I cannot say how disappointed I was when I got my GBA copy and found it only had HALF of the Block Town music. You can’t tell me that cartridge couldn’t hold the other half of the song! Rip OFF! Great video. Turns out I really miss the “singing saw” part over the breakdown when it’s missing!
I'd be disappointed too. The GBA was a system with so much potential, but unfortunately it's great hardware was wasted on mostly lazy ports. In Pac-Man Collection's defense, it was atleast an early game for the system when cartridge sizes were smaller, but even I can't buy the fact they couldn't fit the entire song on the cartridge.
@@diskyboy86they probably could have fit the whole song in the cartridge… if all of the songs weren’t stored in INDIVIDUAL samples and not just sequencer files
@@geometricentric Yeah I'm pretty sure most of the music/sounds were sampled rather being remade with GBA's soundfont which would of took less space...still at least it's port of Pac Man Arrangement is pretty good tho it's missing the credits/ending.
The remix in Smash has warped my mind so much because it's odd not to hear the Pac-Man's Park segment at the start. It feels incomplete without it now lol
Sure, why not. It's the only Pac-Mania song I've yet compare. There's no Euro computer or Master System versions though, since those versions just reuse the Block Town music.
I like the music from Java one more than most of the other versions. I think the instruments sound really cool, especially the deep beeping sound in the background.

I’ve been saying that those two songs belong with each other and not separate like every other Pac-Man game
Nice, me like and me groove bc this is groovy!
Can you do sandbox land next?

I love this kind of stuff :] thank you
Thanks for the kind comment. Your Marble Madness videos were definitely an inspiration for this.
You my friend just earned a sub
Thank you so very much! This channel has grown faster than I ever could imagine.
17:21 its my faivorte block town ost
There is only one version missing, and that's on the Sharp X68000.
It sounds just like the arcade version
The msx2 version sounds great!
It does. Had it been faster, it'd sound just like the arcade. My personal favorite is the ZX Spectrum. Matt Furniss did a great job on that one.
@@diskyboy86 same
Dude, the ZX version. It's just the Amstrad version but low pitc
This is a banger

Jungly steps for the GBA gets *blocked* out of *town*
Just like Sandbox Land got blocked on multiple home computer conversions of Pac-Mania! 😂👍
This sounds great! I just got my Genesis working and I’ve been playing it all day! Anyway thank you so much for this❤
You're very welcome! Glad you enjoyed it.
Nostalgia
hard to believe the grandslam versions butchered it so so bad
Well Accept For The MSX And ZX Spectrum Versions, They We’re Pretty Accurate To The Arcade😊
@@LorenzoNetworkLLCthey weren’t, the pitch is the same but the melodies are the same as the amiga/acorn archimedes(the good music)
The Master System version is so bad. The other Master System songs were at least okay, but they butchered Block Town beyond belief.
I'd say that Jungle Steps is even worse personally. It legit sounds like its from an early MS-DOS game with CGA graphics, it's that bad.
