Can't wait for the next album where they release the sequel. A bright vertical.
And then A Gray Diagonal
@@salottin im dying
Haven’t you heard? They’re gonna release another sequel. A midspectrum curvilinear
@Lachlan Gunnar scam
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
You can see that they tried different melodic approach while remaining brutal and fast af. Imo the best song on this amazing album
RewanPL it really is! Those drums, the solos, jazz interlude, bass is slapping. I love the lyrical content as well.
I love the whole album, but the more I hear, this one. This one, one
human murmuration imho
This song definitely sticks out as the most mature composition-wise but there are so many cool parts all over the album it's hard to say.
CheeZy yes
A band where you can’t tell who’s the busiest.
Cole Allen all of them are working overtime 😂
It's the drummer, by far lol
😂
This album is too fucking good to be so short, definetely their best yet!
We need an epic closer. One more song to truly culminate this album and finish it off proper. This is a good song, but a closer it is not. It feels like a lead in to a closing track.Seems to be the consensus on the reviews for this album. A little short, and leaves the listener wanting.
This is perfect for a closer!
This album would probably be longer, but they play fast. So I mean it evens out. And this is most definitely a worthy closer. So sick.
Yeah this album is like fresh girl scout cookie nugs rather than shitty Mexican weed.
I'll take quality over quantity any day.
Wait for the japanese release, Im sure there will be a bonus track or two
Jared Smith is godly on this entire album; that bass is unreal
no, spencer prewett,
drumer
@@simonfourcheto4385 What?
Yes! That Bass!!! I wish we had more videos of him playing their songs
The bell part at 0:28 kills me. I can't love it enough.
racewiththefalcons1 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
Before I really listened to Archspire very much I wondered why their albums were so short. A lot of metal bands put out 45-60 minute albums compared to the 30-35 minutes that most Archspire releases are. Then once I got into them I realized that they pack about quadruple the average amount of notes, even by extreme metal standards, into most of their songs, and then it made sense.
The dark horizontal.
Ahead, a panting land approaches.
Flaring vibrant coastal glimmers
Mend the distant fraying seams
Of a violent waters restless bedding.
Panic indented in the floating web of wicked mental horrors.
Thought up by the crew's subconscious fears.
Come alive to haunt and drain us.
The sea is a man that's trying to kill me.
The wind is his repugnant voice
The air, his fouled breath.
A stench of salt of blood and rot.
The sky is his mouth, the stars his open sores.
The shoreline is his jaw, grinding for meat.
Time freezes death inside this altering dark horizontal.
Imaginable realities constructed out of fear.
Mountains unstable and hideous.
The guardians of a contorting dimensional paragon.
A.U.M. sent us to find and retrieve the artifact.
In the house of change,
Where the king came back
Through spontaneous regeneration.
Reliving Kairos in the king's hell.
Becoming the mimics from the triplets well.
Exhuming infinity to find a hand.
A child made out of teeth, feeding on blood and sand.
The sea is a man that's trying to kill me.
The air, his fouled breath.
A stench of salt, of blood and rot.
The sky, his mouth, the stars, open sores.
The shoreline is his jaw, grinding for meat.
The sea is a man that's trying to kill me
The sky is his mouth, the stars, open sores.
The shoreline is his jaw, grinding for...
Time freezes death inside this altering dark horizontal
Imaginable realities constructed out of fear.
A dark horizontal
Flooding the linear land with the sand of its own.
In the parallel dunes of its hourglass,
We are buried.
Mountains unstable and hideous.
The guardians of a contorting dimensional paragon.
Raised blades of land stab skyward through the oceans skin.
Storm winds true their edge to scalp the curve of earth.
Peeling off the rind, revealing a house made of living tissue.
Yelling out its mouth for me to regenerate, in it.
In dark horizontal.
Ahead, a panting land approaches
Flaring vibrant coastal glimmers
Mend the distant fraying seams.
Of a violent waters restless bedding.
In this house the disease of dream
Course in the veins and arteries of the walls.
Imagined infections thrive.
They blister and breed under the floor.
Their many roots are breaking through.
Saplings sprout and secure their place.
Growing into trunks of flesh and boil.
The pillars of man's deepest fears.
Enclosing me in a forest of unforgiving mental genesis.
I mold this house of clay bacterium.
Where I sculpt my own organ prison.
In this house beyond our time, this house at the end of the earth.
The artifacts resting place.
A dark horizontal fear, defying the linear
Lost in this storm and exhausted of options
I crawled to the bow of the boat and leaped off it.
The figure head came alive.
And it clawed and it grabbed at me.
Desperately wailing in agony.
Failing to capture my fall. Diving through the fog.
Through the grey and green.
My hands bound together as if in prayer.
I cut through the mesh of black liquid surrounding us.
Fighting against the live current of thousands of eyes and hands.
Miles I swam. Through skin and limb.
The sea is a man that's trying to kill me.
The air, his fouled breath. A stench of salt of blood and rot.
