, 2db, double, double, single 3rd
what would the pattern be to continue on and do a forth round of petals???
Hello, i love your pattern! i just had one question, if we increased the center before changing colors, how would that work with the petals? i’m fairly new to crochet im sorry.
Hello, maybe you've already found the solution for this 😅 but just incase : instead of starting with patern for the 1st row of petals start with the patern for the 2nd row of petals. I hope this is clear
Kayla.I sorry you got sick I glad you feel better Sweetheart You got some pretty things See you soon VA. 👑✝️❤️🧶🧶
can i ask why my first round of double stitches aren’t flat :( ? they look like 3d donuts right now, please help! beginner here 😢
You might be crocheting too tightly! Try loosening your tension or using a bigger hook
Your tutorial is so easy to follow. But I somehow ended up with 8 petals on the first round after switching colours 🤷♀️
Me to it means u made a mistake
The round has 4 stitches in total I think
It’s probably because when you start your next petal, you’re not starting with another single crochet! I did this and unraveled my petals so many times till I realized what I was doing! 😅
Hi! If I was to make these and give credit for the pattern, could I sell them?
Of course! Good luck with sales ☺️
@@VivCrochets thank you!🩵

How do I do the petal if I made a third round center?
Please answer 🙏 thank you
I increaswd the size of the centre, so what happena with the flower petals? Can someone help me pls
i have the same question
yes i’m wondering this too!
is it possible to make them smaller? my cars cup holders aren’t that big.😅
Yes! You can remove the last round and then if you want you can switch the color for the second round to the petal color
Thanks a ton for the beautiful pointed petal pattern.
Just wondering, my pedals always curl at the end, do you have any tips to stop that?
Hi! I’m SUPER new to crochet, I’m wondering why my 5mm hook seems smaller than yours in the video?😅
my circles keep turning out chunky, any tips
is it alright if i made some to sell? with credit to you of course
Sure, no problem!
note to myself, add one extra row before changing colors
Ahh thank you
help my petals arent flat any way to fix it?
single, double, 2 doubles, 2 doubles, double, single
single, 2 doubles, 2 doubles, single
I can't full my yarn to close the hole. I don't know what I did wrong.
8:12 that’s just my timestamp 😭

you made the center meanwhile mine turned out like a knot im so confused ;3;
can someone please let me know why its turning into a ball😭
I don't know where I did wrong
Maybe you didn't do double crochet's, maybe you did single crochets
Is it just mine turning into the ball?
i got lost as soon as we started going through the circle :(
just to clarify, when you start a new row, you don't start crocheting into the chain stitch right?? you skip the chain and go right into the first actual crochet?????? love ur videos im going to make this tomorrow!!!
Yes. You can try both ways and count to see which works out for you.
I keep doing the steps but for some reason I get 7 pedals and not 6
Mine looks like a messee up flower with a line
