omg, never would have guess that you would jump into the statue band wagon, if you like shinobu or demon slayer, i would suggest fantasy studio, TNT, LX, Hero Belief, these studio have quite good designs and experience, my personal opinion
space is a major deterrent for statue collecting for me so i'll just live vicariously through you and other statue collectors. that being said excellent choice in beginning your collection, congrats!

Just finished watching the video and figured that a second comment is in order. I'm blown away by the detail and lighting effects of that resin statue. I did not expect it to look that awesome to be honest but I was blown away once the light was turned on. The price at $345.99 also seemed very reasonable. 😃 I remember paying €310 for my Cyberpunk 2077 Trauma Team statue and while that one was also pretty detailed; it did not come with anything extra. It was basically a giant piece of polystone and ridiculously heavy but did not come with any LEDs or anything. Likewise with the statue from the CP2077 Collector's Edition which I was also very happy with but it would have been cool if it had some lighting effects here and there. 😅 That said, you definitely have an awesome collection!

I just hopped into statues a couple months ago, I was about to pick up some more statues specifically a Sanemi statue that I saw some people recently received and it looked so nice, but I’m moving soon so I had to hold off😪

Ooof. Resins are slippery slope to start getting into. Awesome piece. Thankfully those 1/7 and 1/8 scales with footprints on the smaller side aren't as bad. I'm over here drowning in 1/4 scale Berserk characters.
I bought from FNC twice. One of my orders never made it to me. Dealing with FNC customer service was the worst. They claim it got delivered with FedEx, but FedEx customer service stated it was never a valid FedEx tracking number but it is USPS. After presenting this info to FNC, FNC claimed it was USPS. So I showed how USPS says it is await package, then they proceeded to claim it is FedEx not USPS; I clarified if possibly both, they said no just FedEx Bought from Favorgk no issues here.

So what kinda materials are these figurines/statues/statuettes usually made out of? Just some kind of plastic? I also have quite a few anime figures but and also have a lot of Cyberpunk 2077 stuff with some of them being made of polystone which also makes them very heavy. But I take it that resin is a newer way for companies to make statues? I assume that resin statues are more detailed? Do companies also print them like we would with a resin printer; but on a much larger scale? I'm also always wondering what kind of paint they use. Like my household acrylic paints scuff off quite easily yet the paints used on these figures seems to be much more durable most of the time. So I'm still looking for what type of paint they use for these figures. 🙂

I collect diecast/resin cars (1/18) and some of my higher-end models are in the 4 figures. The amount of detail and the size of this is such a STEAL at that price! Great piece to the collection 👌🏼👌🏼

I haven't seen a statue figure just like that. I'd love to have that if it's nezuko or other anime mc like yumeko jabami. However, shinobu still known as a decent character in Demon Slayer and she's very detailed with full of customisations.

I’m looking into resin ones after recently learning that pvc Banpresto figures are carcinogenic especially due to phthalates exposure. Are resin ones completely non-toxic or are there any hazards we should also be aware of?
Imo huge anime statues mostly arent worth it if the figure is slightly better than prizefigure quality and 90 percent of the price are spexial effects and the base. Where as videogame or comic character statues have way more surface detail ob clothes and skin which make it standout from its cheqper counterparts
I really like FavorGK, it seems that nowadays most “unofficial” figures look way better than the ones that are. I know it’s about licensing, distribution etc etc… but man they really go all out without restrictions. The only downside is that most figure collectors oppose to these figures because they “aren’t supporting the original artist” which is true but I think it barely makes any difference since these figures are so low in quantities.
Yeah I hear you! I'm limiting how many I buy from a combination of supporting licensed figures and also of course price/space! Statues like this one I couldn't resist 😁
@@JoanneOfArc Fanatic anime store is also a good place to buy from! Some People prefer it because of lower shipping prices. I remember literally only paying $58 ( US dollars ) for a statue. Just expect a break on a resin every now and then. You were lucky to not have a single one in this one's video but either way, most resin breaks are clean and an easy fix!

I have that SDS Shinobu and Giyuu I would say compared to my fantasy and yoyo studio statues their paint is more shiny and sculping is also not as good but still was happy with my purchases specially giyuu from SDS.

I almost bought a resin statue myself last month but the price tag on these things are not for a small wallet. Then you gotta pay super big on shipping. On top of that you gotta worry about it arriving intact. For 800$ I had to pass 🤣

Resin statues are amazing detail wise, but they scare me cause breaking in transit is a nightmare to deal with. The water and the way it lights up is super gorgeous! Also I had a lot of problems with my chiaki figure with the TV bending down on her too, I had to fix it myself by heating it up since customer service didn't help and it really doesn't look good when the TV is that close :( Honestly put me off Phat forever
I think I have the link to the nendo stand in my description! It's from Amazon 😁. And yeah I was super nervous about the statue breaking in transit but the first statue at least arrived okay 🙏. I feel you on the Chiaki and TV. I tried bending mine without heat but maybe I'll give that method a try too

It's a bit scary at first, but the support pole can take some serious damage... Like I stopped caring and bent it with a lot of force and it still didn't break. She looks a lot better with the TV pushed back

a good tip, use the white cloth gloves Japan taxi drivers use for handling the statues. resin mainly, helps so finger oils don't damage the paint.

shinobu’s is super beautiful but i really don’t enjoy how wobbly it seems to be. i feel like just a small bump would take it apart