The sky, his mouth, the stars, his open sores.
The shoreline is his jaw grinding for meat.
The sea is a man that's trying to kill me.
The sky is his mouth, the stars, open sores.
The shoreline is his jaw, grinding for...
Time freezes death inside this altering dark horizontal
Imaginable realities constructed out of fear.
How the fuck is Oli memorizes all these lyrics? Fucking insane.
Lyrics are much needed
Holy shit that lyricism is fuckin amazing.
Meanwhile:
"Baby baby baby, ooh
I thought you'd always be mine"
Fred .. no.
3:59 is probably the most impressive thing I've ever heard a band do. I cant believe how well they stay together at that speed
crazyyyyyyyyyyy
And they play this live too. fucking insanity
When a song isn't even sad but it's so emotional that an unknowing tear falls out of your face....
I feel so less alone now, I thought I was the only one

Best song on the album constantly have the chorus stuck in my head
same here, chorus is amazing
it makes me cry ;-;
@@nachfullbarertrank5230
Is it making you cry because the sea is trying to kill oli?😢
This song.. nay, this entire *album* is pure perfection. So grateful for this incredible music and the band's dedication to the craft. Bravo!
If I was learning drums and someone showed me this song I would quit
2:30 ... this beauty.
This entire song is beautiful....
We all know this is the best album of the year, but this is also best song of the album making it the best song of the year!
so,this is the best band of the year, the decade and the century.....in my opinion,it s ALMOST real !
This guitar riff is killing me... But i like remote tumour too...
Drummer: "How many notes per minute do you want?"
Guitarist: "Yes"
These are not gravity blast beats. They're anti-gravity blast beats.
Antimatter blast beats.
Blast beats are so heavy they create full black holes.
I was so happy when they played this when I saw them earlier this month. Didn’t expect to hear gems like this and the Mimic Well, but the fuckers played EVERY song from this album, and most of their other stuff. Also Dean was probably one of the nicest guys I’ve literally ever met.
Hey thanks muffin!
4:43 I just can't not crank this part
A poetic and eloquent analogy of the brutality lurking in the depths.
Lovecraftian
Jesus fucking christ man, the blast beats are somewhere in the 370bpm range, at least my metronome app tells me. Literally what the fuck. I cannot even comprehend this.
Sleepwalkers I do know the Gravity Blast, but I mean the parts at around 2:00 ; 8th notes at very high speed haha. Spencer has also stated on his facebook a while ago too, that he was finally able to blast at 380 or something... it's just not humanly comprehensible anymore haha
That could be a gravity blast as well, those 8 notes. Just the same as he used it at the end of Seven Crowns and the Oblivion Chain. Watch him play that song live. While he certainly is capable to blast at insane speeds it is probably a gravity blast providing those 8 notes. Especially with all the cymbal work going on and normally he likes to switch during his fast blasts which makes it harder to use that many cymbals in a beat.
Got a point there! Super impressive nonetheless, I'm having a hard time coordinating fast switching etc at 200bpm already haha..
The part at 2:00 is absolutely a gravity blast aswell. Only way to achieve speed like that without gravity blasts or hand switching would be with the push pull technique, but only very few have actually mastered it to such an extent...
Clearly samples or a machine.. fakest sounding kick drums I think I've ever heard.
"The sea is a man that's trying to kill me"
The Kings of Technical DeathMetal
🤘💀☠💀🤘
I've been sitting like this for 6 minutes listening?
Something about space-time fails when I listen to Archspire, I swear.
Best song out of the album imo, that part at 0:57 is incredible, high melody value thanks to the amazing bass line+guitar riff
Real world Dethklok ladies and gents. I get chills from this band.
The last half of this song is such a fucking eargasm
i live for these blehs
If this album isn't soon to be WIDELY known and considered by anyone with a clue to be an absolute fucking masterpiece, and at the very least a crazy impressive display of musicianship and composition by those who don't particularly like heavy metal, then I don't know how to measure my disdain for humanity.
it's been 4 months and I'm still boggled at what the fuck is 4:00
Cant decide a favorite off this album... Too good
Remote tumor seeker!!!!!
This song is beautiful
Couldn't agree more. The story is magnificent in this, the Harmonies and different uses of keys are absolutely BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!!!! The tempos and how they keep together throughout is just AMAZING! This is actually inspiring an aesthetic for my slice of life comic about metal musicians. I think the focus for them should be harmony with depiction for my band. Like in the second part of the chorus where the key changes from no key to straight up Eb minor, coolest key change, like, EVER!!!!!!!!
@@WolfgangXP65-67 Hey. Didn't know you knew Archspire. This is my favorite band. I listen to them every single day.
@@thelastdaybreathinginetern1385 Dude, YOU got me to listen to them.
@@WolfgangXP65-67 Lol, *snaps back into reality* oh haha yeuh, I remember. 😅
@@thelastdaybreathinginetern1385 ya. When I first found you. Guess what, I just practiced acoustic guitar after having a horrible riff with someone on TH-cam. I was making a song about the chill of Florida mornings. It's in major chords, but I am making a song.
