@@DrSimpleBeauty It depends on the design and the condition of the client’s nails. For plain color designs without additional artwork, I usually don’t build the apex with clear gel. Instead, I finish it in one step using a slightly thicker top coat. Even if I skip this step, the final top coat still needs to cure for 1-2 minutes, so considering time and work efficiency, I believe this approach is practical and functional. Also, I create a slight apex when applying the base gel. That’s why I sometimes finish building the apex in the final step as well.
Why build up the apex with topcoat if they have to wait for hardening until the last nail is done? Actually asking with sincerity.
