Hi Dan Well you Tell Them it's just Easier and your Not As Tired after a long Day of Picking Up little Chunks and Putting in The Kindlet 200 vs just One long Chunk 👍
Those beautiful mini splits are the main reason I only split firewood from big rounds, 18-30 inches. Perfect, clean, almost barkless and wonderful to stack. I really do enjoy your progression and your enthusiasm.
Yeah on bigger rounds once you take off the outer edge/layer the inner splits really come out nice...bark-free is nice & clean both in working with it and appearance. Thanks!
That's the catch 22....looks too good to burn...lol...but with those table top fire pits once they get going they can burn pretty much anything. Sort of like a rocket stove!
I do the same, when i have thick, large diameter cookies. Split them into strips, then bust off chunks. I don't have a machine tho... Just me and my axe.
now youll see what the true value of a tree is. i built an "x" splitter about 6 years ago for kindling than switched it over for doing this pizza wood 3 years ago.. now time to build a kiln..
Great new process! " Mini-Slab: a slab of wood, that fits in a Kindlet, from which, upon splitting, you derive Mini-firewood."
Success for sure. Looks like it worked well. Take care
Reminds me of the plunger on a square baler..neat tool. Best of luck with the new venture!
slicker than a candle makers wick!
Great job with the minnies 😂
Hi Dan it looks Faster the Way you did it 👍

Exactly...I'd rather load 2 pieces than 10...hahahaha
Good luck with your mini firewood sales. "Chunky Mini Splits". Stay safe.
Thanks....I like that, 'Chunky Mini's'...lol

hi up there looks real good to me . best to all john
Nice work Daniel. Would a machine like this be feasible for a mini firewood home business?
Definitely was a success, I've been wondering when we would be seeing part 2 of this experiment 😊 Good thinking outside of the round 👍
'Thinking outside the round' NICE!....dang wish I would've thought of that! lol
@Back40Firewood you can use it now 👍
No bark on that either, that really helps clean up the process. At this rate you'll need a mini kiln soon.
Bark-free is nice and yes, clean.
The name is victims,, good job looking very efficient
Dan,sometimes you just have to go out on a limb to accomplish something new 👍😮😊❤
Definitely was chugging out the MW. How about long chunkular pieces?
Bill
Hahaha...yes, Chunkular! 👍🍻
0:56. Trust me I’d make it in there 😂
That is a much faster way to produce than my current setup 😂
It's definitely fast, although the hatchet can be pretty quick as well once you get a good flow going.
Do you ever have to sharpen the splitting blades?
Haven't had to yet....don't think you do, but not sure.
Your mini firewood is beautiful. Displays very well. If it burns half as well as it looks, I will be well pleased.

QQQ Dan just Call Them Chunky Chucks
Great success Dan! You nailed it.👍🪵
Are you sure you don’t want to go back to splitting mini firewood with a hatchet, lol

Cants , sawmill call the chunks that are sawn down to rectangular blocks a cant.
Curious. The long chunks are they ‘green’ or aged. Does it matter with this machine.
Those were aged, although the inside was still pretty high in moisture. Doesn't matter with this machine, I've run both through no problem.
So if it’s under 8” it will fit.
Bigger chucks for furnace hehehe
Well, i think you get a 98 out of 100 for this idea, now get 1 person to feed and one to box up the wood and you got 100
Call them “strips” of wood?
Plugs slabs or blocks
27x 5 = 155
Ummm....20x5 = 100 & 7x5 = 35, 100+35 = 155???
@Back40Firewood yeah guess I was still asleep when I did that.