Taken the place of my favorite metal band. A lot of tech metal out there at the moment but this seems to rise above the rest in my ears.
THE WHOLE BAND IS VERY VERY UNDERRATED
absolute masterpiece, stunning display of pure skill and musicality, I really, really love this!
i got a fever! and the only prescription, is more blast beats.
I love the times when still calm and new return to chaotic and fast rythms
Archspire: Thanks for existing!
I love this song.
This clean part is beyond amazing
freaking love this band
How is this so catchy yet so brutal
4:00 you guys literally morph into submachine mutant autobots and completely forget that you're trying to pretend to be humans here. gotta be a bit more subtle guys 🤙💀
Fantastic song. Reminds me of old Faceless.
Spliffmaster J For sure! Very Planetary Duality!
Much faster.
Spliffmaster J Both incredible bands but nobody comes close to Spencer behind the skins
Was thinking the same thing
More like Spawn of Possesion imo
Nathan Explosion is that you?!
Right lol?
This song and the mimic well keep blowing my mind. Everytime I listen to those two songs, i find something new within them .
3:59 - 4:44 may be the most technical thing ever made
The First solo is Just Something Else
"Time freezes death inside this altering dark horizontal
Imaginable realities constructed out of fear"
I like the way he sings "Imaginable" like he is puking
sick
Well this is pretty good
Ok -ish right?
This song really gets me going. I'm the kind person who likes to feel the percussion in my metal. I'll do pretty much anything to maintain vibratory synchronicity with the drums which includes finger tapping, stepping, even teeth chattering. Can you even imagine what goes on when this song comes on? By the end of it I'll have grinded my teeth down to the gums and break both my wrists and ankles.
🤘🤘 YEAAAAAAAAAAA!!
so short but extremly high level beautifull work !!!
Short?? Short would be more like prison born
2:26 sounds a lot like Bach, stylistically.
well, it's straight up from Fransisco Tarrega, which is traditional spanish guitarist, with a lot of classical ansd baroque's influence, such as Bach.
So you are right in a way
check out capricho arabe, at 35 seconds or so
It's cool to see other classical music enthusiasts also dig Archspire. Good to know, I'll surely check it out. Thanks!
True, and I hear some Mozart on Involuntary Dopplegagnger too
patrolmostwanted there is a lot of classical influence on this album and the fact that they pulled it off, shows how technical and beautiful their music really is.
I adore the sound of the toms… I mean….
3:53 "Follow the donuts!"
The musicianship here is amazing. Some kind criticism, i just wish the vocalist had more of a range. Some highs mixed in would sound sooo good. I'm thinking of some "shadow of intent" or "harbored dreams" type vocals. It's like the vocalist has one scream only. The short breathy growls.
I mean that's the reason he is their vocalist. The band was looking for a vocalist to "rap growl", and I like it, never heard anything like it before.
can't wait to see these dudes in Nashville
This song is talking about the sensations of a panic atack, the dark of the vision, like the sea,the fear of being dead for something or someone that even exists, bust its just mine opinion, what is your interpretation about the lyrics and how the melodie match with how the song is talking
The most pop song on the album
Crazy awesome
excellent !
Doctor : you have 6 minutes and 11 seconds to live
Me:
6:10*
@@jessfreeman3272 I actually need 1 second to actually realize it
I like the part at 2:18 where it get slower and quieter, and then it get to the cool part with the synth at 3:04 (I think it's a synth, it sounds pretty weird), and then it goes insane of course.
O my god a new album yes
Peak technical death metal
"they say there's a nun that's trying to kill me"
Great song, great album. But those misheard lyrics crack me up
JESUS FUCKING CHRIST THAT RIFF AT 4:00 HOW DOES A HUMAN PLAY THAT WITHOUT THE USE OF ADDITIONAL HANDS BEYOND THE REGULATION TWO
computers help
masterpiece
Every song on the album is sick as hell. I am so often left feeling discouraged by current metal - these ones are the dogs bollocks though. Can’t wait for more 🤘🤘🤘
This is fucking mental.
I wonder if the 360bpm snare was a gravity blast or not. I've only seen 3 people do 360+ normally. Whatever, this album destroys. Also, has the vocalist gotten a medal yet?
May be a switch blast he uses often, what part You talking about (in minutes)?
Cole Allen the 360 Blast is Switch Blast But the really fast Rolls are Freehand
5:02 that is all
2:18 to 3:20
Anyone catch the Mozart melody transposition?!
A Mozart piece came to mind as well. Anyone know what piece it could be?

Listen clean guitar in mono. MAGIC OF MIXING
Did I just catch a Victor Wooten reference in the bass line at 1:04? I swear that's a melody straight out of The Lesson...
When a girl won't leave your house.. just play this non stop. Wow it actually works
You play this at your house?
If so, I may have to go to your house 😉lol
